Amazing views from any spot in restaurant. Reasonably priced especially for being directly on the water. Amazing!!!!
The staff was very accommodating for our last minute 14 person reservation!
My husband and I were in San Diego to escape Pittsburgh's winter. This restaurant was recommended by the Hop on Hop off bus driver. It was a great recommendation. I would definitely go back.
Great location and great food and service
We enjoyed a very pleasant lunch at the Pier Cafe. the service and food were outstanding. Had great table overlooking the bay. Very enjoyable. Been there before and will go there again!
Cozy spot for appetizers and to watch the Sunset. Food was tasty, but not anything memorable. Limited Parking near SeaPort Village shops and restaurants.
We had a lovely lunch here, taking a visiting relative here after picking him up from the airport. Lucky enough to see seals swimming and catching fish in the water next to us! Our food was also excellent and we just really enjoyed our meal here.
the restaurant has nice waterfront view!!
Good service good food
We went on new year's eve at 6pm. Location and view were great. Tranquil and cozy, except for a large group of people that were having a meal. They were very loud. Have been here many times without this problem. My Grilled Fish tacos were delicious! My husband ordered seafood enchiladas, they were ok but pleeeaaase do something about the refried beans. They tasted like beans from a can and were warm at best. Not hot like they should be. Messed up the meal. Need better taste or offer whole black beans. They will look, taste, and make the dish look more expensive.
Delicious food!! Fantastic server (Ricardo)!! So happy we decided to eat here after a long day of touring!!
Food was terrible, service was good, ambiance was good. Wouldn’t go back due to the horrible food.
Awesome spot right on the water with great seafood options at a decent price. Lunch pricing is best and menu is similar if not same. Try the Mahi Mahi panini! Out of this world.
Nice view. Good service. Food OK. good for kids. Casual, loud
Needs a good cleaning. Location is okay, on the water, not the best views, but okay. Interior is a bit "tired". Food was average. Not so special you would want to return. Wait staff was attentive, personable, and didn't have to be asked to provide service. She was the highpoint of the experience.
Staff was great. It was Halloween and all staff were in great costumes. Food was excellent. Interior area was a bit dated. I would definitely return.
Very accommodating for a special diet requirement. Service was great.
Nice experience overall. Can't beat being on the water downtown. Bali Hai is another one to check out if you are looking for a nice waterfront experience. We were seated on the northern side and had a view of the dock close by. If you can get a table on the Coronado bridge side and towards the end of the restaurant you will have primo seating (on cooler days). It was a scorcher when we went so the north side was thankfully a bit cooler.
I had the 3 fish plate which looked really healthy so I wasn't sure if I was going to like it when it arrived--all my colleagues had fish tacos and other lip smackers. The 3 fish plate was delicious as was the rice and steamed vegetables. Staff very friendly and accommodating albeit a little longer than usual to get food ordered.
Pretty good experience. Food was good, service was prompt, noise wasn't too bad. Very pleased for a good night on the water!
Group of 9, excellent service, friendly, great views of the harbor. Pricing in line with the tourist area. Food was very good.
Strange food. Not trying as a restaurant. Trading off the location.
Our guests had a wonderful experience being close to the water. Food was great. Service was slow arriving at crowded, lunch time. Glad we made a reservation.
The view is very nice and they will allow dogs in the patio area. The staff was very nice. Unfortunately, the food was just so so. I had the ceviche and quacamole. The quacamole was bland without any seasoning. The ceviche was alright, but tasted bland as well. The fish tacos were good.
We came here for my parent's 40th wedding anniversary. The decor was nothing special, the noise level was loud, bad acoustics, especially with a large ethnic family who just let their children yell and no restaurant manager came to tell them to be quiet. The food, for me, was just average for the cost. Most likely will not return. Only special thing was that it was on the water.
I understand the need to be family friendly, but there were kids running around and screaming...it effected my dinner experience.
We had been wanting that "wow" factor in a meal and we found it at Pier Café. Sometimes a full 5-star review might be deemed an exaggeration, but in this case each rating is exactly on point.
Variety of tasty items. Great employees & a nice setting.
Great place. Good food. They were ready for us. The table we got had a great view.
Food was great, service very good, ambiance excellent.
Came home for a long weekend and wanted to show a friend some of the restaurants San Diego had to offer. The location is is right on the water and centrally located to anything downtown. So it was a nice choice. The food wasn't as good as I remembered growing up, but worth the experience.
Great place on the water. Not fancy, but food was great! Probably better for a warmer day, but space heaters made it enjoyable.
