I come here a lot - great food, great atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Thank you!
Great food and an interesting menu. Highly recommended.
Lovely meal, service took a while for them to take our order for a drink before taking our food order.
What a gem:)
Very lovely place, excellent food and fantastic atmosphere. Very romantic. We had steak tartare (that’s what we came for). Always reserve a table especially for Friday / Saturday dinner. Ask for a table on your left as you walk into the restaurant (tables on the right are by the aisle).
A bill came slightly higher than we expected, but still manageable given London “realities”. For two mains (steak tartare), bottle of wine, two puddings and salad side we paid ~£100.
Lovely long lunch here with old friends. The food was perfectly cooked and the staff were warm and friendly and didnt hustle us out.
Love this place. Discreet, good food and great wine.
Great food and service. Live piano playing added to the ambience!
Amazing food, with amazing prices especially right in the centre of London. Efficient service. Had a chance to meet the owner. Friendly chap. I thoroughly recommend the place for a good lunch.
I’ve been many times never fails to impress. The staff are so friendly. Customers are fun too. You feel like you’re in Paris without the attitude. The pianist was fantastic and created the best of atmospheres on a dark grey Tuesday evening. Steak tartar a triumph. Good selection of wines which don’t break the bank. Go and enjoy the vibe.
Went for a pre theatre dinner and was very impressed with the quality of the food and the choice on the set menu.
Nothing new to say following my many previous reviews, except that this visit was the quietest one I have ever had! Luckily, this meant my friend and I were able to have a good long chat!
No-one hurried us or tried to shoo us out of the door; the staff here are always exemplary. Food was delicious, too!
Hope to go back soon.
Food was excellent but just after we started our meal a pianist arrived and started playing the piano VERY loudly - in fact so loudly we could not hear each other speak. He continued without interruption for almost two hours by which time we had finished our meal. We could not wait to leave and will never go there again. Fine if you want to shout at each other but for a civilised meal and good conversation not a good place.
Went with a friend we both had the set menu which had a very good choice and was excellent. For starters we had Smoked Chicken Salad and Garlic Mussels and mains we both had Cassoulet all very well prepared. Good wine selection. Friendly staff and reasonably priced.
Everything good - location, food, drinks, prices and service. Will definitely visit again when next in London
One of my favourite restaurants in London. I actually ate here twice this trip. Always a great selection of items to choose from, and the price is great! The duck confit is one of my favorite dishes, and they always prepare it in a tasty manner!
An atmospheric and lively French Bistro with very good food at reasonable prices. I'm a regular.
Amiable staff. Set menu pre-theatre. The falafal was very crunchy - I'd say over cooked. Had flavour but not rather usual texture. Veggie main Tartiflette aux Champignons’ Gratin of creamy potatoes etc was very disappointing. liquid 'sauce'. few mushrooms, with a very strong cheese flavour and did not see and creamy potatoes - more sliced slightly hard slices. Not as I remember in the old days. Very popular so perhaps these days just not a place if not a meat eater.
Tables are very close together. My Falafels we’re burnt and dry. My Main dish, chicken roulade, had three small slithers of potatoes which were also burnt, so very disappointing. The chicken was nice, but that was all. My partner enjoyed the mussels for starter, then Boeuf bourguignon which was just ok. Tarte tarin and Crème Brûlée we’re both good.
Wonderful atmosphere - lively and cosy - with a really great, good value pre-theatre set menu.
Good sized portions and quality ingredients. Live music from a pianist which is great but a bit too loud at tines. Great atmosphere overall.
We had a delicious dinner, great value for money and excellent pianist
Code as usual was wonderful. This time was very noisy
Amazing food , just gets better and better , lovely Hake en papilotte
Highly recommended! Good foods and nice piano playing whilst enjoying the dinner!
We have been to Pierre Victoire every time we visit London over the last two or three years and are never disappointed. The food and service have always been good, offering good value for money. Our experience was enhanced this time as there was a pianist playing. No doubt we will visit again when we next return to London!
Really enjoyable meal. The food and wine were very tasty, and reasonably priced. The service was great and while I'm not sure if there is live music every night, on Saturday the pianist was fantastic and really set a positive mood for dinner.
The guy who was working behind the bar didn't really 'welcome' us in, but the guy who took over from him was much more attentive and pleasant. The waitresses were all very pleasant. The food was good but not piping hot. I'm sure I saw that the desserts were priced at £3 each, but we were charged £5.50 each.
Overall we enjoyed our meal on a wet Saturday Night.
Food was owkey, be mindful or what to pick, I had a ragout, with no sauce.. bit odd. We were placed next to the door, which isn't an issue, but as we were in the corner is took forever to get hold off a remember to place our order. Eventually also googled the dessert menu as it took so long to arrive after our mains were taken away. Pity, I've been there before and was much better that time. Would just recommend not sitting next to the door as you'll be ignored!
Looking for a French bistro in London and came across this gem. The location, food & service are all top class and I love that it has a genuine French bistro feel.
The food was interesting and tasty. However, every table is quite crammed into a small space resulting you not being able to hear anything because of the noise from other tables. Our party of 5 were squashed into a table for 4. It was a shame. I’m sure on a less busy evening we probably would have come away with a more positive experience.
We had a pre-theatre dinner at Pierre Victoire on the recommendation of a colleague and we were not disappointed. The food was very good and the service reasonable. We would definitely go again.
Lovely atmosphere with a piano player entertaining diners. Great service, someone there when you wanted them, but not rushed. And very tasty food for good value!
Good quality food at a reasonable price. Attentive service and always a nice ambience. A real gem of a place.
There's always going to be one meal where a reliable standby gets crossed off your list.
I've liked this chain since the 1990s, when it went through a lot of ups and downs.
A weekday lunchtime, and the place was crowded; the set lunch has always been good value.
I ordered, and I waited. And waited. A halloumi salad did arrive, after two reminders. The 'baked' beetroot might have been baked before it was put in a jar, but it had certainly come via the supermarket.
A omelette - with feta cheese and herbs - sounded lovely. It was full of oil, the herbs were either not fresh or had been prepped and chopped many, many hours before - and the cheese? I did find one piece, probably 1x2cms.
If you cut corners, especially on ingredients, the customers will notice.
And a 'French' bistro, where a chef can't make a good omelette?
Always having a great experience at Peirre Victorie!
Excellent food, brilliant set menu with lots of options to choose from for both meat eaters and vegetarian/vegan. Fantastic service! Highly recommend!
Good food and amazing choice and value when having the set menu.
We had an amazing dining experience. The food is great and ambiance is lovely. Good value for money too. We will definitely be back.
Have lunched here many times. Batu is the most charming host at this popular Soho eatery. Last friday for the first time, went for dinner and what an experience it turned out to be. This place buzzes at night filled with happy animated folk of all ages soaking up the atmosphere and delicious food, which is served remarkably quickly for such a busy restaurant. The staff work fast and hard whilst maintaining a friendly welcoming persona which makes such a difference for any occasion. Musical entertainment was provided by a very talented pianist who's repertoire stretched from Irish jigs to Rule Britannia (which the whole room sang) with large helpings of jazz, classical, swing, pop and rock along the way. Something to satisfy all tastes musical. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all.
One last note: Ask Batu to make up some cocktails to accompany the coffees. You'll go home smiling.
Amazing French bistro, cannot fault anything
about this establishment, never fails to give a fantastic dining experience!
