Pietro's Prime Ratings and Reviews
Used to be my go to restaurant for steaks and high-end celebrations. Twice in the past two months the service has been horrific, 20 minutes to get drinks, longer for wine, ridiculous food service (some of which came out cold). While the staff are and ownership are nice it doesn't excuse their complete inability to take care of their clientele. A $1,500 tab and a $450 tab respectively, didn't ask for a break (despite their forgetting it was my sons birthday) and didn't get one, but you can't eat apologies.
We arrived very early for our reservation and we were grateful that the restaurant accommodated us and was able to seat us early, despite being a fairly busy Saturday night. We had a wonderful experience and our steaks were very good. Will come back and would recommend.
While visiting our Granddaughter at WCU, we wanted someplace special to take her to dinner. Pietro's was the greatest find, ever. We arrived earlier than we planned, but were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our waiter Gabriel was extremely knowledgeable about the specials and the wine list. He was also very attentive to our needs and helped make our evening out a memorable one.
As always this place is great! We went during the West Chester Christmas Parade so it was packed, loud and really fun!!! Everyone was happy and full of Christmas spirit. Even though they were packed everyone was calm and friendly. I would recommend Pietro's on any night but that night was extra special
I had put 2 hours of $$ on the parking meter. We ordered drinks. When they arrived, we immediately ordered dinner - no first course, salad, etc - just the main course. Following the main course, we immediately ordered just ice cream for dessert. The service was so slow that I received a $25 parking ticket. And this was on a Thursday at 6:30 PM, with a reservation made well in advance - not the busiest time for dinner nor the busiest day of the week.
When I make a reservation on Open Table I don’t expect to be told my table will be ready in 10 minutes and then have to stand and wait over 20. The food is ok but wildly over-priced. Service is ok but the atmosphere is so frenzied that this is not the place for a relaxing dinner.
The four of us all had steak. While we had different cuts we each found the steak the be quite tough and chewy. Additionally we agreed the steaks lacked flavor. Incidentally 1 of our 4 asked for medium rare and it arrived rare to raw. The sauces accompanying the steaks were not bad and the sides were good. While it may have been an off night for the restaurant, we will not be back.
Food was good. Waitress service was excellent. Had to wait 45 minutes with reservation when I finally asked about the wait I was met with an attitude by the hostess saying I never checked in when in fact she was the person to check me in when I arrived. She was not apologetic at all and really portrayed an uncaring attitude toward the patrons. This will certainly affect business if this continues
Delicious meal. The bread was warm and fresh (lovely knotted rolls with either butter or a flavored olive oil). The French onion soup is beefy and flavorful. Had the veal osso bucco over mushroom risotto which was outstanding. Brussel sprouts sauteed with bacon and with a maple glaze were delicious. Both were specials for the night. My husband had the steak salad which was also delicious. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert. Very much enjoyed the live music as well. I believe KB Band was playing. A lively evening out!
Very nice, lively bar. It looked like the bar menu was pretty solid, but we did not order from that.
The food in the restaurant was not good. We ordered two appetizers, crab cake and buffalo oysters. Both were "ok", but definitely not at the level expected for the cost. The steak was $45 and was very disappointing - it was thin, full of hard tissues, and did not have a good flavor. The cut of meat was just not good - very disappointing for the cost. The sides were also not good - the creamed corn is basically a cheese sauce with corn in it, and the corn was under cooked... not good. We will not be returning.
A great time with two friends. Our server, Lilly, was terrific--very helpful with recommendations. I've dined here several times; since it was a quiet Sunday evening, the noise level was fine. During other visits, however, it was challenging to hear others at the table. I'm hoping that issue has been resolved because it's gratifying to have a family owned fine dining restaurant that is doing well in the borough.
We sat in the tables at the end of the bar. It has exposed brick walls and a tv over the fireplace. We enjoyed that since we wanted to watch college football.
Food was excellent. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were very good as well.
Great place for a date night!
The food was delicious which is what we went for. However the waitstaff was very poor. We did not receive bread plates. While I was still eating the waitress came and asked if we would like the remaining food boxed, which we did, she proceeded to take the food away even though I said I would like to finish eating. Everybody else in the restaurant was still eating and there was no-one waiting for a table. After she walked away from the table she asked if we wanted desert as an afterthought.
The food and service is always excellent, but we were in the back room with overhead ventilation. The HVAC system would turn on and off and make it hard to hear when mixed with everyone else's conversations. The interior noise level is very high and with no partitions between tables, the sound travels.
We enjoyed all of our food while the service was top notch. For some reason, the HVAC in the back room (never sat there) was very loud.
