For reservations, we ask that you arrive promptly and with your complete party so that you may be seated without delay, helping to ensure social distancing per city and state safety mandates. To further ensure safety and adherence, we will now ask guests to aid us by limiting the table times for parties: 1-2ppl to one hour and a half, 3-4ppl to 1 hour and 45 minutes, & 5-6ppl to 2 hours. Per the new rules, we are only able to accommodate parties of 6 or fewer. Per new guidance by the City and State, all tables will be outside and will adhere to social distancing of 6 feet table separation. Also in the event of inclement weather, we will not be able to move anyone inside. Current laws dictate that we may provide our guests with containers and bags so they are able to package their own food “to go” And unfortunately, if you have a reservation and it’s raining, we will not be able to seat you at that time.

We’re long time patrons of Piccolo Sogno and we’re delighted they were able to reopen with seating in their beautiful outdoor garden. The food, service and ambiance were outstanding, as they have always been. Highly recommend this delightful eatery for lunch and dinner.
pasta dishes were far superior to the other dishes which frankly were very mediocre compared to other places in the city. Go for the pasta.
Very nice dinner. We really appreciated the complementary birthday dessert with a candle.
Piccolo Sogno always delivers a perfect experience for both business and leisure luncheons.
This attractive restaurant has an excellent menu of mouth-watering dishes. The service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere just right: convivial, not too noisy--- just the friendly, welcome hum of conversation. I recommend Piccolo Sogno wholeheartedly.
We ended up leaving. It was ridiculous. They were running 45 mins behind on our 8:00 dinner reservation. We mentioned we had a diabetic and we needed to be accommodated and they could not have cared less. Pushed us to the side and said we will do our best. Never checked on us again. 15 mins later I asked where are we on our reservation? Answer was we are running approximately 45 mins behind. We left.
We have been here many times and we love the place. This time they were massively overbooked and we had to wait 45 minutes - it would of been longer if we had not complained. Other hthan that it was as expected.
Let’s start with how unorganized this place was! My reservation was at 7.30 and we didn’t get seated until 8! When I asked the front desk as how much longer the guy very calmly said I’m sorry we are busy and it will take another 25 min! I asked for a manager and the guy was like I’m the manager and it is what it is.
The restaurant was over crowded, super small tables, you couldn’t even fit the dishes on the table and it felt like you were sitting on your next tables lap.
The food was very medicare and under no circumstances I would recommend this place!
It was super horrible , ruined my night for every reason you can think of!
I would have had a better experience at the subway in Walmart than this restaurant!
Very very disappointed, food, behavior and ambiance !

our food was great. there were four of us, and we haven't been together since last october so their was alot of catching up to do. piccolo sogno's staff were very wonderful. they seated two of us 20 minutes beforehand. our server, juan, was attentive and knowledgeable. all in all, we had a great time dining at piccollo sogno.
Restaurant is a great place to eat. Unfortunately, not a fan of a 45 minute wait for my reservation to be seated. My experience has been that this is not an infrequent issue when the outdoor portion of the restaurant is closed during the late fall and winter time. People were very apologetic. Probably need to change your reservation process during this time of the year.
Amazing food and service. By far the best I have received in quite some time. The only issue we had was the noise level. The conversations almost echo in the main dining room so it is extremely loud.
Phenomenal food/wine recommendations and our server was very attentive to what we needed
One of my favorite places to dine. I love the vibe, the servers, the cuisine and their willingness to make an exception here and there to preparation. And let me tell you, if you love Branzino...run here and ask for it with lemon, butter and garlic with spinach and potatoes and capers. Absolutely awesome!
Service was outstanding and so was the food. They were extremely attentive. Loved everything we had including the wine selection recommended by the waiter.
My second visit and there is a reason for that. the Cornish hen was fantastic and of course the Ravioli was the reason I came back. great wine list. and the atmosphere was romantic. Rubin our server, was one of the best we had on a week long trip in Chicago. we will be back again.
Our experience was very good
Great food! Staff was quick and friendly! Would go back again!
Great service, fantastic food, extensive wine list. Amazing experience.
Service and food were excellent. The experience started from the valet and continued throughout the evening. Need to keep this one on the "places" to go and recommend.
Dinner was delicious, especially the seafood and ink pasta. Always a wonderful evening @ Piccolo Sogno.
Wonderful dining experience. Outstanding!!! Great Food, excellent friendly service!
Really food !
Good food but not as good as previous times. Server was rude and unprofessional. Did not get satisfactory resolution with Manager on duty.
Came for dinner with my sister. Food and wine were great. Unfortunately- not able to give high marks for service. I asked our waiter about the ragu, sounded delicious and ordered it . When our food came I was brought gnocchi. I informed the person who brought it that was not what I ordered and he promptly apologized and corrected my order. When our waiter finally came to check on us 10 minutes later , he did not apologize and instead told me that I in fact had ordered the gnocchi. It was loud when I ordered so possible that he heard me wrong - however - having a server make a mistake on an order then argue with me about it is NOT what I would expect from this place. I will likely be finding another Italian place to spend $150 on dinner for 2 people.
Delicious. My only criticism is that my ‘medium requested Tuna’ was too well done and not an attractive color on the plate- sort of grayish. The flavors were great.
Great food and tremendous service by Alberto and his team! Grazie mille!
The room we were in had very bright lights, didn’t feel like the ambiance I was expecting from this restaurant. I also ordered a pizza and it was cold. The veal on the other hand was spectacular.
Always good, always attentive. A happy default when we are making plans with friends and family. And, the hosts are incredibly efficient.
The food and wine were excellent. Our only discomfort came from being close to a busy corridor. The noise level increased with the evening and the amount of wine served.
Still, it was a very good experience and we will certainly return.
Great risotto special with the bolognese sauce! Lovely lunch and not too crowded.
Great service started our experience from being seated promptly to getting water quickly to being asked about drinks and finally answering questions and taking the food orders. The menu was varied and unique. Or particular dinners were prepared well and flavorful. They remembered our anniversary by writing this around the plate of the dessert. Just wondering though, what if we didn’t order dessert, how would they have acknowledged it? Regardless, a nice night out despite the cold rainy weather - the valet service helped.
Always a great place to come for really solid old school Italian food.
I come to Chicago 2X a year for a trade show and Piccolo Sogno is always the first reservation that I make. They also have an extensive list of Italian wines by the glass or bottle at reasonable prices.
Probably my favorite Italian restaurant in the city. Amazing Branzino.
Server was not tentative or friendly.
Doesn’t happen often here, but our order got lost in the shuffle and took 40 mins for 2 pasta dishes and a brick oven pizza to come out. Oddly, we sat down at 5:30 before the rush, which made it all the more puzzling. No mention of apology or offer to pick up small dessert.
Good service, the staff was friendly and cared about us all the time. Raviolis are awesome
It was a nice experience! Completely worth it!
This was our second time there. We live out of town, and enjoyed our first dinner here (last November) that we made sure to go back on our next visit to Chicago. All of the food is excellent, and the service is exceptional. It’s become one of our favorite restaurants anywhere, and we’ll try to come back whenever we return to the city.
Very nice dinner and service was excellent.
Excellent place, outstanding food and great service. Love it and planning on coming back.
