Food was good and the band, Wild Card, was very enjoyable. Fun on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The service was excellent.

Employee waitress sucked could tell you beers on tap or provide a list of beers. We were instructed that if we wanted to know what was on tap to go to bar and look and see what was on tap. The ribs were tuff side dishes no flavor or instead of a creamy sauce for corn dish was actually like corn soup. Will not go back.

Awesome restaurant, great grub and beer selection! Staff was unprepared for the Tonemasters' crowd. Cannot wait to come back for a "quiet, less hectic" dinner!

Waitress Lori was the best. Unfortunate food was not as good as I remember it. Pork was dry, beans were warm and portions were small for what you pay for bbq.

The service is good, and the environment is unique. The food does not stand out when compared to other establishments (with the exception of the flavored pickles). The quality is good though, and you don't dissapoint.

Disappointed to see management add a $1 fee for using a credit card. They could have just as easily added a few extra cents to the price of their food to recoup the credit card transaction fees. As a customer, the fee draws attention to them passing the burden on to me rather than them focusing on giving their customers a great experience. Because of the upcharge, will not be going back.

Were told only two servers were working because everyone else had quit. Waited 30 mins to have a drink order taken. The karaoke DJ repeatedly played raunchy uncensored songs in between singers. Then he would also let the singers just say whatever they they wanted when they had the mic. The highlight of the evening was a drunk karaoke singer singing I wanna "f#$@ you" over and over for almost 2 mins after giving up on the song he started. Not sure there was any management at all in this joint. This is a dive bar not a restaurant!!!

Nice find. Went on a Sunday for a late lunch not really knowing what to expect. What we found was a quaint BBQ restaurant with good food and an interesting ambiance. What really made the experience for us was the service. I think her name was Rachel. She made the visit memorable by her wit and friendly table side manner. It's a bit out of the way for us so we won't be frequent diners but will certainly visit went we are in the area.

Food is excellent, music when we were there was 60's music which to me was nice to hear something that you could understand the words. Service was slow and had to look for server twice.

We had a great time. We purposely went for the karaoke. We were seated at a booth. We missed out on watching karaoke, so disappointment. There were plenty of seats by the stage. The manage (male) didn't seem like a nice guy. Seemed he drag himself around to greet customers at tables.

This was our first visit. The food was very good. I had a brisket sandwich with beans and my husband ordered a 2-meat platter (chicken and smoked ham) with jalapeno corn and slaw. All of his food was excellent. My brisket sandwich was wonderful. The beans, though, were very soupy and I didn't feel like I got a good value there. Plus they were more "sweet" than "savory..." probably just a personal preference. The waitress was very nice but didn't come around much. After we were done with our meal, we had to go up front to the cash register and wait a bit for an employee to surface from the back to assist us. The restaurant was not very busy at Sunday lunch, so I feel like they were probably enjoying each other's company back in the kitchen or something.

Kept coming by asking if we were doing okay or if we needed anything . Austin the other bartender was very nice and came by and also checked on us . Wasn't too fond of the band but everything else was great . Thank

Been longtime regular customer of Pickles...

I visited Pickles on 12/31 with a group of friends. The Bar atmosphere was its usual cheerful self.

My group was disappointed over the meal we were all served...

All of our dishes were bland to say the least..

Maybe it as the New Year crowd that made the taste of the food suffer

Decent food, good service, and a great ambience for watching sports. Only issue is, I had a reservation for a large party through OpenTable and when I showed up they had no idea what I was talking about. Call ahead if you make a reservation so they know. Good news is, it was pretty empty around 5 on a Sunday.

Pickles BBQ is a casual friendly restaurant great for family dining, or fun with friends. Every table has its own TV. I wouldn't watch a TV at a dining table, but, I'm sure some people would find it entertaining. I had the baby back ribs. They are served naked with sauce on the side. The ribs were a little bit dry but quite meaty and the sauce was good. Given that I almost never like barbecue sauce that's pretty impressive. I had the mixed vegetables and they were tasty. I actually liked the lima beans and lima beans are something that I have never enjoyed. So that's pretty impressive, also. If you like beans in a thinner sauce, you would love these. They had a nice flavor. Our waiter was very personable and did an excellent job.

Wife, kids and I went saturday night based off the gimmick of flavor infused pickles alone. Why not? Added a little flare to the meal, but very little flavor. It's exactly what we thought it would be - a catch phrase or gimmick to get us there. No real discernable differences really between the 6 flavors. However once you get past the appetizers (queso is terrible) and the gimmick, the main courses were suprisingly really good. The smoked chicken was second best I've had here in the DFW area and my wife's pulled pork was tender, tasty and just the perfect blend of meat and fat. My recommendation, try the pickles if you have children and have fun and order the chicken or pulled pork. You won't be sorry! Service staff lost points for not resolving the tv issue at the table and disappearing for several minutes at a time while our drinks ran out.

The food is wonderful, I love the pickle flare in the cocktails and the place itself is great. The service was very poor, the waitress walked off too fast and didn't come very often. It was annoying because we came with a group for a birthday for the first time. The bartender was lovely ( we had to get drinks from the bar because it took so long) and the atmosphere is great. I will still come back, but I will get a different server

We had a very good waitress and have no complaints about OUR service. It was the rest of the serving staff we observed that caused us concern. Ie. We sat at a table and observed one of the staff standing at the end of a booth visiting with the patrons in the booth. He took a towel out that was tucked into the back of his pants and put it on the floor and then he placed his foot on the towel and mopped up the floor. All while he had his hands on the table and visited. Then he picked the towel up, folded it, and placed it right back in the back of his pants. He walked around with it there the rest of the time we were there. What else did he use that towel for? Wipe his hands, a table, a PLATE? Our imaginations ran wild. Food was OK

The ribs were so dry they had to bring us a new set. They were about 50% better. Didn't care for any of the sides offered. Tried the potato salad. It is mayonnaise based so bland, however, was similar to a twice baked potato in that it had bacon bits and lots of sour cream. The sour cream taste was overpowering. The beans (like pinto beans) were not cooked through. The sliced beef was ok but tasted refrigerated. The server and the manager both tried very hard to please us by bringing other options, but just not sold on this place. It is large and did have good bands playing indoor and out. Was really hoping for a good local bbq place to frequent.

The daily live entertainment is great. Kareoke on Friday's soloists or bands on the other days as well as drink specials make for a fun place. I found the pickle varieties to be unique, but enjoyed the pickle that was served with dinner to be the best. The pickle assortment as an appetizer is a must. I personally found the ribs to be on the dry side and the brisket sandwich had little wads of fat that was not appetizing.

This would be an excellent review if the service would improve. We've been there multiple times for their food, but EVERY TIME, the service is the same. The wait staff has been inattentive and too concerned with visiting with other employees and their phones, in plain view, than concentrating on their guests. We've been left waiting for something EVERY TIME....from having no silverware, napkins, empty drinks, and our appetizer delivered to the table next to us. But.....the food keeps bringing us back....fried brussel sprouts, great fries, bbq sandwich, pickles.

One thing I won't and can't forgive at a barbeque place is dry overcooked ribs. The brisket was ok but everything came with very little sauce and the food being so dry it was hard to compensate. Even for a neighborhood place the food is not the draw. The place looks great but with out great food I don't it'll stay around long.

If you are prepared to wait, you will eventually receive food that doesn't quite fit the price. Kid's chicken nuggets $6, they were Tyson frozen dinosaur nuggets. the bbq chicken and brisket were decent. if you like bbq sauce be prepared to pay for extra. Sides are separate and we tied three baked beans which for some reason we loaded with garlic gloves. Not good. Our favorite things were appetizers (buffalo wings and fried pickles) and we waited nearly 25 minutes for them. The host apologized for our wait starting it was shift change. We ordered German chocolate cake, which had been refrigerated and was stone cold. The frosting was so hard and the cake was dry. It took them 10 minutes to being it out. Unfortunately, we won't go back

This was our first, and last, visit to Pickles. The fried pickles as an appetizer were ok. We assumed that the barbecue would be good, since it is in the name of the restaurant. We were wrong. The ribs and brisket were dry and tough. The restaurant provided little thimble bowls for the barbecue sauce. The potato salad was unusual. The service was horrible. We will not be back.
