Pietro's Prime Ratings and Reviews
The four of us all had steak. While we had different cuts we each found the steak the be quite tough and chewy. Additionally we agreed the steaks lacked flavor. Incidentally 1 of our 4 asked for medium rare and it arrived rare to raw. The sauces accompanying the steaks were not bad and the sides were good. While it may have been an off night for the restaurant, we will not be back.
Food was good. Waitress service was excellent. Had to wait 45 minutes with reservation when I finally asked about the wait I was met with an attitude by the hostess saying I never checked in when in fact she was the person to check me in when I arrived. She was not apologetic at all and really portrayed an uncaring attitude toward the patrons. This will certainly affect business if this continues
Delicious meal. The bread was warm and fresh (lovely knotted rolls with either butter or a flavored olive oil). The French onion soup is beefy and flavorful. Had the veal osso bucco over mushroom risotto which was outstanding. Brussel sprouts sauteed with bacon and with a maple glaze were delicious. Both were specials for the night. My husband had the steak salad which was also delicious. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert. Very much enjoyed the live music as well. I believe KB Band was playing. A lively evening out!
Very nice, lively bar. It looked like the bar menu was pretty solid, but we did not order from that.
The food in the restaurant was not good. We ordered two appetizers, crab cake and buffalo oysters. Both were "ok", but definitely not at the level expected for the cost. The steak was $45 and was very disappointing - it was thin, full of hard tissues, and did not have a good flavor. The cut of meat was just not good - very disappointing for the cost. The sides were also not good - the creamed corn is basically a cheese sauce with corn in it, and the corn was under cooked... not good. We will not be returning.
A great time with two friends. Our server, Lilly, was terrific--very helpful with recommendations. I've dined here several times; since it was a quiet Sunday evening, the noise level was fine. During other visits, however, it was challenging to hear others at the table. I'm hoping that issue has been resolved because it's gratifying to have a family owned fine dining restaurant that is doing well in the borough.
We sat in the tables at the end of the bar. It has exposed brick walls and a tv over the fireplace. We enjoyed that since we wanted to watch college football.
Food was excellent. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were very good as well.
Great place for a date night!
The food was delicious which is what we went for. However the waitstaff was very poor. We did not receive bread plates. While I was still eating the waitress came and asked if we would like the remaining food boxed, which we did, she proceeded to take the food away even though I said I would like to finish eating. Everybody else in the restaurant was still eating and there was no-one waiting for a table. After she walked away from the table she asked if we wanted desert as an afterthought.
The food and service is always excellent, but we were in the back room with overhead ventilation. The HVAC system would turn on and off and make it hard to hear when mixed with everyone else's conversations. The interior noise level is very high and with no partitions between tables, the sound travels.
We enjoyed all of our food while the service was top notch. For some reason, the HVAC in the back room (never sat there) was very loud.
Waiter was great and friendly, the drinks were top notch and all the food was a 10. The restaurant is extremely noisy and hard to hear across the table.they were very busy and we waited about an hour for our entrees, but this gave us time to chat. Overall would definitely go back
My only recommendation. Our server was focused on being fast which is great but it made me feel rushed to order. And he also dropped or knocked over several things (my table and others near us) trying to be fast. I want a more deliberate air from a server than that.
Filet was excellent. Michael, our server was a nice guy, really good service. Sat. night seemed loud to me there but there's a great vibe there so the vibe wins out for sure. My wife and I enjoyed it immensely. Live music at night added to the positive experience and atmosphere. Great night, great food and we will definitely go there again. Highly recommend.
We picked Pietros to celebrate our Anniversary this year. The filet was delicious (as the food always is) and we really had a special evening. Our server, Kim, was fantastic - friendly, helpful, engaging and very attentive. Thank you Kim and thank you Pietros. We look forward to visiting for another special occasion!
Was very disappointed. The service was very slow even though the restaurant was not crowded. I expected to pay for everything al a carte, but the portions were very small given the price. Most upsetting was that 2 of the three entrees came out lukewarm at best. When I finally got the waitress, she immediately offered to take them back to be reheated. Considering that they were fish entrees with an average price of $35 (remember NOTHING is included with the entree) reheating was not appropriate. Next the manager comes over and says that since I would be getting a complimentary dessert for my birthday, he really couldn't do any adjustment due to the issues. Considering that the bill for the three of us with only one cocktail was $200 I think there was some wiggle room. Don't plan to ever return. Think twice before going here.
Great way to spend a Saturday Night in West Chester!
Started with a couple of really nice Martinis- ICY cold with the little ice shavings floating on top, just like God intended. We had the Colossal Crab Cocktail and the Shrimp Cocktail- both delicious and well portioned. We split a nice BLT Wedge and the nightly special- a dry aged 16OZ Strip, done perfectly. Afterwards we joined the friendly crowd at the bar and had a drink while watching a pretty good cover band and then Ubered home.
We'll be back!
