Pier 73 - Pacific Gateway Hotel at the Vancouver Airport Ratings and Reviews
Love going to Pier 73 in the Pacific Gateway Hotel in Richmond. I go with my girlfriends, I go with my husband, and we go with couples. Everytime we go, the food has been outstanding. They have just completed one of the biggest outdoor patios that I’ve ever seen, could possibly be the biggest one in Vancouver! Lookout Summer of 2018! The food is fantastic and quality is superb. The chef is amazing. The staff is always friendly and have been there forever. Love the gluten free calimari. It is a more casual dining atmosphere with a water view and fabulous tasting food.
We chose Pier 73 because of its location near the airport (we were meeting a friend from Toronto who had a flight early the next morning). It has a pretty good menu, although somewhat over-priced for the quality of the higher end dishes. It is a very large room and is probably best in the summer when you can enjoy the patio and the water views. Service was good, if a bit quirky. Good selection of craft beers and a reasonable wine list.
Smiling & helpful service; great options in children's menu; very tasty food; great timing for delivering our food and the bill - didn't ask or wait for anything.
Would definitely go back with our family; will suggest going there with friends and other family too!
I dine at Pier 73 whenever I stay at the Pacific Gateway Hotel. The restaurant is welcoming and the food is very good. The menu makes the most of west coast seafood, meat, and produce; dishes are prepared well and presented beautifully; and the service is excellent. Our server, Yvonne, always remembers me even though I may only go to the restaurant a couple of times a year and offers excellent suggestions for food and wine.
Loved the Night View. Great location. Can't wait to try the new renovated patio when it gets warmer. The Soup was filling. Entree was tasty & new. Never tried it before. Reminded me of the Korean Chewy Rice Noodles. Dessert was just right. Not too sweet. Dine Out Vancouver $30 per person.
Thank you & have a great day. Huggies.
The menu was SLOW ROASTED LAMB SHOULDER
Ricotta gnocchi | sundried tomatoes | kale pesto | buttered peas | parmesan foam | fried cauliflower. There were about 5 shreds of lamb meat on a lot of ricotta gnocchi, and it was quite cold when served. Very disappointed with food. Portion was awfully small. Waitress service was excellent. Location was good, nice view and easy parking.
My husband and I love coming here for their good food, great service, and amazing views. I would recommend their fish tacos which is my favourite item on their menu. They also have a nice craft beer selection that pairs quite well with their menu. We've recommended this place to our friends and work colleagues who have also been pleased with their impressive service!
Have been there for lunch many times, so tried it for dinner. The menu had good choices, from curry to fish, with excellent soups. The service was very good from Joanne( sp ) who recommend some great dinner choices and beverages. The view is always changing on the river, so this adds to the decor.
Will go again for dinner as well as my lunches
Four of us dined at Pier 73 for the second time. The service was excellent as experienced the last time, and the view is great in the summer (daylight) and overlooks the Fraser River. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the Warm seafood Salad was a standout. We would definitely come back.
This is a neighborhood gem. On the river on stilts with lovely views. The menus is a new one to me and was lovely. Lots of choices for all styles. the server a lady (cant remember her name) was very attentive and knowledgeable. So we had a lovely time.
Shal go back again.
The ambiance was great! We wanted to sit outside but was a bit too chilly so they moved us to a table inside by a big window and they were very happy to accommodate us. The service was great and all who helped us were wonderful! the food was good, we wished for a few more choices, but did find some wonderful things to eat. We would definitely go there again!
Food was reasonably tasty. Like that they use local sources (was one of the selling points for me). Unique dishes (at least in description) but the meal wasn't as good as I expected and a little overpriced (but maybe due to local sources which I'm ok with). I would probably eat there again but unsure.
