There was such a warm, friendly and welcoming vibe at Piccolo Mulino. It was such a pleasure being there. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. We will be back for sure.
Wonderful evening- delicious food and excellent staff made our celebration perfect!
The food and service at Piccolo Mulino is exceptional. Very nice quiet patio.
Excellent been going for years! The service and their outdoor space is beautiful.
What a lovely setting for outdoor dining. On a patio away from the street with lovely bossa nova music. Tastefully decorated with flowers and other plants and a very tasteful meal to enjoy and savor.
This place is great- food is excellent and fresh-
Beautiful patio in back- perfect place -service great
Great outdoor space and really good food.
Overall we had a great time. We had outstanding service! The food could have been better but it seemed like a slow night. Am I running back there to dine again? No. Did I love the sangria and, if in the area, would go for apps and drinks? 100% YES!
Great, authentic Italian cooking with well executed standard dishes and several interesting unique ones.
The pasta was delicious; this is a hidden gem.
The ambiance is fair but they are still wrestling with the aftermath of COVID.
If they maintain the quality and get more traffic, they hopefully can do a facelift.
The outdoor patio is wonderful. The service is always great as well as the food.
Met two friends for dinner in Piccolo Mulino's outdoor garden/patio both for the food and the opportunity to feel safe eating out, post vaccination/pandemic and knowing it was going to rain that evening, we knew that the garden was well covered but beautifully ventilated. We were delighted with the experience. There were a few other tables being served (it was a Tuesday) and the service was excellent. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We sat through a major thunderstorm and continuing rain and the air went from warm to a beautiful cool breeze. There are large fans and ceiling fans as well. The parking lot behind the garden was a great find as it is covered and leads directly into the restaurant patio, so we didn't have to get wet walking back to our cars. It is a metered lot, but the meters stop at 6pm, the time we arrived. It is a small lot, but there is plenty of parking in the community as well. Great evening!
Lovely surprise for delicious Italian classic dishes with seating in outdoor fully covered patio a plus for those still concerned about indoor dining. Enjoy!
Love this place. Eat here a lot!
The covered patio is heavenly. In pouring rain, we dined in comfort, felt we were outside, had fresh air, yet were sheltered. The food was delicious and the staff was the best imaginable. I will become a regular!
Really enjoyed the outdoor space, good warm bread/butter, yummy hearts of palm/avocado/arugula salad, entrees, excellent service, and highly recommend the Tiramisu!
The back patio is fully covered and is decorated with plants and lights so the ambiance is so lovely. The food was absolutely delicious - all the shrimp dishes were a 10. Loved our waiters too.
Arrived and they failed to tell us the kitchen was short staffed. Waited for 90 minutes never was served our entree. The waiter basically hid from us the whole time. When I got up to leave I saw the kitchen making for for take out and not the 5 seated tables all waiting for their food. What a waste of time. You would think post pandemic they would want people eating at the restaurant but I guess not.
I liked it. Pleasant outdoor area with good service and food. I plan to go back with friends over the summber.
Dinner with out of town guests
Amazing food and service. I’d go back for any special occasion
Always a great experience. The food and service are amazing. The outdoor patio is the perfect atmosphere.
Everything from service to food was terrific. I would definitely be going back!!!
Great all around classic Italian.
Their outdoor setting is wonderful. It is in back of the restaurant on a patio with a wood and plastic covering. Soft music is playing. Other restaurants that do outside dining use the street as their outdoor dining with traffic right next to the tables and only some dividers between the tables and the cars, trucks and buses passing by. We think this is unsafe and unhealthy. Several of these outdoor places have had traffic run into them with people getting seriously hurt. There are some restaurants that have dining off the street but in front of the restaurant building. This is ok if these outdoor places don't have a lot of traffic passing by. Piccolo Mulino is the best in our area for outdoor dining . The food and service are both top notch.
As always, good food and good service. I hope things pick-up so they can add some of their excellent specials.
Great food and one of the best staffs in Westchester!
My hubby Johnny walks regularly, (something I NEED to start too 😉 ). He has been telling me about a little restaurant he passes by on "the Avenue" in Mamaroneck on his walk. They have a menu outside that he checked out. While his daughter, Crystal was here visiting from Texas, we walked the Avenue a bit, and we checked out the menu. I was pretty impressed. Well, we don't go out to eat much, and we got our stimulus money, so tonight we splurged and had dinner at Piccolo Mulino. I had a glass of Montepulciano and Johnny their finest Diet Coke. We started with Asparagus Parmesan as our appetizer. (We wanted the hot antipasto for 2, but we knew it would be too much) I had the
Salmon & Shrimp
Sautéed with spinach & Garlic in a cherry tomato Sauce Served w/Pasta or Veggies...Veggies being my choice (EXCELLENT!)
and Johnny the Three Seasons-
Veal, chicken, shrimp, mushrooms & fresh garlic in a seasoned brown sauce. Served with pasta or house vegetables...pasta Johnny's choice. Johnny almost went with the Chicken Scarpariello....one of his faves BUT VERY HAPPY with his choice! LOVED the sauce, the mushrooms and the veal so tender. Our Waiter/Manager, Wilson...was a pleasure!! This restaurant has been in Mamaroneck for 22 years. It has survived (so far..) the Covid Pandemic and sadly, I just read it's owner, Victor Zhinin, did not. Rest in Peace Victor...from what we have just experienced, your restaurant is carrying on your tradition of hard work, GREAT food, and EXCELLENT service!! ❤ ❤
Attentive wait staff, amazing food, overall terrific!! Will definitely return !!
Excellent food and service. Nice atmosphere. friendly staff.
We loved it. Old school. Good food. Attentive waiter.
Warm welcome, gracious service by manager. Intimate, friendly, casual. Nice local spot, good value, nice wine. Amazing new backyard covered garden -bigger than the restaurant itself.
great food, very good service, interesting people next to us to talk with.
Great Italian Dinner. We ordered Chicken Parmg. Portions were huge and glass of wine was very generous. Had Hazelnut chocolate cake for dessert, so delicious. Service was superior. The decor could use an update, but everything else exceeded our expectations. We will def. be back!
Our dinner on Saturday evening and service was as usual excellent. There was one table occupied during the time that we were there which along with the soft music playing made our dinner very nice. The entre was more then we could finish so it was packed up for us and we made it our dinner the following evening.
As to that other couple, the man is a very well known movie actor who lives in our area and has appaired in well over 100 movies including one of my favorites of his that he was in titled "Amos & Andrew. A few years later what happened to this actor in that movie actually happened to the host of the PBS program "Finding Your Roots" and in a near-by area of the same state.
Everything was beyond fantastic ❗️
Freddie the waiter was amazing........
Top Shelf from beginning to end.
Thanks for having us.
We will definitely be back.
