Pietro's Prime Ratings and Reviews
Classic Steak House fare in West Chester. All of our meals were cooked to perfection, the salads were great and the sides (spinach, smashed potatoes and asparagus) were scrumptious. Not an inexpensive restaurant so if you're on a company expense account go for it -- My second time here, and will be coming back for those special occasions.
We were there for a date night and to celebrate a special occasion. As always, the server was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious! We had the cheese plate and bacon & arugula appetizers, sautéed mushrooms and the sea bass and shrimp scampi entrees. Our glasses were never left empty and the food was well-timed. Our server, Gabriel, took great care of us.
We went to Pietro's for the first time on New Year's Eve, stopping to say hi to frinds in the bar while we waited for our table. It was standing room only, and we heard that the band was great.
Our waitress, Jessica, was excellent: energetic, funny, and knowledgeable. Food was very good...steaks are pricy, but that is standard everywhere good steaks are served. Seafood sounded excellent too. I'll try that next time, and come back in warmer months for a Crab Louie salad.
Our first visit was on New Year's Eve. The welcome by reception at the front door was less than friendly. Rather than "Happy New Year," we were looked at with annoyance and finally asked "Can I help you" as though we were interlopers trying to crash the gate rather than well-dressed professionals who'd made our reservation weeks ago. After that odd welcome, which initially had us questioning our choice, the rest of the evening was great. Our waiter, Antoine, was knowledgeable, attentive and hard-working on a very busy evening. The menu was varied, there were many specials, and the food was excellent, prepared exactly as ordered. Everything is ala carte, so the dinner is rather pricey for a small town restaurant--more along the lines of high-end Philadelphia or New York prices--but well worth it to splurge on a special evening without going into the city. The Ladies Room needed servicing but staff was on it once mentioned to them. All-in-all we'd highly recommend this restaurant as a Chester County gem (much, much better than Catherine's in Unionville where we'd gone on Christmas Eve--no comparison really, we won't be returning there!). On our departure we finally got a friendly smile from Reception and a "Happy New Year," so all's well that ends well. Would highly recommend Pietro's Prime. We'll be back!
Second visit to Pietro’s in the last 2 weeks for different occasions- proving the first visit wasn’t a fluke!
This place is nothing short of great. Immediately seated both times, wait staff was terrific, and responsive.
The food spectacular.
I will return again and again and again.
My son and I had an awesome experience at Pietro's Prime, our dinner was excellent, and Larry our bartender was very accommodating to say the least, his mixed drinks were exceptional, plus he's a very cool guy to have conversation with too. We also had the chance to meet John Henson the restaurant manager who was also very accommodating to us as well. The atmosphere at Pietro's Prime was warm and cozy, plus the fireplace was very nice to see lit on a very cold day in late December. We will definitely be returning to Pietro's Prime very soon!
Used to be my go to restaurant for steaks and high-end celebrations. Twice in the past two months the service has been horrific, 20 minutes to get drinks, longer for wine, ridiculous food service (some of which came out cold). While the staff are and ownership are nice it doesn't excuse their complete inability to take care of their clientele. A $1,500 tab and a $450 tab respectively, didn't ask for a break (despite their forgetting it was my sons birthday) and didn't get one, but you can't eat apologies.
We arrived very early for our reservation and we were grateful that the restaurant accommodated us and was able to seat us early, despite being a fairly busy Saturday night. We had a wonderful experience and our steaks were very good. Will come back and would recommend.
While visiting our Granddaughter at WCU, we wanted someplace special to take her to dinner. Pietro's was the greatest find, ever. We arrived earlier than we planned, but were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our waiter Gabriel was extremely knowledgeable about the specials and the wine list. He was also very attentive to our needs and helped make our evening out a memorable one.
As always this place is great! We went during the West Chester Christmas Parade so it was packed, loud and really fun!!! Everyone was happy and full of Christmas spirit. Even though they were packed everyone was calm and friendly. I would recommend Pietro's on any night but that night was extra special
I had put 2 hours of $$ on the parking meter. We ordered drinks. When they arrived, we immediately ordered dinner - no first course, salad, etc - just the main course. Following the main course, we immediately ordered just ice cream for dessert. The service was so slow that I received a $25 parking ticket. And this was on a Thursday at 6:30 PM, with a reservation made well in advance - not the busiest time for dinner nor the busiest day of the week.
When I make a reservation on Open Table I don’t expect to be told my table will be ready in 10 minutes and then have to stand and wait over 20. The food is ok but wildly over-priced. Service is ok but the atmosphere is so frenzied that this is not the place for a relaxing dinner.
