Pier 500 Ratings and Reviews
We absolutely LOVED this restaurant. The ONLY suggestion I have is to ask for a table by the Fireplace rather than by the door/bar. But our waiter was fantastic, the food was terrific (in our group we ordered: prime rib, walleye sandwich, cheese curds, walleye bits (tartar sauce is fantastic!), the Lobster Bisque soup and the roasted chicken. Everyone really enjoyed their dish. What a nice find! We left very satisfied. Also, the prices were just great! I ordered the Queen Prime Rib which was only $23.00 and it was huge! Great value for prime rib and super flavorful. Happy Hour beer was just $3.00 in a tall glass . Just great! We will for sure go back!
p.s. the two igloos outside looked so fun!!!!! Would love to try them sometime.
It was soooo crowded and I asked for a booth for 4 of us on open table and we ended up at a table in a back room filled with large family gatherings and the lights were so bright I felt like I was at McDonalds play area for the kids. We had 3 different people come to our table and no one knew what the other was doing. When one of the waitresses asked for our drink orders and 2 of asked for tea, she looked at us like"really?" and did not even ask what kind of tea, when she brought it , I asked what kind and she told me a black tea and I can't drink such a highly caffeinated drink so late in the day... this is the first time I have not been asked what kind of tea. Then when I asked the waitress what kind of tea it was and she told me I asked her what other kinds she had and she listed off about 5 kinds..... I was really IRKED that she took it upon herself to just decide for herself what kind of tea we should have.... I wish we had not tipped her so well
The food was amazing! However, when adding a side (beyond the one that comes with it) to your already -$13-16 burger a $5.00 charge seems quite steep...so a burger becomes $18-21!
$5.00 as an appetizer...no problem...just a bit of a shock...we will share next time!
This was my first visit to pier 500 and it was a wonderful experience. Our waiter was attentive, humorous and very helpful. The food was delivered in a timely manner and hot. The appetizer, the main entree and the dessert all were well presented. Will gladly have a return visit.
My friends and I went here for one of my friends birthdays. Everything was great, the drinks, service and food. My only issue was the price of the food for what you got. Very Small portions, I still felt hungry after I was done with my meal. I had the scallops and they were to die for, just wish I had a little bit more, considering I spent $53 on just myself.
Our server was delightful and could not do enough for us. Acoustics are not great but we were seated in the most quiet spot available -my husband has some hearing loss - and we appreciated it. Prices are pretty steep but the food is delicious. Nice evening!
We’ve been coming there for a while now and have always loved it. We ordered the Gouda nachos for an appetizer which we’ve gotten several times. There was maybe 3or 4 pieces of small chicken on them. My husband ordered the prime rib which he’s also gotten several times and it was lacking in flavor and also his piece was well done versus medium which he requested. This was our first date out since have our 3rd baby 5 months ago so it was disappointing especially since we expected a great meal as this is usually our go to place.
