Ningún otro restaurante en North Vancouver lo acerca tanto al mar como este, gracias a sus vistas de 180° desde el animado Port hasta el verde Stanley Park. El Pier 7 está construido en la pasarela del histórico Victory Shipyards, justo en la renovada zona frente al mar en el área del Lonsdale Quay. El restaurante ofrece almuerzo, brunch y cena los 7 días de la semana en sus dos niveles con mesas frente al mar y patios con calefacción. El menú se distingue por sus mariscos con un énfasis en las opciones del barco a su mesa, así como una oferta de carnes y aves de temporada. La animada área del bar es una parada habitual para quienes regresan a casa después del trabajo en el Sea Bus cercano. I was really looking forward to coming here for the first time for a birthday celebration with a friend. The menu and photos of the restaurant online looked perfect. Waiter was friendly and just getting to know the job which he let us know. Ordered drinks first, one was super sweet but still good flavour, the other was a rosemary grapefruit cocktail and was really good. We asked about a halibut menu option other than fish and chips and the waiter said he would have to ask the manager. Upon returning to the table, he said the manager advised, they could substitute halibut for any fish meal. I ordered the halibut when it came, I didn't think it was halibut, because it was a long, thin slab. I tried it and it was extremely dry, rubbery and flavorless, seeming like it had just been grilled in a pan with no seasoning. The arancini ball with it was no better, deep fried in what tasted like the fish and chips batter, with no flavour, and was super dry inside. I don't like to send food back and made sure the waiter knew it was not his fault, but it was inedible. I asked just for the steak frites instead, and received the smallest steak I have ever seen. It was cooked to liking, and had a pad of what looked like herbed butter on top, yet somehow had absolutely no flavor or seasoning once again. It was extremely disappointing and after a few bites I just boxed it up. The cedar plank salmon was good, but a very small portion as well. Thankfully the pre-made yak fry appetizer ensured we didn't leave still super hungry, but what started as a meal we were very much looking forward to, left unsatisfied and wishing we had chosen somewhere else to dine.

Ended up leaving before ordering. Made a reso for 2 people on the patio, gave us a table that was so squished in a corner that neither us was could fit into the seat because the space was so small. I’m also 5’4 and around 115 pounds so I can normally fit into small seats pretty well. This was a table that was basically unusable. If we were walk ins and that is all they had left it would be one thing but felt like for a reso to put us there was a little wild.

Our server didn’t check up on us after our food came and we had trouble flagging her down for another round of drinks. Drinks were good but they took so incredibly long. They also missed a drink order but because they were taking so long, we just decided to forget it. Service just seemed like a total miss. When we first arrived, we asked for two high chairs and they said they would get them right away but it took them over 10 minutes as we stood around the table holding two kids while we waited (this was already after we waited for them earlier to set the table for us and I had told them then that we needed two high chairs). Overall for a bill that was close to $400 for 4 adults, a toddler, and a baby, it’s not somewhere we will be back.

Food is very good, the patio is so nice! Not enough servers or chefs, we were there three hours! Way too long, I don’t know why but we it is often slow but it was too slow this visit. They need more staff I guess.

Food and service from Ram, appearance and view were perfect! Our only complaint that cannot be helped with out adding draperies or something, the echo of sounds make it difficult for hearing for people with hearing issues. Draperies would help absorb the clanging but I get that just has to remain an issue for those with hearing aids. I'll be back!

Salmon is served half cooked: raw inside, done on the outside. I think servers should ask you how you would like your salmon cooked, :- if you would like it “well done” or not.

We were seated promptly in a booth with a view then totally ignored by at least three servers until I waved my arms to get some attention. The manager came over and apologized, gave us two comp glasses of prosecco. After that things improved.
