   I thought the buffalo cheese app was fair. Served on mortadella. Very unusual. But flavors didn’t go well together The parpadelle with boar meat was not up to par. The branzino was very good. Cooked in salt was very moist. The desert was very average We we were packed in and couldn’t find a passage out since we were blocked by a 4 top. I asked the waiter how were we supposed to get out and he showed us a tiny walk on a step. We are 2 80 year olds and were shocked he didn’t make a path for us. We had to ask the person at the 4 top to please let us through. I was sorry I left a 20 percent tip. I will not be returning very soon if at all

   Staff was very polite and efficient. They timed our meal perfectly, and we never felt rushed (stayed 1.5 hours). The food was delicious and high quality, and the prices were very reasonable considering it's Italian food in a major part of Chicago. Will definitely be coming back.

   We got sat at 7:30, and didn’t get food until 8:45. Not just food, but SALAD. Then the other courses didn’t come until 30 minutes later. We went through our bottle of wine within the hour and 15 with no food, and no waiter, where everyone else around us had their food, drinks etc but were sat after we were. They definitely redeemed themselves by giving us a bottle of wine and a comped dessert, but i wanted to enjoy it more due to the fact that the ambiance was so wonderful!!!

   Extremely disappointing! We split a salad, and when it came out, it looked like a full -sized salad had been split in the kitchen and then the half split again to serve each of us 1/4 of a salad. My wife's risotto was decent. My sapore was not! . Too much squid compared to the other , and very little flavor. And to add injury to insult my wine was served too warm like the bottle had been sitting out for hours. We will definetly not be back!

   Had reservations and was seated right away. Even though they were busy, the staff was friendly and made sure we were satisfied with our beverages and food. Food was fresh and excellent.

   Mother’s Day brunch outside in courtyard. Food and service were outstanding. Usually my expectations for eating out on a holiday are not high as restaurants are crowded and not at their best. Piccolo Sogno proved to me that they could exceed expectations even on a busy holiday. Well done!
