Pier 29 Waterfront Restaurant
The "Piers" extensive menu has something for everyone using the freshest ingredients. There's Angus Prime Rib, steaks, seafood, chicken, pasta, lamb shanks, juicy hamburgers, pork chops, sandwiches, salads, fresh oysters, our own famous clam chowder and much much more! There's even a separate menu just for the kids too!
It was excellent.
It was excellent. The food. The service. The venue.
Always great food ans great service! I would highly recommend!
Our favorite place to celebrate birthdays with good friends!
We had a wonderful time. Our servers were the best. Vey attentive and polite. Couldn't have had better service. We brought a birthday cake and they took right over, keeping it cool, and serving it at the riggt time.
We definitely will be back!
No need for reservations around 4 PM. Service was ok when you could get her. Server had too many tables of large groups. Had to ask for water, only returned once towards the end of our meal. Regular order of salmon was cut in half for early dinners. Had one drink, server never around to ask for another. Just a bad time of day to go as business was slow so service was also.
Great restaurant for everyone.
Our server was exceptional and the food was great. The environment was excellent.
Pier 29 has a great view. They also have some of the best Terriyaki dishes. I had the salmon this time and it was great.
If you are nostalgic for the 1960s this is your place. The menu looks like it had not changed for 50 years. It is quiet and I liked that, is easy to get to and easy to park.
We arrived just before our reservation for 6. The service was terrible; one person of our group had to track down the server for water. When the server arrived he poured water from the pitcher, spilling the water as he filled each glass. This is not the only trip seeking out our serve. After waiting 2 hours for our meal, and 3 trips to find our server we were informed the kitchen was backed up! :( By the time our meal arrived we spent close to 3 hours without any conciliatory response management. Management was missing in action! We'll never going backed, you have been forewarned.
Waiter was horrible. He never came to check up in us and had to be called over when we needed anything. My wife was served raw scallops with her meal and when we told the waiter, he took the plate back, the tried to refire the raw scallops and added it to the already cold pasta. The scallops were still raw and now more chewy. They should have known that you can't reheat seafood. They did not offer a comp or discount. We had to throw out the food. Totally ruined our anniversary dinner. Poor experience. I chose this place for the views and the good reviews, but was disappointed with the meal. I would never get service like this in Texas.
We were so pleased to be seated by a window with a wonderful view, and in a quiet spot so we could carry on conversation easily. Good variety of menu choices, and appreciated Early Bird prices very much!
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Pier 29 Waterfront Restaurant. We were there on a rainy weekday so it was pretty quiet. There is patio seating which looked nice. But on a rainy day it wasn't an option.
We had clam chowder, fish and chips and a crab/shrimp Louie salad. Everything was excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant.
It took way too long to get the food out also way too expensive for the quality of food
We have fined at Pier 39 several times. We really like the food, wine list and great service. The view is amazing.
We took our family of seven to this restaurant for my adult daughter’s birthday. The service was very slow at first until we realized that the dining room was understaffed. Only two servers For the whole place plus a big luncheon going on. Our server was really nice and catered to us after that. The food was actually very good. I was a bit surprised but I would definitely recommend this place.
Wonderful fresh crab Louie!!! With a lovely view too! Service was very good and accessibility for disabled is excellent! Care free experience with friends!!
I love the relaxing view of the bay and estuary. It was nice and quiet. The calarmarie was very good so was the prime rib. Service was very good. Parking was great.
Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. The view was wonderful.
I have never been disappointed going to Pier 29. The food is always great!!! The views are perfect!! The service is wonderful!!
Great food for the price. Gorgeous views. Fantastic staff. Well set up bzr
Great place for family dinners
The cocktails (especially the pomegranate martini) were delicious. Not too sweet with a nice amount of alcohol. The food was bland. Our waitress was attentive, but our water was never refilled.
Very nice and quiet and with excellent view of the bay and San Francisco. Our servers are excellent and very helpful. We had a very enjoyable birthday dinner for my sister.
Always love eating here good food good service and the price is right.
We were returning to the Tri-Valley from San Francisco and wanted a restaurant with a water view. We chose Pier 29 from the OpenTable map because of its location and were very pleasantly surprised. We arrived at 5:30 so were able to order from the "Early Bird" menu which is a bargain. Meals come with soup or salad and dessert and are under $20. My filet of sole was perfectly cooked as were the vegetables. As an added bonus, the view of San Francisco from the front of the restaurant is outstanding!
Ok. Nothing special.
Food was great and so was the service.
First we we were surprised to even get a reservation. Once we arrived, we received a table by the window. A plus. Then the service, food, and price was icing in the cake. A wonderful Valentine’s Day Dining experience. Thank you Pier 29 restaurant and staff.
Do not go. Service was horrendous. Food mediocre. Nothing positive to say.
Before 7PM on Valentine’s Day, they ran out of one of their specials for the day.
It was the best food I've ever try very classy very delicious had a variety of choices on the menu I enjoyed my complete meal from the beginning to the end and still was able to eat my dessert the value is a good price I would definitely go there again
We dined on a Monday evening in January, after the sun had set so were unable to enjoy the view. The restaurant had very few people in it. It is a nice place and will return someday.
We waited for menus, waited to have our orders taken and waited for the food to arrive, well over an hour. We were there over two hours! No explanation given and no attention by the waitress.
Interesting menu options of steaks, chops, seafood including scallops. Super friendly helpful waitress experience. Cool to see the aquariums with variety of fish and coral. Early dinner experience available at lower $ too.
Needs updating big time. Such a fabulous location. The wine list looks like it came from Nebraska with white Zinfandel another choice wines that are hard to believe
Wish they would put money into it as the food is actually good as it is the service but it’s so dated like it came from the 70s
Nice location. Expected more from other reviews. Short on staff nothing special as expected. Will not return.
Several years ago I remembered how good the chicken fried steak tasted. I ordered this again and was so disappointed. The gravy tasted like it was made with margarine...
Otherwise, the restaurant is clean and the wait staff friendly. Other members of our party ordered fried chicken and thought it was good. Just do something to improve your chicken fried steak gravy...use butter instead of margarine?
The food is very good, with an extensive menu, the service is always excellent, and prices are moderate. The setting by the marina is pleasant. The view of San Francisco from the front of the restaurant is one of the best. Parking is easy.
