Great food and service, as always. But I could have done without sitting 6 feet from Piano Man. Too loud; couldn’t even hear my husband speaking. Pretty sure we were sat in the very back corner because we look young. Stop profiling.
We went for the restaurant week and were disappointed with the menu choices. I’ve had dishes from the regular menu and loved it but was unimpressed when bringing my husband for his first time. I hope to bring him back but will need to convince him.
Fantastic in every way! The view is fabulous, the food was great, and the service was truly outstanding. My favorite restaurant in the Cleveland area by far / maybe my favorite restaurant anywhere.
This is our second time at Pier W and it was spectacular both times. The food, atmosphere and view cannot be beat. Shannon was our server and she was amazing. She was attentive and delightful. We will be back next trip to Cleveland.
Hadn't been to Pier W for ages. It has changed but for the good.
The food was delicious. Presentations were lovely. The lobster
bisque was disappointing except for the presentation.
Loved the tempura shrimp appetizer. My husband's filet mignon was delicious.
The white shrimp with crab stuffing was a beautiful presentation but not very flavorful.
The short ribs were somewhat tough. Service was wonderful. We had a
window seat which was wonderful. The check-in was chaotic borderline rude. Almost
left but glad we stayed. Many thanks for the pretty birthday cupcake.
This was a birthday dinner for my wife. We had happy hour and the food was well presented and had a great taste. Drinks were reasonable also. Dinner was at the window and we had great surf and turf along with a $150 bottle of great wine.
Erin was very nice and friendly. Get there before 5 pm for a window table-first come, first serve.
Beautiful setting overlooking the lake with great views of downtown. Romantic ambiance. Server was very knowlegable, professional and had a good sense of humor. Food was good, not great. Had crab stuffed shrimp which was fine but nothing special in terms of flavor. Bok choy is served as your vegetable it was watery and limp. Dessert was disappointing too. Music was some sort of techno vibe, the setting seems more suited to jazz standards, Sinatra etc. They have a great Happy Hour which I will go to again, but I won't come back for dinner.
We dined here during the Cleveland Independents Restaurant week on a Sunday evening. The place was hopping when we arrived for our 6PM reservation. There were 3 women manning the hostess station and they made very little effort to be welcoming. No smiles or eye contact. We were told there would be a wait and to stand off to the side. We stood and waited while others were seated. The ladies at the front ignored us until after 15 minutes we finally asked for a manager. The manager didn't apologize, but explained that we had a beautiful table that would be ready soon. We were seated within the next 4 minutes at the best table in the place - center window overlooking a gorgeous lake view. If only they would have told us we had this table while waiting, we might have felt more welcome. This cold welcome is something that should be considered a problem.
From there, the night was delightful, the service excellent and the food was delicious. I chose the prix fix with beet salad, red snapper and the key lime tart. My husband let me try some of the lobster pasta and it too was very tasty.
We loved that we booked this reservations weeks before we dined and that they honored our request for a table overlooking the water. We just hope that next time the staff at the entrance would be welcoming in a way we expect for a fine dining establishment.
Had dinner after the show at the Playhouse during Restaurant Week. The snapper and duck confit were excellent as were our appitizers' of salmon flatbread and a goat cheese souffle. We had the wine pairing with our courses which was a excellent deal. we finished off with dessert of creme bruelle for me and a key lime cheesecake for my husband.
My husband & I went for brunch, as we had received a gift certificate for Christmas! Everything was EXCELLENT, would highly recommend it to anyone. We sat by the window & enjoyed the view, live piano & great service!
We enjoyed our date night at Pier W. The food was delicious. We could not speak while eating the Raspberry Baked Alaska. It was that good! We will be back.
As always, excellent service and excellent food! We are never disappointed!
The food was great. The view was great. We would come back again.
Celebrating a birthday. Food was fantastic, as usual....service was ok....
Went to Pier W for the Restaurant Week special meal. Everything was cooked to perfection. Erin was our server, and she was great. We had never been here before and thought this would be a good way to sample the restaurant. We will definitely be back!
The food was good and the server was very attentive. This was our second time at Pier W and I would definitely go back.
You do need to get reservations in early, but definitely worth the wait. Incredible view, cocktails and food were exceptional, great service. Will definitely be coming back.
It is the first time that we have dined there and will NOT be the last! The staff, ambiance and food was amazing. Looking around the restaurant, I noticed every customer equally enjoying themselves too.
Amaaaazing food! I have never had a disappointing meal here! Seafood is out of this world. Portion sizes are actually appropriate.
A Cleveland landmark with great views of the lake and city skyline. Upscale dining nicely suited to couples or those celebrating a special event. Delicious food, professional service, and unique over the water restaurant design. I would have liked quicker food delivery, having said that, most people come to this type of restaurant to dine and socialize at an enjoyably casual pace...so my criticism will be viewed as a positive by most guests.
Went before the opening of the musical Rent at the Playhouse, great dinner and it was restaurant week!
Great service, Atmosphere and wonderful View when seated near the widow area facing the lake with Downtown Cleveland in the background.
We dined in for my boyfriend's 25th birthday. We both work in restaurants and couldn't explain how amazing everything was. The wine was perfect and it was probably the best dining experience I have ever had. Our server, Helen, gave us plenty of suggestions and provided flawless service. We will most definitely be back!
Best food, service and atmosphere Iv had! Highly recommend!
Everything was perfect!!! Will definitely be back. You know a place is good when EVERYTHING on the menu sounds phenomenal.
Have always wanted to try Pier W for brunch and was absolutely mortified about how bad it was. I don’t eat seafood, but my other half does. So I was looking forward to either French toast or a crispy waffle. Instead, I got soggy waffles and chewy, cold French toast. Bacon was also soggy and the scrambled eggs were cold! When my server asked how it was, I told her “it was cold and not very good”. She responded by “would you like something else”. So I ordered an omelette. It was hot (thank god), but just ok. Never followed back up, no Manager around, and was handed a $100 bill for two people. REALLY??? At this price point, I expect hot, delicious food. VERY UPSETTING! Will never return. Anyone wanting a great brunch, stick with FIRE in Shaker Heights! Much better service, and MUCH better food! Ps- I called to give management a chance to fix this. Spoke to a Mary-Beth (I think) and she said she would call me back and never did. Pathetic!
Great out over the lake location, whether for Sunday brunch (mostly buffet) or at night with a wonderful, romantic view of the Cleveland skyline. Dinner menu includes a wide and upscale selection. We had a long, languorous Sunday brunch and though they had a full house, we were not at all rushed.
Their brunch was great. Especially the raw bar. If you are a raw oyster lover, this is the place that you should go. The oysters was fresh and creamy, yummy !! Their hot entress was just ok but overall was great!! Highly recommended for birthday and anniversary celebration.
We picked Pier W for a birthday brunch. The entrance is down stairs or an elevator but do take the elevator. The scenery going down sets the tone. On a Sunday, for brunch it will be rather crowded. People look happy and obviously enjoying their day. You pass by many of the buffet items for the brunch. There are many to choose from and you will find yourself wanting to try everything. Very creative. And, most of all, delicious! The service is very good, on time and never ignores you. We sat in a booth which I would never do again. Very tight and small with other customers bumping you as they pass. But, most other seating arrangements were at tables. Also, if you have any disability, let them know before-hand, at least at brunch. It's a long and windy road if you have difficulties. But, what a view of the lake, what food. What a fun time.. We will be going back again and again.
Great view and exquisite ambiance. Just very classy
The service, the ambiance, the food were all outstanding!
This is my favorite place. The view is amazing. All the food tasted wonderful. The service was great!
Great venue for sure. My filet was ordered medium-rare but came out a solid medium or better. I didn't send back, and was still good, but would have preferred M-R. Atmosphere was awesome though. Great date night spot.
As always, top notch dining. Best in Cleveland
The food was outstanding. The view is absolutely breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this restaurant
We were celebrating a friends birthday. Our waitress was great. Our hostess was friendly!
Food was delicious! We are going back to enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Erie!
Outstanding in every way, including the presentation of each dish. Great food, tremendous view, first class service. A very unique restaurant. Thank you.
