Piccolo Restaurant of Huntington
A "faithful" crowd stays true to this upscale New American-Italian in Huntington, which "deserves its reputation" for "superb cuisine" spanning "delicious pastas" to "phenomenal meat and fish"; the "top-notch" service and "intimate" setting will "make any occasion special", but make sure to reserve ahead because the cozy "close quarters" fill up fast on the weekends.
Received the "Award of Excellence" from Wine Spectator in 2018.
$25 corkage fee on .750ml (we have a great selection of fairly priced wines)
$4pp cake cutting fee.
All of our desserts are baked daily by our pastry chef. If you would like us to make a personal cake for your special occasion please call for details.
Mark the bartender is amazing and makes you feel like his most important customer. George the Waiter is very classy and love the way he “rolls” his “R”s as he pronounces words within the specials. Food always amazing!
Loved the spaghetti squash parmigiana! the service is relaxed, efficient & friendly...great night out!
Food and service. Top notch..one of Long island's best..
Bread basket is terrible. We said it was a special birthday and they never acknowledged. Over cooked veal chop. This restaurant has gone down hill the last few years
This is a storefront, so-called "Italian" restaurant which charges far more than it's chef deserves. A sickly sweet vinaigrette on the halves of two canned artichokes does not a $15 salad make. The poor fresh pasta is drowning in a sea of heavy seafood cream sauce. EVERYTHING, excluding my husband's crab cake, was drenched in what ever sauce the chef threw at the plate. Also, bay leaves are not edible so, come on, take two seconds and remove them from the Bolognese before sending the dish to the table. The only reason I can see for this place on the outskirt of town existing for so long is that the residents of the area have more money than time and would put up with almost anything not to deal with Huntington Village traffic and parking. At half the price and because it is in a convenient location, I would consider returning (sauce on the side, please) but at these prices I expect much, much more and so buona notte Piccolo.
Always a lovely
Experience at Piccolos. Great
Food and amazing staff. They always take such good care of you!
One of our favorites because we know it will be great every single time. Food and service excellent - I only wish they were bigger so we could get a table any time we wanted!!
Food and staff were amazing but took over an hour to be seated even with a reservation.
The service was extremely slow. It was Friday night and at the end of the work week it was daunting as we sat for an hour and fifteenth minutes before our appetizers were served.
Not as good as it should be.
The pasta and seafood was fantastic!! It was absolutely lovely and classy, aside from a few people who clearly had one too many drinks at the bar (on a SUNDAY NIGHT!) That ruined the romantic feel a bit. I saw a couple next to us was also interrupted by two loud (tipsy?) guests wanting to chat it up during their meal but they took it in stride. You could tell everyone was trying to make up for the loud patrons by focusing on the great service and fine dining. We will definitely come again, but only when it's during the day and calmer. C'est la vie.
Not the usual piccolo
Absolutely incredible meal as always at Piccolos. It is always an especially enjoyable time when George is there. By far the best restaurant in Huntington Village.
Always a great dinner at Piccolo's. This occasion however, the food was not as delicious as usual. Hopefully just a one time glitch!
It's always a pleasure , food, service are perfect.
The word class says it all the staff is the best and the meal was amazing
We have been going to Piccolo since it open over 30 years ago. It never disappoints. Service is excellent. They don't rush you. On a weeknight there isn't as much noise.
Consinstantly best service and food in town. I like the cozy atmosphere
As always, piccolos is a pleasure to dine at and the most delicious food.
I absolutely love this restaurant from the staff to the food to the ambience . They are very accommodating and it’s a wonderful restaurant that I go weekly . I was so touched I wanted a special dinner from another night and the chef actually made it for me . I will continue to bring as many family and friends there as possible it is a great restaurant! I have never been disappointed and I’ve been going there for over two years now !
My friend recommended this restaurant to me and my family (kids 8 and 9) for dinner. The staff was so warm and friendly upon arrival and none of the vibe you sometimes get when you eat out with your kids. Granted we ate out at 5:15 because we were hungry and exhausted. The waiter who had clearly been a part of the restaurant for a long time, treated our children sweetly and made them feel comfortable.
My husband and I had two different salad choices, all dressed perfectly and fresh and yummy. For entrees, we each had a different pasta - white clams linguine, pasta alla vodka, spaghetti with meatballs and seafood fra diavlo-which I asked for extra spicy (no problem)! The waiter offered 1/2 portions for our kids, which were the perfect size. I tried everyone's meal and everything was delicious. Four "happy plates" (that means empty in our family) at our table. We didn't have dessert because we decided to go downtown and have ice cream. When we left around 7, the restaurant was getting very busy. One particular note...I hate when I - as the customer - have to move aside for staff in a restaurant. The staff should defer to the customer. In this restaurant they absolutely do, every single member of their team, with smiles on their faces! As it should be. Excellent experience - food and service. Lovely classic restaurant atmosphere.
Such a great meal! And it was the perfect time to go because it wasn’t too crowded
Delicious food and wonderful service.
Highly recommend to anyone.
A little loud
When made reservation they asked occasion and said they’d arrange a special something ..they didn’t do anything
The best staff the best service the best food. Love dining at piccolo
Food was delicious and fresh! Staff was impeccable and attentive.
What a wonderful evening. Service was on the money! Truly an enjoyable event. Food is always my favorite.
Wonderful as always
All four of us ordered Pork Chop a la Toomey which is a huge plate sized pounded center cut pork chop. Very tender but kind of flavorless, we felt, based on the leftovers we brought home and sampled the next day. When I prepared the leftover pork chops for dinner two days later, I added smashed garlic, sliced red pepper, sliced onion, and three sliced red cherry hot peppers and, wow, what a difference. Put all on top of some gemelli and escarole and heated until the mozz. on top of the pork melted. Really better than what we ate in the restaurant. Chef should take notice of jazzing up this good entree.
Really nice special occasion restaurant as well as locals who always enjoy eating there. Waiters are very professional but don't "hover". We will go back.
Short Rib Cannelloni was excellent.
Outstanding restaurant. Always consistent... You can never go wrong. Very attentive staff. Bar area is always very tight. We will certainly be back.
Delicious food and very accommodating. Very pricey drinks. 35 bucks for a glass of cheap wine and a scotch at bar while we waiting for a table.
A belated Vanentines dinner for many. The mozzarella & tomato was excellent. The pear salad was very good but the cinnamon in the pear was overwhelming. The chicken and veal parm were large portions and also very good. For dessert we had cappuccino, lava cake, and the apple crisp all of which were excellent. We were seated promptly when we arrived at 6:45and received a good amount of attention but within the hour the place filled up and it became increasingly difficult to get the attention of our waiter. When we did, however, he was friendly, funny, and informative about the menu. The tables were set up almost to close in two's for the holiday. We will definitely return.
Food was outstanding. Service was great. A bit pricey, but wife declared it is her new favorite restaurant.
I thought Piccolo was great...excellent service, food very good. THe only reason I gave the food 4 stars instead of 5, was because there was a bit of sand in some of the mussels. That may not of even been anyone's fault, and I don't hold it against them . I will definitely give them another visit in the future
The food was fantastic, and the service was second to none. Jeremy, our server, provided 5 star service throughout our dinner. Nothing was an oversight. As if the food and drinks weren’t excellent enough, he was the frosting on the cake. After dinner, we made our way to the bar where the service was equally as excellent. We will definitely be back.
Seems like there’s a new Chef. Fist time 2of our dozen oysters were not good. Service was very good, as usual
Our absolute favorite restaurant. We live 45 min away and still try to get in at least once a month. Our favorites for appetizers are the burrata and coconut shrimp. For entrees, we like the duck and their pasta specials--specifically when they do the browned butter gnocchi. Love the tiramisu for dessert. Such a great atmosphere and always great service. Highly recommend!
