Love this place. Great food, great service, great wine list, great bartenders, great ambiance. My wife and I had a conversation with the owner and he was very impressive. He took care of all of his employees during Covid. Simply can't say enough about this Chicago gem.

A great Italian restaurant! We both got pasta dishes and loved them, perfect amount of food and each tasted amazing. I highly recommend getting the Funghi al Forno, the mushrooms with the pancetta was perfect to split.

The service was spectacular and our waiter suggested a great bottle of wine. It was a perfect dinner date.

Short rib was pretty good. Risotto was meh. Service was great.

The food was not good, only was dish was even enjoyable and that was the pasta dish. The duck was so dry it was almost inedible I had to constantly chase it with water. Was served 2 glasses of wine that had gone off. Server had attitude and didn’t know anything about the wines. I’ve never been so underwhelmed after a dinner.

Always a good experience. Professional and civilized without being stuffy. The food is always amazing. Easy valet. Great clientele. Seems like a quick trip to Italy.

Service was impeccable. They have a lovely wine list that isn't overpriced although I would have liked a red wine glass for my red wine. My husband really like his Caprese salad and lasagne. He appreciated their take on the lasagne and it wasn't heavy. My octopus appetizer was outstanding. Octopus cooked perfectly and the accompanying flavors melded together and enhanced the dish. The salmon was ok. After the octopus I was disappointed. The red wine reduction sauce was not on the salmon and not enough of it, too much rapini that is was to the point of distracting. Salmon was just plain grilled and overcooked. I didn't send it back because I didn't want to hold up by husband. It really needed the sauce on top. Panne Cotta was superb. Nice and light and accompaniments again complemented the dessert.

Food so fresh and good I felt I was really in Italy.

We spent New Year’s Eve and Piccolo Sogno they brought their A game! Everything was fantastic. We started with the Caesar salad- which was great! Not all Caesar salads are created equally, Piccolo Sogno’s is fantastic. We also had grandmother’s trio meatballs- word of warning, these are not small meatballs! They were yummy. We had the orecchiette with shrimp which was great and the filet special which was outstanding, the sauce was especially good! We finish with the cheesecake and it was good! We live close and have been there many times and they are always good.

The food and service were great! It was very cold outside though.

We had a wonderful experience here on a snowy night! Piccolo felt safe and we had a delicious meal as always. Their pappardelle is the best!

Our heater ran out of propane, waiter did move another one close to us after we asked twice but was not proactive. Then they sat another right next to us, when there were plenty of other open tables. This table was about 3 feet away, much less than 6 feet. When we asked them if we could move, they responded that they were going to fill up anyway.. My kids got nervous so we had to wrap the food up to go. We went at 4pm to avoid this, but they did not seem to get it. Overall, the food was OK, but it was certainly was not worth the price. The waiter recommended the Branzino, which was just mediocre.

The staff was welcoming and attention to service and details was outstanding. As always, the food was amazing. Grateful to them for providing us with a wonderful Christmas Eve meal. Please support this restaurant and others. And, don’t forget to tip well — especially during the holidays! #chicagostrong

It was Christmas Eve, of course we had a res but they were really unprepared. The table we were assigned had no white tablecloth (other tables did), no nice votive candle or anything. I was expecting a nice ambiance, twinkly lights across the ceiling, poinsettias around. Nothing like that. We didn't even have a heater near our table and we had to ask for one, several times. Instead of having a heater near each table, ready to fire up if patrons were cold, they loudly dragged a heater from outside, and then as they banged it next to us, the kerosene was empty so they had to go fill it. Not really familiar with their wine list, I asked about a couple of wines, and the waiter was only interested in up selling. The salads we ordered were premade sitting in the fridge since they came out in two seconds, really cold. The rest of the food was fine. We really enjoyed PS in the past but if this is how we were treated on Christmas Eve, we won't ever go back. So many great choices, why be poorly treated.

We had a great dinner for Christmas Eve 2020. We will definitely come back. Happy New Year
