Piccolo Trattoria - Newtown
Another nice dinner at Piccollo Tratoria in Newtown. Brian (our waiter) is always very attentive.
Management goes out of their way to assure you are having a nice dining experience. A quality you don't see in many restaurants.
Always a phenomenal meal!
Excellent food with lots of options. Great Italian food and super service. Always like going here
It was excellent we have been there before and enjoyed the. Food the couple that we went with have not and could not say enough about how good the food was
We had a reservation and still waited 20 minutes in a small vestibule. Service was slow and they had a fixed menus. Caesar Salad was a few pieces of lettuce and croutons. Meal was good but not hot.
New year's Eve..very crowded..tables too close together
We went on NYE for dinner. There was a limited menu, prices were higher than normal, and the food was simply not good. My daughter sent her dinner back because it was not what she ordered and it came back exactly the same. Everything lacked flavor. My chicken was completely overcooked. The burrata was sour. I tried to speak with a manager but nobody came. I emailed them on their website and I haven't heard back. I understand that holidays are busy and sometimes things fall through the cracks but when a customer lets you know something is very wrong, do something to correct the problem. Remake the dish the right way, let them talk to a manager, take a little something off the bill. Nothing was done.
Food was wonderful!
The food as usual was superb. It was Christmas Eve and we had a 7:15 reservation and didn’t get seated until 7:50. It could have been sooner but they were seating people even though their entire wasn’t at the restaurant, therefore causing a delay. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive. There were only six of us and we didn’t order anything complicated. Management came over twice and apologized for the wait as well as our waiter who was fantastic. After paying our check management gave us a gift card for a future visit. We definitely will return for our usual visits, but might skip Christmas Eve.
We were there for Family Gathering. Brian was our attentive patient professional Server. The food was very good and we were not rushed which was wonderful. The decor was nice...we highly recommend!
The pasta dishes are always delicious! And, you can't go wrong with the chicken dishes. The wait service was very attentive. I would recommend this restaurant.
One out of two dishes was very good. Took too long and three "asks" to get 2 wineglasses. Very tight physically, and noisy. A number of large parties. Overall, average to good Italian.
We’ve eaten here for years and the food and service are always great.
Had the Mai-Mai Special. Fish was very good BUT served with cold vegetables! Server should be taught how to handle wine bottle and glasses. She had her hands all over where one's lips rest! Service was a bit slow and we arrived at 5:00 PM.
Very accommodating. Understood that we were with several hungry children. We showed up early for our reservation and the table ahead of us had not cleared out yet so they allowed us to sit in the front section of the restaurant where they proceeded to serve us as if we were in there seated area. Very friendly, good food, great pizza and salads and generous portions on the adult and kid menus. Would go back again.
Service was very slow, food was good but not hot, and our table was in the center and the other server bumped into my chair repeatedly.
We hadn’t been here in a while. Not as crowded as n the past. Food was very good. Staff was very friendly. Def will return.
Lived in area for 20 years. First time here. Won’t be my last time here. Great local spot. Live music too.
This is our second time at Piccolo Trattoria. We had asked for a quiet table, as we had last time but there seemed to be no way that could happen this time. It was very busy, and they had to make room for a large party in the front of the restaurants so we were put into the back with everyone else. It was very noisy and hard to hear. Service was a little slow (presumably due to the volume). Food was great, as it was the first time. Each of the meals were delicious.
Food was prepared well and servings were abundant. Service was attentive and very helpful.
Whatever you want, a little or a lot, this place satisfies. A comfort night out.
Nice local place, fast in and out, good food and service, Reasonably priced
This place was just ok. Food was a tad too salty. Waiter was pleasant.
Would definitely go back!! Food and service were great
Enjoyed the entertainment during dinner
I had a reservation that you did not honor, once again. A reservation means being seated at that time, not being told to wait for 25 minutes. Very disappointing!
I had a reservation for 2 for 7pm on Saturday 11/2. Upon arrival I was told it would be a 20 min wait. What is the point of a reservation if it’s going to be a 20 min wait? Next we were sat at a table directly behind the hostess area that seemed out of place and in a high foot traffic area. One waitress stopped by, saw we had a bottle of wine and said she would be back with wine glasses. That was the last we saw of her. We sat for 15 mins and no one came to take our order so we got up and left
amazing italian food. better to go earlier or later. gets very crowded around 6:30pm .
We had Tuna special. Very very good. Piccolo Salmon, also great. Can always count on a great meal.
My wife enjoyed her seafood portofino, and I had one of the additions of the day -- a gorgeous 16-ounce veal rib shop, grilled to perfection and served with a wonderful mushroom sauce, tiny multicolor potatoes, and perfectly cooked veg. The octopus appetizer is awesome. Service is superb.
Food was very good as usual. There were 4 of us and we had something different, from pasta to seafood, to salad. Even had dessert which I don't normally do. Everyone enjoyed the food. Waiter was a bit rude, very short with all his comments. And since it was a meet-up and we had a late reservation we stayed kind of late- surprisingly they just started turning lights off on us. Would have been more appropriate to let us know they were closing and ask if we could rap up rather than just start turning the lights off. Have eaten here several times and never had a rude waiter or experience like that with the lights before, so a bit surprised by it all. But the food was very good as usual.
Decided to go to dinner last minute and we were seated promptly. Had to wait a bit because the place was crowded and busy.
Tara jumped right in and took care of us and the food was outstanding!
The music was great and the husband/wife duo was so sweet!
Can't wait to go back
Relaxing casual Friday night local dining.
Very good food and service. Very noisy due to the large parties with small children. We will go back soon only on a weekday or Saturday night.
amazing as always! the cheese ravioli is the best i can get!
Had the manicotti and fettuccine Alfredo. Both very good. Came with soup or salad. Had the salads . Their house dressing was very good.
Had entertainment, but was hard to hear. A nice casual BYOB we go to a least once a month.
We had a wonderful meal with our friends. Service was very good.
Haven’t been in a while so it was nice to see that nothing has changed with the food and service, however they should start thinking about updating the decor. It’s starting to show it’s age.
Thank you for a delicious & memorable evening, which I shared in wonderful company!
Long time fan but last few times poor service waited 20 min for a server walked out. Seems to be a lack of servers.
