Pieros Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Had Valentines Day dinner here and it was awesome! Great environment (we were upstairs) and had a nice and relaxing dinner while listening to some nice background music. Also were given complimentary flowers and chocolate covered strawberries at the end of the date. 10/10!
They had sent an email highlighting their special Valentine’s Day dinner. Chocolate covered strawberries, roses etc. We wound up sitting in a brightly lit banquet room and there was absolutely no events or indication that it was even Valentine’s Day. Very disappointed!
Very nice dining experience. The food was delicious- I had the pork chop which was outstanding, my husband had the veal Milanese and my daughter had the filet mignon - all very good. Our server Mary was very good. My only criticism is that it’s a bit pricey and it’s not a BYOB. Otherwise, would definitely recommend!
My wife and I used to have dinner at Pieros once a month for a few years when first married.
Went back with our 16/14/10 year old kids Saturday night.
Meals and appetizers want from adequate to very good. Traditional Chicken Parmigiana was very good. Gnocchi and the linguini with red clam sauce were just ok.
Calamari was just as I remembered it from many years ago. Light and tender.
Deserts ( Italian Cheesecake) was interesting with espresso and cinnamon flavor. Creme Brûlée was Fair. The dipped ice cream dessert was really tasty.
Our server was pretty good. The time between courses was a bit lengthy. 7 pm dinner was a little more than two hours.
The entertainment was a trio, two guitarists and a gal singer. We were seated pretty much right next to them. They were a bit loud and conversation over a round table of five was somewhat strained.
I was pleased to be back. My wife was less enthusiastic about our dinner.
Three ish stars.
We have lived in the area for over 20 years. Many times we have driven past Piero's and said that we should try it. Well that time finally arrived this past weekend.
We arrived for your reservation and found that the restaurant was surprisingly empty for a Sunday evening. We started with two appetizers; Calabrese & Goat Cheese Arancini. Both were large enough to share between the four of us. The Calabrese was similar to a small antipasto and the arancini were exactly what we expected. For our entrees we ordered; Lasagna, Veal Saltimbocca, Veal Milanese, and Pan Roasted Chicken. I also had a very nicely done Caesar salad with anchovies and a side of pappardelle with bolognese. All of our meals were perfectly spiced and excellently prepared. The desserts were a bit of a disappointment. The portions were large but the desserts tasted manufactured not created on site. My wife and I shared the cheesecake cone, our daughter had the Italian Cheesecake, and her friend had Tiramisu. We would not recommend the desserts.
But all in all, we had a very nice evening and are looking forward to dining at Piero's again in the near future.
Food is always excellent here.. Service on NYE was a bit touch and go but they were short staffed.. normally when you are downstairs service is first rate.. we were placed upstairs and unfortunately they were short staffed.. that said, our waiter was a great guy, and we felt bad, as it was his 2nd day on the job.. also the chef upstairs made an extra effort to help out, and even went back to the kitchen to make my little one his favorite lava cake which they thought they were out of.. all in all we will keep coming back, as their food is amazing.
We haven’t been there for a Couple of years due to lack of gluten free options (my wife and I are allergic). I called in advance and spoke with Mike the chef and he told me about what options they had available. We made reservations for New Year’s Eve and the food was excellent. The server was patient with us and very helpful. They were accommodating with adapting menu items to make sure they were made gluten free. We had a great time and we will definitely return soon!
We went for an early New Year's Eve dinner. I tried to get 6 p.m. reservations but there were only slots for 5:45 p.m. When confirming the reservation we were asked if both in our party could climb the stairs - to which we answered yes. Once there, I wish we hadn't because the upstairs room was lacking atmosphere for a dinner restaurant (fine for a private party). The food was excellent and plentiful. The service was very good at first, but by the time we were finishing, the room had filled up completely and our waiter was over-worked. It was hard to get his attention by that time and we ended up having to cancel our dessert order because it was taking too long and we had to be somewhere else. I would definitely try this restaurant again, but not for a holiday dinner.
We were at Piero's for Christmas Eve dinner. They had a regular menu in addition to specials. We ordered the 7 Fishes (cod, shrimp, calamari, clams, mussels, lobster and octopus). It was served in a light red sauce over pasta and was wonderful. Reasonably priced too.
Our reservation was for 5pm. By the time we left it was close to 7pm and the place was full!
I highly recommend this restaurant, everyone in our party said they couldn't wait to return! The service was friendly and knowledgeable, helping with suggestions. We had a fun time and we were probably the nosiest table in the restaurant just because we were having such a good time. The appetizers came quick, were the right temperature and did not disappoint. All the entrees were consumed with smiles all around. I ordered the filet mignon medium and it was a perfect medium and the cut was NOT butterflied and I appreciated that. Go and see for yourself, you can thank me later. P.S. some other reviewer said the Bolognese was salty? Not the night we were there,it was delicious.
Ask d for Olive oil to dip the bread. Don’t know what we were given, it was not olive oil and brought it in a soup bowl. Den it back and the waitress apologized said the other server gave us the wrong thing. Replaced it with Olive Oil. Two people ordered pappadelle with meat sauce and one ordered Veal Parmigiana ALL WERE TOO SALTY!!! 4 ordered cappuccino, not very good, served without teaspoons and no sugar on the table. Also, I was a waitress in my day and trained the staff for the Hilton Corporation. When a group of people order drinks let’s say 6 drinks and ice on the side. We would place all 6 drinks on a TRAY with the glass of ice and cocktail napkins to be placed under each drink . Why do your servers bring one or two drinks first.? Then two more, then go back again and bring two more and go back EVEN again to get the ice! She could have made ONE TRIP and everyone gets their drinks together. A TRAY is the answer AND cocktail napkins should always be placed under ANY DRINK to avoid condensation or anything dripping on the customer. It’s one thing if it’s a Fast Food Restaurant but fine dining should served like Fine Dining. You are not the only restaurant who has given up what creates fine dining. Many have and it’s a shame. But the ONE DRINK CARRIED OVER AT A TIME IS SIMPLY A WASTE OF TIME AND FOOTSTEPS.
In the business my entire life from server to bartender, to trainer to owning my own restaurant and Catering Hall.
This is a very nice pace to eat for Italian food. The only issue we had with our last visit was a bit of on odor probably from the carpet cleaning. They had the door open to clear it but it still was present where we were first seated. Other than that, the food was very tasty and the service was very good. I would recommend it.
We had dinner there and it was very good. The food was quite tasty, the service was good and the prices was fair for this type of restaurant. The only negative thing I could say is that we were there for a quiet dinner but shortly after arriving a large group of people were seated right next to us and they were a bit noisy. The patrons were way too closely seated by us even though they could have easily been seated elsewhere since the restaurant was basically empty at the time.
everything was great but being in the food biz sitting , having dinner you cant look at cars in the parking lot maybe you should have those tinted windows with a italian setting so you dont see the car like Mc Dollands but everything was great i will be back
Their menu that was shown on open table got my interest with a veal porterhouse and broccoli rabe dish. I saw a lot of entrees that I knew my wife would love as well, so we booked it. When we are presented the menu as we sit down, the entire menu was exactly the one I saw thru OT, minus the veal porterhouse. Don't get me wrong I eat everything, but when I have my mind set on something, I want that. I wound up settling for something that was still really good, but it wasn't the same. I wound up getting the stuffed pork chop. Service was excellent as well.
