Piccolo Fiore - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
We've been to this restaurant several times in the past 3 years, as it always had exceptional food and service. We'll, the service is still quite good, but it seems the menu has been reduced substantially. In addition, while the food ( in this case, chicken parm) was okay, it wasn't at the level of the past. It didn't give us a reason to want to go back anymore.
This was my third visit and will be my last. The service was rushed and rude. The greenbeans looked like they were from a can and the mozzarella tasted off. This is what happens when you go out to eat on a Monday night.
The ambience is what made me a repeat customer but its not enough. The tables are space nicely and you can have conversation with others at your table without screaming.
If I didnt know better, I would think they are going through management change..
I was a bit disappointed in Piccolo Fiore. The mozzarella appetizer was served with very underripe tomatoes. The chicken parm enter may have been a frozen chicken patty. My friends had the veal and really liked it. It wasn't very crowded so that made me wonder about the reputation. Given there are so many fantastic Italian alternatives in that neighborhood, I'd take a pass.
I have been here before. The service was great. The appetizers were great. The main course find not live up to expectations. My Pasta was cold. Friends steak disappointed her. Veal Marsala was good. Desserts were fine. Probably will let it rest awhile before I go back
Always a pleasure to dine at Piccolo Fiore whether it be for lunch or dinner. One of our party is vegetarian and she raved about the pizza marinara. Eggplant parmigiana was thinly sliced with an excellent tomato sauce. Everything we had was excellent. Prices are reasonable as well.
After reading reviews for this restaurant, I was disappointed. I came with three other people. The three of them ordered pasta dishes which were OK but not great. I ordered the special fish of the day. It was on the borderline of disgusting. . It was supposed to be stuffed filet of sole with shrimp with an interesting tomato sauce on top. The fish was very thick and not well cooked and there was one piece of practically raw shrimp inside.
We were very early arrivals, consequently there were few others there dining. We were able to chat leisurely to our hearts' content and were not at all rushed by our server. The food came out beautifully presented, at the same time for both of us, and was hot & delicious. Couldn't have asked for more. I'd go back there and would recommend the place to my friends who love delicious Italian food.
