Phenomenal setting. Wasn't impressed with the food (steaks way too salty, cold vegetables)
We traveled 2 hours, with confirmed reservations made on line, and the restaurant was closed. Poor commentary on reservations made through Open Table during NY restaurant week. Shame on you.
Nice please, excellent view of the Hudson River and the Tappan Zee Bridge, very good food, kind waiters, friendly manager.
Our lunch during Hudson Valley Restaurant Week was very good but not outstanding. With so many restaurants in the metropolitan area, it is difficult to be exceptional. The setting is lovely. We enjoyed the day.
Great service. Waitress was attentive. Food was great
A friend and I had lunch outdoors at Pier 701. She had a lobster roll and I had a burger. Both came with french fries. All the food was excellent. It was a little chilly but we sat outside anyway overlooking the river. There were very few people there. Service was outstanding. I don't know what it's like when it's crowded, but it was great when we went. Definitely worth a try!
Reserved a indoor table to celebrate my anniversary but was put outside next to a loud bar. We weren’t exactly dressed to be seated outside and had to talk loud being that we were next to the outdoor bar with loud people. We also noticed people had outdoor heating but was never offered this option. A man took care of us telling us our server would be with us but we never actually met our server. The man continued to wait on us and he was great. Actually he is the only reason I didn’t rate lower. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for years and have a degree in hospitality so I know there isn’t an excuse for how busy it was because it wasn’t busy. I wish this experience could have been better
Great ambience right on the water! Had heaters and more than enough space for a baby and toddler. Great brunch!
lunch menu is limiting, fairly overpriced with skimpy portions, especially for the price.
E.G. $9 for chicken on a salad should result in more than 6-7 slices of chicken.
The outside venue is nice and may compensate for the food/price.
Music way too loud, even outdoors by the rail. Kitchen and wait staff understaffed. But everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Food was delicious and service was spot on. Views outdoors were spectacular. Definitely will be coming back.
The hostess was quite nice. We had an outside table with a great view. Our Waitress, Mary, was very attentive. We ordered half dozen oysters , split pea barley soup, small plate crispy baby back hoisin ribs with delicious coconut rice. Good combination. Jack Daniels BBQ braised short ribs. Everything was delicious and no left overs for the dog. Will be coming back again.
In-laws were awesome and got the wife and I a gift card for a night out away from the kids. Made reservations and happy we did, it was hoping when we arrived at 6:30 on a Friday evening. As is with most restaurants these days they are suffering a shortage of employees so they ask you be patient which we were.
They had a live band, but in my opinion they were slightly too loud. Trying to have a conversation at any of the dinner tables would have been like trying to communicate at a college bar on dollar beer night. The music was enjoyable just slightly too loud.
Onto the food, I would say it was just OK. We ordered a bunch of appetizers including the corn salad, octopus, and mussels. The salad was amazing, octopus was not exciting and the mussels were torched. Out of the almost 2 dozen mussels in the bowl we probably had 10 that were edible. The rest were dried out rubberbands. We also ordered the skirt steak and it was cooked perfectly and juicy. Was a smaller portion for the price but again it was a date night so we weren't complaining much.
Wouldn't rush back but the view was incredible.
The food was just okay and was very expensive. I was not impressed with the limited menu and $29 for zucchini spaghetti is outrageous. Great spot for drinks and there was live music which we enjoyed. Beautiful ambiance and that will bring us back, doubtful we would sit for a meal again.
Not as good as usual quite disappointed and I will think about going so often. It was my friends birthday and I brought her there for the lobster roll and they run out by Friday. Ridiculous
Our waiter was amazing and views were beautiful, will definitely be back!
brussel sprout, wedge salad, octopus, chicken/chorizo pasta, short ribs, tiramisu cake all good. Skirt steak could have been thicker and better seasoned.
Mixed Drinks are potent.
Service was good, no rushes, no mistakes.
View is terrific.
Worked out to $75pp with tax and tip
Guests enjoyed their brisket wrap, omelet of the day, and creole shrimp. Excellent bloody Mary. Waterside view. Accommodating, professional, and friendly staff. Only thing, did not appreciate valet parking, and suggested tip.
Everything about this restaurant was amazing. Service was great, food was amazing and ambiance was great. I would most Definitely recommend this place.
Service was horrible, food and drinks mediocre. I ordered an item that was never brought to me. The cocktails were so watered down that it tasted like juice. We ended up leaving after appetizers to go else where for dinner. I’ve been to this restaurant before and had a good experience which is why I returned. This visit however was very disappointing. The price of the food and drinks is not a good value at all! They have lost a customer.
Got conflicting information from managers and staff when making a group reservation but it all worked out perfectly in the end!
My husband and I had a wonderful meal. Even though it wasn’t on the menu, they made us their delicious fondue! It comes with bread, apples, carrot sticks, and celery. We both had the short ribs, which melted in your mouth. Alexa was our server and she was great...on top of things but not overbearing.
Loved being hosted by the manager Andy!
Very nice place, great service
The food was good but the dining room needs to be refreshed
Delicious food and nice atmosphere. Had a great night with my girlfriends. We all loved it there... Will be back!
Menu should change more often
Decorated so nicely for the holidays. We sat in the fireplace room and food/service was wonderful as always.
Not as pretty in the winter
Our server Alexa was amazing and made this evening celebration absolute amazing, She is one of the best server I have in a long time. The food was delicious, I would recommend this place a must try and asked for Alexa to be your server.
I enjoyed my dining experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. Very friendly and accommodating. Loved the decor. Fire place made it cozy and warm. It was a great way to celebrate my 64th birthday. I highly recommend it
Used a wonderful Groupon for dinner for 4 for $109. Lovely small room with nice 50-60’s old R and R playlist overhead. Each couple shared an appetizer; then we each had a main. Rather than dessert or cocktails we got a nice Shiraz for no extra charge. Food was excellent: we had the pumpkin, squash salad- plentiful, fresh and tasty; and then the Skirt steak and short rib tagliatelle. Both were flavorful and perfect for a cold night. No desserts as we were full- but a lovely place to go to a nice comfort food meal!
Attentive staff and delicious food. Lovely setting.
truly outstanding view. great music. friendly staff.
We dined here during restaurant week. The dining room has a lovely stone fireplace. The beet and pumpkin salad was delicious and the steak entrée was cooked perfectly. They were very accommodating with substituting mashed potatoes for french fries. A very pleasant experience with delicious food and great service.
Francis Coppola wine tasting and food paring. This was our fifth time attending a food and spirits tasting event at Pier 701 and each time was a pleasure. The wines were excellent but the food was amazing. Blackened oysters Rockefeller, Chilean sea bass over risotto, espresso and cocoa rubbed pork tenderloin with polenta and a chocolate ganache terrine were followed by Coppola Agnesi brandy and cigars. It doesn’t get much better than that. Thank you!
I received a call just as we were about to leave for the restaurant stating that it was closed due to rain. I wold have appreciated an earlier call to make other arrangements.
This place wasn't even open! Not sure why would you be able to reserve a table if they are not freaking open. Totally a joke...
Great food, quick and polite service.
