Piccolo Restaurant of Huntington
A "faithful" crowd stays true to this upscale New American-Italian in Huntington, which "deserves its reputation" for "superb cuisine" spanning "delicious pastas" to "phenomenal meat and fish"; the "top-notch" service and "intimate" setting will "make any occasion special", but make sure to reserve ahead because the cozy "close quarters" fill up fast on the weekends.

From the service to the food, everything was horrible. All of the food was disgusting and honestly not even edible
After a stressful day I really appreciated the friendly and efficient staff and the delicious food served. Perfect evening.
Everything was ok to even fairly good, but the entrees were unacceptably overcooked. We took about a bite each of our duck and halibut. The server came to take them away and asked if we wanted them boxed. We said no and he never even bothered to ask us if we enjoyed our meals, etc. We had fun in general as the cocktails were good, the service was amiable if not good and we were happy to just be out. Unfortunately, we will likely not return. Too many better options in the area in that price range.
Good food but horrible service not in with the quality of food. Our meals were served cold and the waiter never came back to check on us. Took 25 min to flag the waiter down just to get the check.
Really disappointed given the cost of our meal
Outstanding day in and day out. Love this restaurant. Home run
Loved it and will be back
Love the outdoor space, nicest tent set-up in Huntington. You feel like your in a dining hall, big and warm room with chandleer's and beautiful fabric ceiling. Well done!
Sea bass was off the charts!!
Exceptional service, great ambiance and delish food...I didn’t like the sauce and they exchanged it for garlic and oil happily...I rarely order marinara, so it was probably just me being picky....I haven’t been to Piccolos in years, but it was just as wonderful as I had remembered ...I’ll be back
I have never written a review for Piccolo, though I have been there many times. I was actually prompted to write this review due to a complain, though -- in fairness -- I need to acknowledge that Piccolo is one of my favorite restaurants in Huntington.
First, the good. Service is friendly and attentive. The food is always well prepared and presented. It's a comfortable but energetic room. They have many traditional dishes, but also many interesting preparations.
Normally, i would have given all 5's to Piccolo, but last night I ate there and ordered a salmon dish. I specifically asked the waiter before ordering whether the salmon was wild or farmed, and he said it was wild. Well, when it came it was obviously farmed (farmed salmon doesn't hold the orange color and cooks to look almost like a white fish).
This is unfortunate. It's not a cheap restaurant. For what they charge, it should be wild. And, this should be something the waitstaff definitely gets right when a customer asks.
That said, still a fave!
As a native of Huntington, Piccolo has been one of our favorite hidden gems for many years....It is always fabulous and they are always welcoming and kind.
Excellent all around . Our table was on the other side of the bar so a little noisy .
Had the 1/2 plate Fra Davilo it was amazing and perfect for one person.
The food was outstanding. Our service was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
Best restaurant in Huntington.
We had great food and outstanding service which made celebrating my bestie’s bday more special. Another incredible evening at Piccolo’s.
Posting some pictures of the delicious fish special for the evening, and the best Linguine and white clams on Long Island.
Treat yourself to Piccolo’s.
Piccolos has been a long time anniversary and birthday favorite. Quaint setting, and amazing food. The veal chop flahtery with spicy vodka sauce is always our favorite, but all the great specials make it hard to decide each time. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw they added a large outdoor dining in back with heat and a fancy chandelier. We Will definitely be back soon.
Requested menus 3 times before receiving one. Same results for wine list. We were never sure who our server was. When we were served another table’s food, the server removed it from our table and then delivered it to the correct table...hmmmm? Salmon dish was ok. Returning soon??? Probably not.
Two unsatisfactory entrees. Branzino dried out and tasteless. Veal dish the same. After many years of excellent food and service, we were extremely disappointed!
Another awesome meal from the best Huntington has to offer!
We always have a very nice time at Piccolo. The service is excellent and the food outstanding. We will definitely be back.....again!
Great food and great service.
Best restaurant in Huntington! Amazing food and great service!
Always our first choice and always excellent. Aside from the beautiful, warm indoor dining rooms, Piccolo's has a stunning tent with the highest quality air filtration available. Add in the chandeliers, draped silk across the ceiling and decorative plants to the first-class food and service, it's yet another way to experience the excellence of this restaurant.
Food as always was great. Very disappointed in service and lack of
Hands down, the Best venue in town!!
Food was outstanding and service was even better. We will be back!!!
I have been going to Piccolo for over 20 years. The food is consistently excellent, as is the service. It is wonderful seeing familiar waiters such as George, who treat us like family, and Dean who runs outstanding restaurants including Piccolo, and Mill Pond among others over the years. We go there for most special occasions and are never disappointed.
Food was very good & service was pretty good also.. definitely would go back
Love this place!
Good food, Good staff, Good time. Cost was on the high end.
Perfect, service, food, attention. ...............
Piccolo’s is a staple for us in Huntington to enjoy a divine meal. A place where the food, the service, and the charm all come together to create incomparable, unforgettable experiences. Disappointed we didn’t take pictures of our food again to share with you but we were so in the moment just enjoying. Filet mignon covered in a sweet barbecue sauce was so good. My appetizer of choice, clams oreganata. Five stars, never fails to impress.
Wonderful food and attentive service. Will definitely be going again!
Overall everything was good. The only problem was that the waiter did not write anything down and brought a few wrong things.
the menu is quite extensive and the daily specials were more than other restaurants offer on a regular menu.
A nice meal -I think they have done a great job utilizing the tent for seating
Planned a night out for my wife’s birthday. Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance . Arrived at the restaurant and was brought outside into a tent . No mention during the reservation or when you show up that this is a option. The place was at capacity inside and this had nothing to do with covid and social distancing. For this occasion I wanted ambiance as well as good food . I was extremely displeased as I was expecting a zagat rated restaurant for my wife. The manager could careless that I was unhappy and even told me the tent was “nice” . He was confrontational and unapologetic. Nothing was done to make it right , nothing offered . The tent was cold and I felt like I could of just went to a Diner on Veterans. Oysters were fresh , baked claims were sub par, braised short rib was tender, cold antipasto was average. I had the revolting mule to go along with my revolting experience. I would of left out of principal if my wife wasn’t starving. I will never return .
My husband took me here for my Birthday. It was absolutely a perfect evening. The food, drinks & service were outstanding.
Look forward to returning soon.
Love the coziness and local vibe. Everyone knows everyone. It’s really nice, and the food is always DELICIOUS!!!
