Our waitress was a champion! She had to exert a lot of patience with our table for six. Two of our group were visiting from Virginia, staying in Apple Valley, got mixed up on the time, and came over an hour late. We had no pressure on us from our waitress at all. She was an excellent server, and always had a smile for us. Also, it was Labor Day and the patio and inside restaurant were totally full. Good for your staff who did the best they could!

Substandard experience at a normally reliable restaurant. From the start, the host was inattentive and seemed to be bothered when he asked for our reservation, which isn’t a good start. Afterwards, our server took about five minutes to greet us, and managed to not only neglect mentioning being out of a main entree, but to bring an appetizer we’d ordered. The main entrees were also disappointing as well. It will likely be a very long time before I revisit Pier 500 for dinner.
LOVE the Walnut-Chicken Raspberry--etc Spring Salad
Ordered the Prime Rib Hash, $14, all meat, no hash, here is an item you could have a low food cost, offer the customer a great value, use a low cost ingredient, potatoes, as a filler and you leave money on the table and the customer feeling ripped off by a small portion size. No wonder restaurants loss money. I think I had three diced potatoes in the whole serving. Crazy. Walked away disappointed and hungry in three hours.
The food was great and the pairings within the dish were well thought through.
We had the prime rib and sea bass special. Both were excellent. Glad we had a reservation as it was packed.
Pier 500 has been our favorite restaurant for years, we always go on our anniversary!

LoLo Kitchen has them and they are awesome, Pier 500 chooses to omit a very popular appetizer for what reason? a mystery, even our server Adam said everybody asks about it!!

Lunch was good. 1/2 sandwich and soup--Lobster Bisque great. Tomato Basil too spicy for the wife
We were seated in the bar so a little noisier and less ambiance.
My boyfriend and I went on a date here and our waitress Megan really made the experience so good.

Definitely not what I expected for high-end prices. To put it bluntly it was like a “high-end” Applebee’s. More like a shorts and T-shirt bar. Wife paid $14 for a drink that definitely did NOT taste good. No gin orchid please.

It was a beautiful day, and we were able to get an outside table. Server was excellent, and food was very tasty. Price was a little on the high side, but not over the top. Great place to celebrate a special birthday!
I had the salmon healthy bowl which was good overall. Very seldom do restaurants cook salmon perfectly, but Pier 500 did a super job! On the other hand the grains in the bowl were bland which I think were a result of the vinaigrette only covering a portion of the food in the bowl. I wasn’t sure which ingredients in the bowl were to be served hot, warm, or cold because the food temp of the ingredients was very inconsistent. My husband had the chicken parm meatball sandwich which he found delicious! Service was on point.
We had reservations, so we’re seated promptly. Our waiter was good, not too chatty, but maybe it was an understaffed situation. Drinks were good. It took a long time to get our food. Four of us, and they said there was a large party of people which delayed ours. We love this patio and enjoyed ourselves, it just could’ve been a tiny bit better.
