Great food, friendly staff, incredible view! Best old fashioned on the north shore!
We found the servers very able and friendly! Food was excellent and the ambience was comfortable! The noise level was ok and that’s important as I wear aids so sound is very important!
Delicious salmon entree and half rack ribs
Both tasty! Vegetables like I enjoy them.
Booth works for us
We celebrated our anniversary. We wanted to have a quieter environment and found that the table we were originally shown was noisy and there was a nearby table where the 2 or 3 kids were running around and of course parents were oblivious. We asked for a corner table at the outdoor patio which was enclosed and heated. Our server was March and she was friendly and helpful with suggestions. We ordered the calamari to share and it arrived shortly and was piping hot. The wine list was expansive but not intimidating and profiled many notable BC wines. I ordered the halibut which was a touch over cooked and the rice and vegetables accompanying were uninspiring. My husband ordered the lobster Cobb salad and was surprised to find the lobster was shredded into an unidentifiable mass on his platter so who knows if it really was lobster?? He did enjoy. The salad for the most part. The cheesecake and espressos were also acceptable. We may be back as service has improved but the menu and presentation are a bit hit and miss
The food has improved greatly so we were very happy
Food was okay, not great for the prices. Very basic, nothing unique that one might expect with the venue/prices. Not a culinary experience. Made a reservation and got the worst table in the restaurant. One might think that if you made a reservation and planned to be there then you might be reserved a table with a view over those that walk in off the street.
The food was very good. We did find it a little loud and our server did not check in frequently enough and she was very competent but not overly warm or friendly
Service lackluster. Food was mediocre at best and overpriced.
We are convinced we paid for the view.
We could have gotten better quality food at North Vancouver market and paid half the price and then sat outside for an unobstructed view of downtown Vancouver.
The food was very tasty. I think that everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. The brulee was delicious. We were not rushed as we were enjoying a nice get-together with friends. My only criticism is that the coffee was not very good, or even hot.
I had been a regular here due to its close proximity to my home and my office. Over the past couple years, I noticed both the service and food quality had declined and we stopped visiting. It was a really tough decision because it arguably has the best location and view in all of the Inlet.
I had heard that new management had made significant improvements so I decided to give it another go...the food, the service - everything was FANTASTIC. I am a fan once again!
Thanks and kudos to the new management and staff!
Food was really great, service was slow and took our server 15 mins to bring us the bill.
We arrived with a reservation and were seated relatively quickly. We ordered appies and drinks. The drinks took over a half hour to arrive and the appies took longer. 3 of four meals came after a wait and the fourth meal came around 5 minutes later. I don’t think I could recommend this restaurant as it was our second time and the service was extraordinarily slow the first time.
Terrible, awful, horrible service. Table wasn’t cleared before main course came, waitress couldn’t be bothered to check on our dining experience and if we didn’t feel unwelcome enough, she promptly gave us our bill without asking if we wanted anything else, like dessert. Maybe management should start hiring more based on experience rather than looks. We’ve had better service at fast food joints!
The food was sub par - seafood tower was a complete waste of money, the only thing worth eating were the oysters.
All around incredibly disappointing. Won’t be back again for a while, mostly due to the terrible service.
We had the seafood boil. Our server was nice enough but she didn’t explain anything and the boil was $55. We were 3 hungry adults. We could have eaten 2. None of this was explained. Gorgeous view
Groupon Menu was good, food, service and ambience all excellent.
The perfect place to impress out-of-town visitors with one of the best views and best menus on the North Shore!
The food was fresh and it was good. The only thing I was a little put off by was that there were no herbal teas to order so I just asked for plain hot water to sip on as it was cold outside and I was charged $1.50 for plain hot water.
Great location with fabulous view. The food tasted good, although it was not hot when it arrived at the table and it had to be sent back. Service was slow on the patio.
The food when it arrived was good but the service was very very poor! We waited over half an hour for a first drink , then we waited another hour and 15 minutes after ordering for our main course, not a problem for those who ordered a starter but a very long wait for those who didn't .
The dessert menu looked good but we decided we couldn't stand the thought of having to wait for it.
Great, as many times before. Creative food, awesome view and attentive service. Couldn’t want more
I felt like this place is full of diners that didn’t know any better. The food was very meh. The crab cakes were yucky. The decor is out dated. Won’t return.
Good location and southern view are really nice feature at Pier 7, great to take guests from out of town there. Unfortunately I have noticed a decline in creativity of menu items and food quality over last two years. This last visit service was fair as well, staff didn't seem to genuinely care about clients, they were merely doing their job.
Staff did a good job of accommodating our seating request. Food was yummy, view is unbeatable!
We had brunch, crab eggs benny. Prefer the smoked salmon over the crab. Found the crab a bit course. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the potatoes were yummy! Can’t bear the view Vancouver! The only issue is with trying to find parking. There is quite a bit of construction which takes up quite a bit of the parking that is reasonably prices. Forget about parking in the Pinnacle Hotel as they are charging downtown Vancouver prices. Other than street parking the best place is over at Lonsdale Quay.
It had a great view over the water. Great place for a date or a get together with friends.
Beautiful view. Great selection of dishes and drinks. Local oysters and steamed mussels were awesome. House special squash ravioli was outstanding. But two men in our group ordered the fish and chips and felt it was average and the serving size was quite small.
Disappointing. Asked to be seated adjacent to the water in the reservation and despite being a slow night we were not seated near the water.
The hostess was ride but the waitress was nice but not great. Water was slow to be refilled and want asked if I wanted a further cocktail having finished one during my appt.
Food was solid not spectacular. Ambiance was the highlight. The view, despite our seating, is gorgeous.
The reason for the visit was our 5 year anniversary and we wanted/expected high end. This is place is more drinks with out of town cousin.
Beautiful view and great food! We will be coming back and recommending to our friends and family :)
Delicious food, good service and wonderful environment. Will go again.
Beautiful restaurant amazing view. I found the drinks to be amazing and creative. My disappointment lays mainly in the food. Several of the items that I requested was sold out. Portion sizes are very small. The appetizer was more filling than the main entree. Dinner menu limited.
I would however suggest happy hour at this restaurant
Delicious ‘Caesar’ with horseradish! Tasty ‘bennies’ for brunch. Best coffee too...
Always a pleasure, my fav! and Friendly, beautiful staff!
We enjoyed our meal, the seating and the service very much. Thanks.
Always great experience
Lovely window table as requested. Thank you! Food was great - better than it was a year ago. Wait staff good - a touch slow due to two big tables that arrived after us. All in all thumbs up! 👍👍👍
Was there for a birthday for my wife , which the restaurant was told before hand no mention of it which was ok..
We had the Dine Vancouver Menu my wife's food was returned twice as it was cold the first time i believe me not the veggies I think were sitting in a bowl of ice cubes that's how cold they were .
So second attempt was not much better salmon was over cooked not sure how you over cook salmon but to think it was cooked ahead ,and reheated . Was very dry . When asked by manager I said it was not up to standard but my wife at this time was hungry and was not going to wait .
So a bit disappointing . Had not been there in awhile but I really think there should be a policy where phones should be turned off the table across were taking selfies and talking very loudly , young girls maybe take selfies before coming to dinner as people want to dine in a quiet place .
We like this restaurant, but this time even though I had reserved the table a month in advance our experience was not perfect, we were given a choice of a table that was to warm or one to cold since the place was almost full, my wife decided for the cold table and had to dine with blankets(!).
Service was courteous but somewhat slow because of the full house.
The food was tasty but we went for the “dine out” menu since it was supposed to be a good deal, the thin is that the potions were smaller than usual, we had visited this same restaurant a month before and ordered the same dessert without the “dine out” deal and the portions of cake were three time larger, normal size agains an inch length portion of cake.
I do recommend this restaurant but not the annual “dine out “ menu, since the smaller portions reflect the “reduced” pricing of the special deal which never happened to us during “dine out” dinners.
Good food except the grilled salmon, excellent portions, excellent dessert, very good ambiance and very hospitable service.
Poor selection of beer on tap and the grilled salmon was very dry.
- nice view
- good food
- good cost performance
- good location to shop after or before going to the restaurant
We went to the restaurant for dine around and the view across the harbor. We got there and they tried to sit us by some doors that were used for exit, and were closed.I asked if they were allowed to block these doors and the staff didn't know.Well I had tried to make a request for a window seat 3 weeks before coming to Vancouver and was told they didn't make reservation for window seats. When I asked about them at the restaurant,I was told they were reserved for table of 4,we were a table of 2.I asked for a manager about this and he said they like to have 4people at those tables .After some discussion with him, about that is not the way we should be treated because we are a table of 2.He seated us at a table for 4 with a great view.Only problem he said it was reserved at 6:45 and I told him we would be done by then because we were staying in Vancouver not the North Shore and were taking the sea bus back. What i don't understand is if they don't take reservation for window seats how can someone else have our seats at 6: 45? Besides that the food was really good and the views across the harbor is worth a trip to this place.
