The sommelier was incredibly gracious and knowledgeable. Spectacular service all the way around!
Excellent experience. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!
Delicious food! Happy to be here for NYE
We spent New Year’s Eve and Piccolo Sogno they brought their A game! Everything was fantastic. We started with the Caesar salad- which was great! Not all Caesar salads are created equally, Piccolo Sogno’s is fantastic. We also had grandmother’s trio meatballs- word of warning, these are not small meatballs! They were yummy. We had the orecchiette with shrimp which was great and the filet special which was outstanding, the sauce was especially good! We finish with the cheesecake and it was good! We live close and have been there many times and they are always good.
The food and service were great! It was very cold outside though.
We had a wonderful experience here on a snowy night! Piccolo felt safe and we had a delicious meal as always. Their pappardelle is the best!
Our heater ran out of propane, waiter did move another one close to us after we asked twice but was not proactive. Then they sat another right next to us, when there were plenty of other open tables. This table was about 3 feet away, much less than 6 feet. When we asked them if we could move, they responded that they were going to fill up anyway.. My kids got nervous so we had to wrap the food up to go. We went at 4pm to avoid this, but they did not seem to get it. Overall, the food was OK, but it was certainly was not worth the price. The waiter recommended the Branzino, which was just mediocre.
The staff was welcoming and attention to service and details was outstanding. As always, the food was amazing. Grateful to them for providing us with a wonderful Christmas Eve meal. Please support this restaurant and others. And, don’t forget to tip well — especially during the holidays! #chicagostrong
It was Christmas Eve, of course we had a res but they were really unprepared. The table we were assigned had no white tablecloth (other tables did), no nice votive candle or anything. I was expecting a nice ambiance, twinkly lights across the ceiling, poinsettias around. Nothing like that. We didn't even have a heater near our table and we had to ask for one, several times. Instead of having a heater near each table, ready to fire up if patrons were cold, they loudly dragged a heater from outside, and then as they banged it next to us, the kerosene was empty so they had to go fill it. Not really familiar with their wine list, I asked about a couple of wines, and the waiter was only interested in up selling. The salads we ordered were premade sitting in the fridge since they came out in two seconds, really cold. The rest of the food was fine. We really enjoyed PS in the past but if this is how we were treated on Christmas Eve, we won't ever go back. So many great choices, why be poorly treated.
We had a great dinner for Christmas Eve 2020. We will definitely come back. Happy New Year
great as always
Wonderful, as always!
Too cold to sit outside
Me and my best friend stopped by to get a bite to eat. She got their fettuccine bolognese pasta and I got their mushroom and truffle risotto (one of the days specials). The food came out outstanding, everything tasted amazing and their portion sizes were just perfect. I would really recommend coming here, nothing to complain about.
old school class, delicious, great service, good drinks, great wine, win win win win!
Ruben was a fantastic! Attentive but not hovering. Food and atmosphere were also wonderful!
definitely our favorite and best Italian restaurant west loop !!!
Incredible!!! Ramon was a great waiter. Food was DELISH. A must try!
The best Italian dining
Piccolo Sogno does a wonderful job serving during the pandemic. We felt safe but warm and still enjoyed our usual nice experience there!
Tony, the Chef/Owner and all staff always go above and beyond to exceed your expectations. This time was no exception - this was a special birthday occasion and the extra detail was SO appreciated. Thanks, Tony and your gracious staff for being there. My favorite restaurant in the city!!
The food was excellent but the ambiance was lacking due to the temporary tent. There could have been more decorations and nicer lighting to distract from the plywood walls. I thought there would be fireplaces.
Mushroom appetizer is a very generous portion and quite delicious!
Piccolo Sogno never fails to deliver. The food, atmosphere and service are unparalleled, even while dealing with strict pandemic regulations. Outdoor dining was cool but comfortable with heat lamps near every table. After sharing a bottle of wine, we were perfect. Still easily the best Italian spot in the city.
Wonderful large back patio, which is sheltered and has plentiful heaters. Tented area that is heated at kept at 72.
Wonderful tasty food choices and reasonably priced wine.
Great attentive service.
Ordered the rigatoni, fettuccine Alfredo mushroom special, and meatballs. Rigatoni was not even al dente, but undercooked; fettuccine had little to no Alfredo sauce and was just olive oil, wilted mushrooms, and noodles; and the meatballs lacked love and flavor. Overall everything was under seasoned and quite disappointing for the cost. I always enjoy this place and the food just came up very short.
Food and service here are always top notch — love the outdoor patio space now that indoor dining is banned again!
Food was great especially the spaghetti Neri (if you love seafood)! I would come here again.
Excellent food and service, pasta cooked perfectly
From the moment I walk in the door, I feel as if I’m entering a friend’s home. Staff
members greet us and take special care to seat us at the table of our choice. This
welcome is the perfect way to start what is always an enjoyable experience. Thank you
to everyone at Piccolo Sogno!
Great food and great service like always! The tent was warm and cozy.
Lovely service and great food.
Piccolo is the perfect spot for get-togethers with friends. I’ve been a few times now and there’s always a good crowd but it’s never too loud to where you can’t talk comfortably at your table. The service is also probably the best in Chicago, the wait staff is always so friendly and have excellent recommendations for both food and perfect wine pairings. Always an incredible meal and really terrific value for what you’re getting. My go-to Italian spot, never disappoints!
Great set up for their outside patio...plenty of space heaters for a November evening. The Cod dish was outstanding!
They did a great job to make our experience fantastic and the food was delicious!!
Sat in the outside patio! Warm and dry!
Had a great large outdoor area that nicely decorated and lots of heaters! It was a lovely evening filled with delicious food.
A beautiful patio with great food. They had heaters to help provide warmth. A perfect place for a date night or to celebrate an bday.
In COVID times, this outdoor patio is a blessing. Felt very safe, and the food was good, so highly recomend it.
Delicious food and wine. The only thing is this is the second time I’ve ma
