For reservations, we ask that you arrive promptly and with your complete party so that you may be seated without delay, helping to ensure social distancing per city and state safety mandates. To further ensure safety and adherence, we will now ask guests to aid us by limiting the table times for parties: 1-2ppl to one hour and a half, 3-4ppl to 1 hour and 45 minutes, 5-6ppl to 2 hours.
We do not reserve tables in our outdoor patio. If you are interested in seating outside you can put in a request on your reservation and we will get you seated as soon as we have a table available.
You are more than welcome to bring a cake. There is a $3 cake cutting fee per person.

Starting December 1st we will change our hours of operation only Monday through Thursday opening at 5pm instead of 4pm until spring. Thank you!

I am a regular patron of this restaurant and it was one of my favorites. Last night 11/25/23 the over all experience was not great. The food was not its usual delicious dishes. This place is typically expensive but worth the money. Last night I decided that the value was no longer there. The food was just OK and certainly not worth the price. The dishes were smaller and lacked real flavor. The service was ok given it was very busy. I wish it wasn’t so. All restaurants can have an off night and it was very busy so perhaps I give it another chance but I must say it’s going to be a while until I return. I give it 2 out of 5 stars.

Excellent food and good service. Nice ambiance. A bit pricey for lunch and no value priced alternatives. I’ve been there before and will be there again. It’s a good place. valet parking at lunchtime is too expensive.

Very nice saturday night dinner. While the restaurant was super busy and a bit chaotic at times, the staff is on top of it and makes it work. Food was very good. The whole roasted Branzino special was perfectly prepared. Ricotta cheesecake was just like nonna would make.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I say this because of the chef, who always nails it and Alfredo. Alfredo is my favorite server and the combination is awesome.

We’ve been enjoying Piccolo Sogno since it’s beginning. With all the choices chicago has to offer, I can always count on the food, ambience, service (easy parking) and a friendly low buzz - never too loud to be consistently excellent. I love this place!

It was incredibly loud in there and I could barely hear anybody. The service was ok and the food was better than average. My wife really didn’t care for the halibut and my black noodles were over cooked. The seafood in my noodles were perfectly cooked. Good calimari and salad as well. Overall, was ok but talking was a challenge and it was overpriced. I’d go again if I felt it was a slow night so I could hear.

One of the best, if not the best, restaurants in the heart of Chicago! Every visit has been an amazing dining experience. It starts from the moment you enter the door as you are greeted by a fabulous host/hostess and seated either indoors in an exquisite dining room or, if you are lucky enough, outdoors under an intimate garden area filled with beautifully lit trees and flowers. The menu is spectacular offering many plates from seafood and short ribs to pastas and handmade pizza. Their wine selection is magnificent as is their dessert menu. They make their own balsamic glaze (an Italian family recipe) and it is delish with their Italian breads. Their staff is the absolute best! Many, many thanks to Ciro, Tony, Alfredo, and their staff for an ALWAYS amazing dining experience! Cheers to you!! Do yourself a favor and make a reservation to this diamond in the city that will make you feel you are in Italy!

I really like this restaurant and love the food. I have not been here during the cooler weather in a long time and I won't go back again until the warmer weather. We were seated near the kitchen and I couldn't believe the noise. The banging was crazy it was like no one cared that people were sitting right there. I get a lively atmosphere but I was so disappointed. I will be back because I love that garden.

This place is outstanding. We were seated at the worst table in the restaurant, directly next to the kitchen, where all waitstaff entered and exited all evening. However, service and of course the food was amazing. During our meal the manager Alfredo came over to check in on us. He told us to save room for dessert. The staff proceeded to bring over not one, not two, but three desserts for us, completely free of charge. It was such a wonderful gesture for the seat that we were given, that I instantly forgot about the poor table placement. Alfredo then gave us a tour of the kitchen! The food is always amazing here, but the service that we received was top notch! Cannot wait to go back soon.

We had a very bad table- next to the kitchen- extremely loud- tried to move, but they were full. Hostess, server and management all were very good so no issues with their work. Food was good, but not great-all dishes a tad off. Maybe it was a busy night and they got slammed and we will try and again but maybe wait for the summer to sit outside (beautiful patio).

Piccolo Sogno has really excellent food. We had the special Bronzino that was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. Service was pleasant and attentive. The tables are a bit close, however, and the noise level made quiet conversation difficult.

We had been sitting in a loud, cold tent for 30 minutes and hadn’t even ordered food yet. After an exhausting week of just wanting to spend time together we left without eating. The noise, cold and poor service was just not acceptable.
