Pietro's Prime Ratings and Reviews
#1 - food was done perfectly (cooked to our orders and seasoned very well). Wine list catered to all budgets although no red-blends were served by the glass and the by the blend bottle selection was very small. #2 - we look forward to going back on a normal night(our first time was NYE=overbooked). Thankfully, when we were seated for our 9:15 reservation 45 mins late - the manager placed us at a wonderful private back room with a 6 top. After a few minutes, the first hostess to visit us told us there had been a mistake and because our party was only 5 we were being asked to move to another table --- we politely declined the honor and placed our drink order instead.
This was our second visit and this was a disapointment. It was Christmas Eve, but still, the service should have been better. We waited over half an hour past our reservation time to be seated. We had to ask for bread, and when the waiter asked later if we wanted more bread and we said yes, we never received it. Service was not good and food just ok. Probably won't return. Too many other restaurants in the WC area that are much better a better value.
Never disappoints! Food is excellent from App to entree. This is not just a great West Chester dinning spot it rivals anything you will find in Philadelphia and exceeds most of them. My wife and I love it here.
Great place to get to early and relax at the bar with a drink prior to dinner. I have eaten here 10 plus times and each visit seems to get better and better. Is that even possible given today's climate for restaurants.
The service was very good. Its says something about the wait staff and the restaurant when your server can go through all the daily specials without looking at notes. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable with recommendations. The calamari appetizer was one of the best I've had. It was very tender and dipping sauce was amazing. Our steaks, a Dry aged NY Strip and an 8 oz filet, were cooked perfectly with that charred crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. It was fairly expensive @ $185 for 2 but was a high-quality overall dining experience.
The food and service were excellent. Our serverwas very professional and caring.
He knew the specials without a crib sheet.
My only complaint, and it's not with the restaurant, was with the noise from the
group beside us. I would suggest tables for 2 be better placed if possible.
Pietro's has long been one of our favorite WC spots. The food is the draw her. GREAT STEAKS...if you like them...this is the place to come in WC. Crowded this night due to the Holiday Parade but we expected that. The food was still top notch....the service not so much to much wait time for initial contact with wait staff and lots of lag time getting each step of the meal from drinks to main course.
This was my first time at Pietro's, and it did not disappoint! The food was incredible, which made the occasion we were celebrating seem that much more special to the four of us. Our waitress was wonderful as well, and the Pinot was great! I'll definitely be back sometime soon, but this time with my fiancé for a date night!
We went for our anniversary dinner so knew we were going to pay a bit more in selecting a steak house. The atmosphere allowed us to have a romantic dinner since the tables were spaced fine. The calamari was the best we have ever had so we highly recommend that selection. Overall, it was a great experience for a special occasion dinner.
Despite the fact that this is a steak house we both had fish---I had the chilean sea bass (menu item) which was really good and she had the mahi mahi (special item) which was good but small portion. Overall good experience although prices are on the high side--like a Mortons with everything ala carte.
This was the 1st trip in to Pietro's after hearing about it for so many years .... was as nice as I expected it to be but much pricier than I would think it to be for a restaurant located in downtown West Chester . Dilworthtown Inn ...maybe but not downtown West Chester where you can find great food abundant with out costing 50-60 per person . Everything is a la carte ... even the baked potato with your 42.00 steak is ala carte ... so buy the steak .... and the baked potato and the 1 or two sides .... and the salad and you have really spent 60.00 for dinner .
Nice but overpriced ....
Pietros is one of my favorite steak house restaurants. Fire place was going in the back room, was warm and cozy. Food was very good. My husband had the Cajun Delmonico which was delicious. I had the house ribeye. This was ok, i should of gone with the Cowboy ribeye or delmonico. I felt it was not very tender. Overall dining experience was 8 out of 10.
We had a very good and enjoyable meal, but a little too pricey in my view. The emphasis on the higher quality steaks they offer is over played by the staff compared to their daily menu choices. Just doesn't seem to justify a $15-$20 premium per person for their highest quality meats. If you're looking for an upper end steak place, this is for you, but be prepared to dish out $150 / couple with a drink or two plus tip.
The food was great and it was a nice find. The food was pricey (which we knew going in)but it was delicious. It was a bit noisy, but that may have just been the table next to us sharing 4 bottles of wine. It was an overall nice evening, and there didn't seem to be much of a wait, even on a Saturday evening- although we made a reservation anyway, just to be safe. I give a 3 star for service mainly because the waitress we had was being held up by another table of guests who were quite chatty, but I feel as though the conversation could have been ended in a polite manner so she could move on.
Pietro's Prime has "good" steaks but at a high price. The signature Center Cut Ribeye is a very lean cut and a bit dry for those that think of a ribeye steak as juicy and tender, but certainly a low fat cut. The reastaurant has the typical brick building rustic look that you get in most West Chester restaurants. But the real surprise is the bill. All items on the menu are "ala carte" and very pricey. In summary, it is not a good value. IF you really want a good steak and you are eating in West Chester, this is the best steak house in town. But you can get just as good a steak for much less money at Texas Roadhouse, or if you want to go more upscale, at Sullivan's.
I had brought some friends for the first time(for them) and they thought it was excellent and would definitely come back. Everything was delicious and came out the way we ordered it and in a timely fashion. Would definitely reccommend it and go back again and again
I wanted to try a new restaurant and have a very nice anniversary dinner with my wife. I made an online reservation at Pietro's Prime. I saw that the prices were high, so I figured it was a high end restaurant with alot of charm. I requested possible fireside seating.
It was nothing more than a glorified bar with a room off the bar for tables. I think it was a brick floor. For fireside seating we were taken to a table, not in the dining room, but at the end of the bar area that, in fsct had a nice fireplace, but had a big flat screen above it so barside could watch the sports games. Not my idea of a romantic dinner. EVERYTHING WAS A-LA-CARTE, way too expensive for a sports bar. I won't be going back.
Truly, We have always had a good experience at Pietros. Our Server was informative and readily connected with us. I'm not a big Steak eater, so I am always interested in the wonderful sides and seafood options--I had the Mahi which was awesome--and We had the Shrimp Lejon for appetizers, as well as the Oysters. My husband was well pleased with his Generously portioned Pork Chop, and we each had enough of our Mushrooms and Spinach Sides to some home with leftover portions for Saturday Morning Omelets--The drink offerings are many and varied and I always have a hard time choosing, but since I like not- so sweet drinks, I chose the Mojito- which was just right. Overall a great experience, really-- Music A+ :)
Bar scene is hot on the weekends (live music too) and relaxing, kicked back on weeknights. Crowd is on the mature side - not a college hangout. Martini selection is varied and they do a great job on the classics - nice big glasses! Food is nuanced, with some classic standbys for the less adventuresome in your crowd.
