I ate at Pienza twice on two different days during a recent conference held at the Gaylord.
Both times I found the staff very friendly and quick to ask if I needed anything.
The first time I walked in with no reservation and was still instantly seated and served.
2nd time I used Open Table to book a reservation and was accorded the same treatment.
The food was excellent, and there was wide variety between what was available, from cereal and oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, french toast, pastries, etc. to eggs, bacon, sausage. Orange juice, milk and water were in abundance, and I did several other kinds of juices available for purchase.
I would highly recommend Pienza to the busy traveler on the go who needs a quick place to assemble a plate of food themselves to their own tastes.
The food was amazing and they had gluten free options that were sooo yummy!

The service was excellent and the food was good. However, I made reservations for a lunch buffet at 12:30 and was told when I arrived that due to an event, it was only a breakfast buffet and the only lunch item was roast beef, mashed potatoes and broccoli. And, I was also informed that the buffet would be closing in a 1/2 hour. I was disappointed and thought that I should have been informed in advance.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our gathering at the Pienza. The food was delicious, especially the individually made omelets. The wait staff was exceptional -- from the cocktails before our meal to the end we were never rushed and never had to wait for service. In addition, everyone was very courteous.
Our friends were able to relax and enjoy this special time together.

Have you ever been to a restaurant where the trash was piled up at the door. That is what greeted me. I should have turned around when I saw the dirty tables and half eaten food piled in overflowing trash receptacles close to the door. The food was cold and without taste. I have never had a meal this bad. The desert was ok. A bowl of Romen noodles would have been more satisfying. I give this place zero stars, thumbs down.
We had reservations for Christmas Brunch at 3:30 which was a whopping $85/per person. Naturally our expectations were high. We were seated at our first table, which was adjacent to the stage where a holiday show was taking place. It was so loud we would’ve had to scream to hear each other so we asked to be moved inside. We were brought to a new table, which I can only assume had previously seated a family with young, messy children; the floors were trashed and hadn’t been swept up. Apparently the buffet was closing at 4:00 so the food was mostly picked over and what was left was none too appealing. I struggled to fill a single plate with appetizing-looking food. I was actually shocked we were still charged full price. Definitely not worth it and I won’t be back.
Some of the food was overcooked. Food was replenished quickly. We were kind of far away from the buffet, even though there were closer tables. I just had back surgery two months ago, so it was tiring going back and forth. They had these wonderful peppermint macaroons that were yummy!
Its ok. Very overpriced for what you get. Service is great, but the bussing carts and tubs smelt like they were never cleaned and they stunk while they were rolled around the tables. Some food was good, some was on its way to be good but was not cooked correctly so it was ruined. We only ate here twice and then we just didnt go back
I was very displeased with the buffet as a whole. No Prime Rib station as stated on the menu. Brisket was well done. Mashed potatoes were like soup and someone spilled a salt shaker in them. Overall foods that were cooked were not of good quality. I was not impressed with how much the overall cost was. Our waitress was not readily available...had to find someone constantly for water and refills. Did not wipe the table off after spilling OJ. The only food worth the experience was the seafood bar... Horrible and will never be back. Not worth the money at all. $88.00 per person...Grateful I could afford it.
We were surprised by the cost of the meal. It was over priced based on the quality of food. The quality of the food options did not match the price. Too expensive! Food was Terrible. Desserts looked pretty but were stale. The ambiance was nice as always but the food was terrible!
We went to Pienza last Christmas and had a wonderful experience.
We were excited to do it again but concerned that it was $20 more but realized that it included all you could drink. So we went this Christmas but we were somewhat disappointed.
The selection of foods was more limited than the year before...no rare roast beef, lack of variety of potato dishes (what happened to the fabulous scalloped potatoes?); the green vegetable selection was minimal (we missed the green beans!); and the quality and variety of the desserts was lacking compared to last year...what happened to the cute snowmen? The addition of king crab and stone crab claws was a nice gesture but they weren't very tasty (previously frozen?)
For improvement, maybe don't have the breakfast items and add back more potato, vegetable, and dessert options. We would like to come again next year but will check the menu carefully for these changes.

First off, I've been coming to the Peinza for years for Christmas with my family. This time I was rather disappointed. It took the server about 15-20 minutes to come and greet us and get beverages. At this point, we were already at the buffet eating without drinks. Our drinking glasses were dirty and the location the hostess sat us was next to a few big groups of people so it was really hard for us to get around. Needless to say, I was a bit disappointed this year
Wonderful, airy location. Busy Christmas day crowd. Service was attentive. Food was plentiful with many good choices but the taste/flavor was not exceptional. As such the value is not great but considering the time/location it would be hard to do better.
The food selection was limited, not a lot of variety, the area around the food was messy, the food was not hot, the food was not kept in a replenished state, the food was not labeled, food tasted bad especially ham, sweet potatoes had a usual texture, the mashed potatoes looked like soup and the price was horrendous for the wuality of food and ambiance.

The food and service were good. I have brunched here before and liked it well enough to return with guests on Christmas Day. My complaint is that it was not clearly stated at the time I made the reservation (and no note to inform me thereafter) that the brunch price on Christmas Day was $85. The food selection offered seafood - crab legs, shrimp, and lobster claws -very good! And unlimited drinks...But for the cost, there was no live music or entertainment and we were shown to two badly-placed tables before we were shown to a third less-badly-placed table. I am recommending it because it was a good brunch, but check the cost before you go.
Great food as always but a bit pricy for the brunch
This is our favorite Christmas Day destination for brunch. Food and displays are excellent. Atmosphere is lovely. Our drink service and getting seated was a bit slow.
The Christmas brunch was very pricey for what you received. There was something wrong with the oysters served; both visually and by taste. The quality of the food was good but not as exceptional as the price may have indicated.

We made a reservation and still had to wait one HOUR to get seated. The holidays are always busy but that's no excuse. Absolutely no point to making a reservation because it will not be honored!
We had reservations at Pienza for breakfast but when we arrived they said they can not honor reservations. Then why did they take the reservation. We were not the only ones. There were at least 30 people waiting for tables so we were not able to eat there. The Gaylord Hotel has a lot of work to do with the restaurants and room service. They were really struggling.
Overpriced breakfast buffet. We made a reservation and when we arrived she said “it doesn’t matter if you have a reservation, you just have to stand in line anyway” so, why make a reservation? The food was mediocre, definitely not worth $30 a person. Wish I had researched other brunch places in the area.
It is Christmas week so things were busy at the Gaylord. I didn’t like that I had made a reservation and still had to wait in a long line to be seated. And they said there were no tables for 10- they’d have to squeeze us in a table for 8. Hmmm. The food was good, and everyone found something they liked. So I’m the end, we enjoyed our breakfast.
Many of the food trays in the buffet were empty. Those that had food, often had items not corresponding to the menu nor to the label. For example, they ran out of salmon so replaced it with pasta. We had a 6:30 reservation and they were already running out of food. At least four food stations had empty pans in them.
The service truly made the experience! I only wished I’d known ahead of time there was Feast with the Grinch as I think my 3yo would have loved it. It was loud but still such wonderful service.

Food was cold and buffet was not being replenished. Tableware and table were not clean. Food was ordinary and not festive considering my hotel bill for ice was over $700 for one night! Will not recommend the entire experience to anyone.
We love going to breakfast at Pienza when we stay at the Gaylord. The food is very good and the staff is always wonderful. We were happy to see they were open for dinner while we were there too. I hope this is always the case, as food is very limited at the hotel. I would like to suggest the addition of turkey bacon to the breakfast choices.
If considering eating breakfast here during holidays season a reservation is a must. With reservations seated in 5 mins- without probably a 45 mins wait.
The place was crazy packed even if you had a reservation. We have gone there for breakfast for the last several years (with a reservation) around Thanksgiving time while staying at the Gaylord and have not seen this many people. There were two lines and it was very congested. We walked to the front thinking if we had a reservation we didn't have to stand in the long line......and the hostess and wait staff were very helpful to seat us given the situation. Food was not quite as good as in the past though. Seemed very rushed with so many people.
Great for families! Mozzarella balls were a hit! Individual pizzas and kids portions were still a lot of food!

This was my fourth and worst Thanksgiving at Pienza. They charged $10.00 more this year which would have been fine if the food was good. The food was not nicely presented, and dinner vegetables were presented with the breakfast offerings, as it was a brunch. When we got to dessert, the pumpkin pie was still frozen. I will not eat there next year.
