Pietro's Prime Ratings and Reviews
I have to be honest -- this was the only the 2nd time in dozens of visits that I have had a bad meal at Pietro's-- but it was 2 bad meals only a month apart. Not sure about a return visit. Had signature ribeye filet and mahi mahi. The fish was not good and way over cooked; the filet was very tough and unflavorful. Very unusual for Peitro's. Also had a special tomato/onion/romoulade/blue cheese salad that was not good--the onion was so thick and overpowering, I could not even eat it and the combo of the other ingredients did not taste good together (maybe bc I couldn't eat the onion with them?), and there was way too much romoulade dressing. Service was fabulous though!
Myself, my daughter and two year old granddaughter went for lunch for a delayed Mothers Day celebration. At lunchtime on a Saturday, a few tables were occupied but the restaurant was very quiet. The service was perfect and they went out of their way to accommodate our having a small child with us - right down to making chocolate milk for her. The food was delicious and restaurant itself is very nice. I highly recommend it.
We had a lovely dinner at Pietros! The food was very good. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent. Our waitress was professional and friendly. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they even gave us a complimentary glass of champagne. So glad this restaurant is in our neighborhood!
This was a significant anniversary dinner for us and we decided to try Pietros for the first time.
We were not disappointed with the food in any way. The steaks were superb as were the sides. Pietros has a bit of a casual, local atmosphere which was nice.
All in all a really nice experience and we will be back.
my steak was cooked to perfection and topped off with a crab meat sauce that was excellent. My asparagus were cooked perfect and the waitress was absolutely friendly and experienced. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a great steak dinner or a special occasion (but don't wait too long for that occasion - maybe celebrate a Thursday night).
My husband and I love, love, love Pietro's Prime. My husband can't say enough wonderful things about our dining experience, the food, the service and we always look forward to going to Pietro's Prime. We are convinced that they have the best beef in all of Southeastern PA. I am the biggest fan of their mushroom soup, onion rings and "Nonna's" carrot cake. The service is always great. I can't believe that our waiter this most current time at Pietro's, was beyond great!!It was a fabulous evening............We love, love, love it there.
We were a party of 10 celebrating a birthday and using 2 gift cards received at Christmas. We had heard good things about Pietro's Prime. The food was very good, although the person who ordered the ribeye was disappointed. Not that it was bad, he just has had better at other steakhouses. The service was excellent. Only complaint is the prices. Extremely overpriced for the size of the portions, and everything is ala carte.
We went for dinner on Tuesday, May 9th. We were seated immediately and our service was prompt and attentive. Both of us had the mushroom soup as an appetizer (very good, very filling) and I had the 8 oz filet mignon and my husband had the scallops. My filet was cooked just as I liked it and was very tender and my husband said his scallops were delicious. Great restaurant!!
Pietro's wants to be a high end steak house with high end pricing but honestly it was just okay. The four of us agreed that the standard fare at a Ruth Chris's or Morton's was better and they have a long reach to compete with the great steak houses in the area.
Excellent service, attentive, not hovering. Great suggestions for their specials. Seafood was top notch and cooked to perfection. No room for dessert, next time for sure. Seated as soon as we walked in. Great cocktails and beer selection. Will be bringing friends and family here.
Extremely LOUD! And expensive.... Very busy on a Saturday night and the interior is very cool, exposed brick, hardwood floors. Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to have a conversation because of all the hard surfaces bouncing all that noise around the room. This is the only real steakhouse in the borough and it is way over priced. Did I say expensive?? All items are a la cart so you can run the bill up in a hurry. If I'm going to pay that much for a meal I would rather have it in a quiet, romantic restaurant where my date and I can share conversation.
The crab appetizer was outstanding, and every bit worth the price. The steaks were as good as we
expected, and the sides were served family style as explained. Our waitress was very good, and
could explain each cut of beef and how it was prepared. The decor was really nice too,
and judging from the crowd, it is a neighborhood gem. We will return.
The four of us had a great dinner experience. Larry took care of all of our needs and was very knowledgeable when it came down to the menu and beverages. Highly recommended establishment. Great dining room areas. Bar looks like it would be fun to hang out in.
Made a reservation for 8pm and did not get sat until 8:50. They didn't notify us that our table was not ready and we sat there waiting. The bar area is super small and very loud. Live music is cool to hang out and drink but was too loud to enjoy for dinner. Food was excellent though, recommend for a special occasion for sure ($$$$).
The night started out with about a 15-20 minute wait on our 7:45 reservation. We were sat by a busy traffic area and across from the bar. There was live music and it felt like it was right in our ears. I could barely hear my wife all night. It took almost 25 minutes to get our starters. The server acknowledged there was a mix up in the kitchen. Understood. After we completed our starters, it was another 30 minutes before we received our entrees. Two medium temperature filets. The forgot to bring one of our sides. We were assured we were getting it made fresh and hot. It came out cold. That dish was taken off the check. I can't understand why it took so long to receive our food. We felt our server was avoiding us or just too busy. No manager was present or visible. You would think that when a couple is spending $125 on dinner that someone would be present and apologetic when things aren't going right. Needless to say, my wife and I won't return to Pietro's. The food that was hot was great. The ambience, service, and accountability were not.
We changed our reservations twice on OpenTable due to a babysitter delay and we were surprisingly seated immediately upon arrively, despite a gathering of people outside of the restaurant waiting for tables. Gabriel, our waiter, was extremely knowledgeable and was more than willing to spend time offering recommendations and making sure we were taken care of. The 30-day aged NY Strip was fantastic and my wife's surf & turf was the best she's had in a long time. The lobster mac & cheese was phenomenal as well. Great overall experience!
Food was great and our server was amazing!!! The only negative was that we had made a reservation a week in advance and still had to wait over a half hour for our table and the host was not polite. Told us that reservations didn't matter on a Saturday night.
If it wasn't for the great waiter that we had I would have written a much worse review. He treated us wonderfully and had a great knowledge of the menu.
We both ordered specials for the night and the food was great!
