Pietro's Italian Restaurant & Party House
We have been regular, satisfied customers. This visit was not good, however. My food was fine, but my wife had two problems. Her salmon was still raw in the middle. And when the replacement arrived, the top came off the salt grinder and ruined her plate. The salmon replacement was satisfactory. But the waitress only apologized for the faulty salt grinder and did nothing to compensate for it. She should have notified a superior and we should have been offered some sort of discount or replacement or a free dessert. Nothing. Not a good experience on Valentine's Day. It will be awhile before we return.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. the staff was all super exited and happy, waitress was the best I've ever had.
Always love going here, awesome food, staff and atmosphere
Food has been better here. Margherita pizza had a bit too much balsamic vinaigrette. Mushroom caps were a bit bland but Manicotti was delicious! But we’ve always enjoyed this Grand Rapids mainstay and will go back!
We made our reservation in the morning, for a 5:45 pm dinner, with a request for a booth. Right at 5:45, we were seated at a table just outside the kitchen traffic area, and asked the host if we could be seated at a booth as requested. There were 6 open booths within view of our table (all within a few feet on each side of us). She said not unless we wanted to wait awhile, and since we had a Broadway show to attend, we could not seat later due to the time factor to get downtown. We pointed out there were several booths open, but she said "sorry, they are for others". During the next 20 minutes or so, we watched people coming in after us being seated in the booths. Our server even asked if we could move to a booth, and was told no as well.
We were a bit surprised by this, and had it not been for the waitress we had, we would probably have never come back. Kristin was so nice, and such a good server, that she "saved the night" so to speak . She went above and beyond and the food was spectacular as well.
Your company is lucky to have servers like Kristen. She is quite an asset!
The best Italian in Grand Rapids!
Service was not good. Waitress was rude and seemed to be upset that she had to wait on us. Food was ok.
Server really messed up the meal and they compt only three of the four desserts but we had to run to a show and just dealt with. Not too happy
My associate and I were hosting 4 customers for a casual business dinner. Everything from food to atmosphere was outstanding. Salad ingredients were fresh and the dressings were tasty, but not heavy. Several of us had the Chicken Parm. All agreed the portions were just right and the flavor and texture was spot on. We started with the house Cab which everyone liked then moved to the Rodney Strong Reserve Cab out of Sonoma. It was fabulous!
After dinner we had a great conversation with Tim, the owner. It is so refreshing to dine at a family owned restaurant where the owners are available and engaging. Great job Pietro's!
Foods always good and so was the service. It was a week night but for some reason it was crowded with lots of family tables with young children. The arrangement which is booths on the sides and large tables between means your always next to a noisy table under those circumstances. Best to choose a less busy night.
Once seated had quite a long wait for waiter service. However we did appreciate a fellow waitress who stopped and inquired and got us a drink order going. Waiters attitude was poor and unfriendly.
Food was terrible, service was very good, was not busy, I hate spending money on bad food.
Great food as always. Service was exceptional. Plan to go again in the near future.
Food was so-so. Had to ask for extra everything...even Parmigiana cheese.
Food was great, service was great. Owner came out to make sure that we were completely satisfied!
My family and I drive from an hour away to go to pietro’s. It’s the best Italian food around.
My husband and I also celebrate every anniversary there. We have never had a bad meal or a bad server. I recommend this restaurant and give it a five star rating.
Great service and wonderful pizza. We were in town after moving away 18 years ago. Just as god today!
Best Italian restaurant in Grand Rapids!
The food is always excellent and service usually very good. Dining area is typically quiet. Prices are reasonable.
We were on vacation. This restaurant showed up on the Priceline app as a restaurant near by our hotel. The food was awesome! The service was great. We loved everything about it
Great food at reasonable prices and delicious. Service was awesome as well.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Seating suitable for nice conversation. Restaurant has character.
Pietros has been feeding me great Italian food for many years. My wife experienced it for the first time. We'll be back again.
We received our usual courteous service coupled with the anticipated excellent food and service.
Was seated right on time. Waitress was very personable and gave us excellent service. Food was delicious as always!
Not the best experience. The food took a LONG time to arrive. One of the meals was wrong so a guest had to wait for the correct dish to arrive. To make it worse, no bread was available to complement the meals.
thankyou for accommodating our group, we had a great time!
The food was great and so was the service! We would definitely eat here again.
Food was great and Iam not a fan of Italian food ,had the family all attend and the food kept coming we all had to unbuckel the belts for the ride home
I love going to Pietro's for dinner. We only go on special occasions.
We had an excellent experience. Pietro's graciously accommodated our last minute changes related to size of our party and dining time. The food was excellent, and Courtney provided outstanding service!
We highly recommend Pietro's!!
