Piccolo Trattoria- Doylestown
We stopped at the restaurant on our way back from Peddler’s Village and all five of us were thoroughly impressed with the food. We had worked up an appetite and the food was great.
Everything was amazing!
We all loved it. first time for all of us and we will definitely go back.
Very nice atmosphere, good food and service! Manager doing a great job.
Restaurant is very clean inside and the food is always fresh and delicious.
The food and service were top notch! We will return.
Best to make reservations!
My wife Pamela and I love Piccolo! We have been there numerous times, brought our children, Grandchildren - Penny loves it! - and alot of our friends. When we were there Saturday eve, our friends that we were with said that it was some of the best food and service they had ever had, and they are foodies!
Thank you for the consistantly great food and service

I would have asked to cancel the entrees (prosciutto pizza, venison special, and scallop risotto) and left after seeing our appetizers (new england clam chowder, fried mozzarella, and sausage), but stayed and remained silent per request of my family.
Service seemed tense but were polite and attentive of our needs.
Mediocre food that I'd expect from a cafeteria which ended up costing me over 100 dollars. I'm just glad my family members weren't the ones paying.

Had 6:30 reservations for which we arrived at restaurant at 6:35.....we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated but the restaurant was extremely busy.
Once seated waited another 10 minutes for server to take our drink order and then another 10 minutes for drinks to be served. The martini was large and really well made very cold, loved it. My wife had a appletini which was also good.
Food was very good and portions very generous.
Server was professional but quite indifferent and not very cordial which may have been due to the restaurant’s busyness. Example we had to request for our water glasses to be refilled and then only the one individual who requested the refill was refilled without any indication the server just turned her back and left.
Overall the experience was okay just not great.
The food was very good! The service was fair. The waitress seemed disinterested and was not very accommodating. Our water glasses were empty for a while. She didn’t seem like she wanted to be there.
Very relaxing dinner. There was a guitarist playing during dinner. I had the chicken piccata and my wife had the eggplant parmigiana. She Raved that it was the best she ever had. Our server was very attentive. This was our second time dining here and won't be our last!
The service is always friendly and efficient, and the food is exceptionally good. The live music when we were there was a special treat and added an extra level enjoyment. Highly recommended!
This was the worst. We had 7pm reservations. Got there 5 minutes prior. Was told it would be a couple minutes. It was nearly 730pm and we still had not been seated. We approached the front desk several times, and was told it was just a few minutes and they were clearing the table, this happened more than once. Everyone was unprofessional and careless. The tall guy who was running the front was pathetic and didn't know how to handle anything. They even took people ahead of us that didn't have reservations. We ended up leaving and going to The Water Wheel in Doylestown where they have great food and friendly, professional service.
My wife and I had chicken and veal respectively over penne with different cream sauces. The sauces were bland (mine was “brandy cream”) and overly thickened. My seafood bisque was similarly bland and too thickened with corn starch. My wife’s margarita was watery. The Caesar side salads and the crime brûlée for desert were excellent as was the service. Tough acoustics for the guitar duo. Nice spot with obliging staff so we will give it another try on a less busy night. No recommendation for now but the place has potential.
Great dinner. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Local Favorite.
Entrees delicious, huge quantity, very good service. Best Italian food in the area.
Always a good place for family or friend brunch. My friend and I frequent here often as it right off the main road and extremely convenient. The food is delectable and has numerous choices. If you are vegan, a picky eater or just likes an assortment of different foods then this is the place for you.
The price point is fair as I feel you get a good bang for your buck.
The selection I like the most were the omelet and waffle station. They cater to your selection.
The service is provided with a smile and I love coming back because the consistency in service is the same.
This particular visit was a birthday dinner. We dine here often and have a great experience every time.
Great atmosphere with helpful service and delicious food
Eggplant parm delicious along with the fettuccini. We always enjoy their food!
The appetizer selection was amazing and the ones we ordered were delicious! We heard they had great pizza so we are going back for their pizza!
Multiple options for dining- casual in front, outside, bar and dining room in back. Diverse menu and interesting da
We had a delicious dinner at Piccolo’s in Doylestown. Our son was in from out of town last minute and we knew we would get a great meal and great service. We were not disappointed... we had a great server and enjoyed the chicken francese, cedar planked salmon, eggplant parm and gnocchi. We would HIGHLY recommend Piccolo’s in Doylestown!!!
The food and service were very good. Very nice local restaurant.
This is a great place. Everyone is nice and the food is really really good. I almost don't want to write this because I don't want it to get crowded.
In general, we had a good, positive experience. The food was good - not "great" - nice portions. The bar was out of a couple of basic items (hard to imagine how that could happen) and the waitress was EXCELLENT in how she handled the situation and throughout our meal. We would go again but weren't wowed.
Place was pretty full for a summer weekend. Food was excellent! I had the linguini with clams, mussels and shrimp. Nice menu. Looking forward to going again.
Pretty good neighborhood Italian in a strip mall in the Philadelphia suburbs near Doylestown. Pizza with takeout beer in the front, then a big nice bar, then two dining rooms behind that. The usual extensive Italian menu. Salads, Chicken Parm, and Sausages with Peppers all very good.
Waitress was great but they didn't have the reservation I made through open table. Hostess said they had no reservation for us. We were lucky they had a table open for 6 people at 5pm.
We went to Piccolo Trattoria for my birthday, which is July 4 and is sometimes hard to find a good restaurant that is open. this is a repeat event from last year. Our server, Amanda, was excellent. Since it was a holiday, the manager didn't think it would be busy, so service slowed a bit as the restaurant was totally full. We were given a free dessert for both birthday and slowed service towards the end of the meal. The Veal Saltimbocca was delicious and we even had enough to bring home and enjoy a second night.
I'm a regular customer there, and it's a pleasant surprise every time! Totally excellent!
My husband's new favorite restaurant. Food delish, great service. Can't wait to go again.
Tasteless food & expensive
We celebrated Father’s Day and the food was amazing. Our waiter was excellent and accommodating! Very pleased!
My husband w I both ordered chicken cacciatore. The only difference was that his was gluten free. I got two nice sized chicken breasts so that I was able to get a second meal to enjoy later. My husband got one normal sized chicken breast and one about half that size. When I told the waitress about the size difference she replied “what would you like me to do”. I told her we ought to get another chicken breast. She returned from the kitchen saying all portions were the same 3 ounces. Clearly this could not have been the case since my husband’s portions varied greatly in size. The waitress could have been much more accommodating since we dine here about once a month. Because of her attitude we will not be back anytime soon.
The food is always amazing! Comes out piping hot and the service is wonderful! One of my absolute favorite places to eat!
Frequent patron of this restaurant, met friends for dinner. Good food as usual, everyone enjoyed their meals.. penne Andrea, baked stuffed shrimp, penne arribata, short ribs special. Interesting short rib version, it was ok but not great. Should have stuck with my usual chicken saltimbaca. Overall a favorite restaurant
Awesome food
Food was excellent. We went on Mother’s Day, party of six with a reservation and were seated within 10 mins.
They were short on staff and had to wait longer than normal for our food, but it was Mother’s Day and no one was in a rush. Was expecting there to be a slight increase in menu price (it’s Mother’s Day), and liked the MD Menu. However, the prices were significantly higher - by almost 50% in some items.
We will definitely go again, but not for a “Holiday” event.
