   Be very careful if you rent the back igloos, yes the night was cold, and yes we were warned to dress appropriately. They did say that there was a space heater in the igloo but the space heater was not working correctly as it was on the highest it could go and I could touch the space heater with my hands, my space heater under my home desk would give more heat than what the heater in the igloo. Even with full blown winter clothes scarves gloves it was still very cold almost unbearable.

   Our favorite place for food and atmosphere! First time in an igloo, which was so fun and cute! We requested lakeside though and were taken on beachside with no view :( Still 5 stars though! *****

   We booked a 2 person igloo and was put in a cold make shift shack next to the igloos. We watched another 2 party go into one of the available igloos and told our server our situation that we had paid for one of them and don’t want to eat in their shack. She looked to be moving things around in the last free available igloo when another server placed a party of 5 in it. Our server came back and said that our reservation said a party of 5 and that there were no available igloos. We decided to eat inside and later talked to the manager. Manager apologized for the mistake and was also confused why they placed us there. He said it did show we were a party of 2 and that the only way to be placed in the shack would have been if we called and agreed to sit there. He also mentioned they only use it for parties over 5 and there must have been a mix up. Our server inside was great and food was good. The manager was also very nice and comped our drinks, ultimately we did not have to pay the igloo fee. Was very disappointed about not being in the igloo but the food and ambiance was still very nice.

    The cost was not worth the experience. Heater in igloo was barely giving any heat. Blankets were not clean. Honestly it was not my best igloo experience.

    I went for a valentines lunch in an igloo. Very fun and service was great!! A little colder than I expected. I’ve been to an igloo win 2 oscillating heaters that did wonders. My appetizer and entree were a $1 different which was odd. Great experience but very cold igloo.

    Pricy but so fun for the kids. It was cold in the igloo so I was glad I had read that ahead of time so we were prepared in layers. The service and the food was great!

    First time dining at Pier 290. Went for my birthday. We experienced dining in the igloo for lunch. It was nice and plan to go back for dinner time. Our waitress Brianna was great!

    This was a great way to celebrate my wife’s birthday! The entire experience exceeded our expectations- the igloo was quite comfortable with outside temps in the mid 20’s. We dressed for the weather were just fine. Our server was terrific-very friendly and attentive. My wife has celiac and the server was very knowledgeable about what was safe on the menu for her to eat. The food and drinks were both outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening!

    Had dinner on a very cold Saturday night in the back beach igloo called the Bandshell (?) since there was 8 of us. Regular igloos seat 6. It was cold despite two modest heaters, but it was REALLY cold, so can’t complain. Food was good and plentiful and Zack, our server was wonderful! Attentive and food was delivered quickly.

    I agree with other reviewers - the igloo is COLD. They put a heater in there but it doesn’t do nearly what it should. The warmest it got up to was 52 degrees and every time the server came in it went back down into the 40’s. We wore our coats the whole time. Not worth the $ for sure and I booked a regular table and my husband checked in and they asked him if he wanted the igloo without mentioning the $75 extra charge. I wasn’t happy. The food was pretty good and our server was nice, but some changes probably need to be made or more people will be leaving unhappy.

    $75 to freeze our tail ends off in the outdoor igloo was a decision we wish we hadn't made. We did not enjoy the experience. Saving grace was food came quickly. Pier 290 has great food and service, but we really wish we dined in the restaurant.

    Always great food then after dinner wanted to stay for live music but was soooo loud not even just annoying loud but way more than that… absolutely no reason to have live music so uncomfortably loud… Igloo experience could be better- throws on chairs more lights candles on tables- ok but pay for rental and then just ok experience- server was great and food always keeps us coming back!

    They need to either upgrade their electric power system or get out of the igloo “dining” business. One igloo was non-operational because the circuit was overloaded, and our igloo had a barely functional tiny space heater - we had ice forming on the inside and the temp went no higher than 32! The waitress offered to find blankets but we decided to eat inside. I mean we were freezing. Obviously they knew they had problems. Why let us get our hopes up - this was supposed to be a special date!?!? (The mgr did give us a free dessert, but we wanted the igloo experience. Our over-priced food was ok, but a disappointment overall.

    Could use another space heater. Could use blankets or actually say”bring them” pads on the chairs, Butt was cold. Loved the waitress! Would just go to inside patio next time cuz there was fire and it didn’t cost extra.

    It was our first visit and we’ll likely be back. We reserved igloos. Pretty cool but we paid $75 to reserve them. The heater wasn’t enough to keep up with the outside temp of high 20’s so we were very cold the entire time. We were prepared for a colder than normal dining experience but even the waiter admitted that it was quite chilly. Waiter was fantastic and probably the reason we’ll come back (inside, lol). Food was pretty good but cold before we could finish our meal. Again, we know why. The total vibe of the venue was cool and we like that there always live music. The lack of Covid protocols were absolutely disturbing tho. I get it…restaurants need customers. Meh…I’ll be back when stuff calms down. Cheers!

    We had a fantastic, efficient and kind server! But, we chose an igloo on NYE vs dining indoors due to COVID 19 concerns and being ammuno-compromised/pregnant. Our server did not wear a mask when in the igloo while we did, which was disappointing. With Omicron rates skyrocketing, that was unfortunate and unsafe. Otherwise we had a really nice time.

    We took Igloo option. Expected it to be cold in the igloo but not 37 degrees. The space heater was defective. Food was ok. I paid for the ambiance and was disappointed. We mentioned and showed them how cold it is multiple time. All we got was some heater adjustments that did nothing. Overall it was pretty underwhelming experience. Perhaps, I had high expectations or just bad luck

    Combining Christmas and birthday celebrations, had great service from our server Briana. Food and drinks were great. Would like to have seen stall wearing masks. Plenty of heat in our igloo, very comfortable. Definitely will come again!

    Great food and service. However, the reason we were in an “igloo” for dining was because we were trying to be extra careful due to my recent breast cancer surgery. Wish the servers would have been masked for this dining option. Most others in an igloo for dining are likely also trying to be more Covid cautious. Please consider masking up the igloo servers.
