Piccolo Arancio Ratings and Reviews
Vegans can do very well at Piccolo Arancio! They have great Vegan Soups ... all of their Vegetable Bean Soups are Vegan. YES! AND they are excellent. They have a Roasted Portabella Mushroom that is wonderful... just leave the cheese off... they make dynamite roasted and sautéed veggies... and most of the salads are easily "veganized". My favorite salad is the roasted beet salad... So, if you are vegan, you have nothing to fear and much to look forward to!!! Thank you, Sal and all the great chefs at Piccolo Arancio!!!
Mary was and always is the best server for the family. She knows what we like and takes care of us. Today was my dad’s bday and though he passed Mary brought us a cake w a candle. We loved that. The food and the atmosphere was excellent as always. Best restaurant in Farmington.
The portions were very small given the price of the meal. The food was under seasoned, so we all ended up adding pepper, salt or grated cheese (what we had on hand at the table). A member of our party ordered Fettucine with lobster and he literally was searching for the tiny pieces of lobster in the dish. The chopped salad was tasteless. The seafood sampler appetizer was very small. Our server could have advised us that there would only be one Of each item on the plate as we ended up having to order a second dish for our larger party. We were placed next to a table with younger children. Not that this is the fault of the restaurant, but the children were watching movies on an iPad at full volume. It really made it difficult for conversation at our table and was annoying for a Saturday night. There was plenty of room in the restaurant, a different table would have solved the problem.
Service and pasta excellent. House salad was below par, greens not crisply, a little wilted. Dessert expensive but worth the money, cannoli fresh . Although linguine and clams were not on the menu the kitchen did make it for my wife. It was excellent, my homemade fettuccine was the best but a little light on the lobster meat.
We have gone to Piccolo Arancio for years. I have always loved the simply grilled salmon and order that normally. I have recently decided to try a vegan diet. So, I spoke with Russell , our server, and designed a vegan entree. It is delicious! The portabella mushroom without the cheese, and sautéed vegetable medley and sautéed spinach! Yummy! Piccolo Arancio is always so accomodating to any dietary need... so, whatever your dietary preferences, try Piccolo Arancio!
This restaurant has sophisticated Italian cuisine. We started with a signature salad of field greens, asparagus, warm beets and gala apples in a walnut vinaigrette. Our entrees included pumpkin ravioli with sage butter and seafood risotto. Both were delicious. We complemented our meal with a reasonably priced Ferrari Carano Fume Blanc.
We went out to celebrate a friend's retirement and we wanted it to be special so we chose Piccolo Arancio - a very special place! The NEW Retiree got the halibut and it looked fantastic! I had just started a 3 month trial of being a vegan, but when that entrée arrived at our table I REALLY WISHED I had waited another week so that I could have had that fish! It looked fabulous! As I watched her eat the fish, I was jealous!!! But, my vegan meal of sautéed spinach, roasted portabella mushrooms and mixed vegetables was delicious and I was very happy with my entrée! So, you can get VEGAN at Piccolo Arancio... so, if you are a Vegan and haven't gone to Piccolo Arancio yet, do not fear... you can have a Vegan Meal fit for a King or Queen!! Piccolo Arancio is very accommodating to its guests. So, vegan, vegetarian, paleo-an, or otherwise, you can find a marvelous meal, tremendous service and fine wine here!
We've been enjoying meals at Piccolo since it opened 22 years ago and have never been disappointed. While the menu has been substantially the same over the years, the chef offers a number of daily specials which continue to add variety to the choices. The service is always efficient and friendly, as it was on this occasion. We believe you will always have a fine meal and pleasant experience at Piccolo Arancio
Friday Night dinner for just my husband and I. This is our Friday night standard date! It is a great tradition that we have! Piccolo Arancio is so very customer service oriented, it is an extreme pleasure to dine here among friends!! Everyone on the staff is our friend! It is a wonderful feeling - sort of like the television series "Cheers" where everybody knows your name. If it is your first time dining, the staff will be just as friendly and accommodating. The food is marvelous, the wine is wonderful, the service superlative... you can not miss! So, come and eat among friends!!
We are celebrating our nephews new adventure as he’s moving to California! It was the perfect spot to celebrate! The service was sensational, the food was fabulous, and wine was wonderful! From appetizer to desert! Piccolo Arancio knows how to do it! We recommend trying the salmon and the risotto!
Monday, Monday!!!!! Great option for Monday dinning either for lunch or dinner! One of the very few good restaurants open on Mondays!!! It is THE BEST restaurant option for Mondays in my opinion!!! You will get great food, great service and a great time! Try it on a Monday and then go back again for lunch on a Tuesday through Friday, or for dinner on Tuesday through Saturday. One thing I am certain of, you will go back again and again!!
Dinner was divine! The beet salad if one of the best salads I have ever eaten in my whole life! My husband believes that the brischerr cannot be beat anywhere! The simply grilled options are simply sensational! Being able to have a dish that is very healthy and very delicious is a real treat! If you're interested in excellent wines, the wine list here many options for you. We highly recommend this fine restaurant to you.
We started labor day weekend without laboring over a hot stove or a hot grill! We went to this fine dining establishment to have a kick off holiday meal! I had the striped bass. It was the special of the day and it was absolutely yummy! I highly recommend it if you see it on the specials again. It was extremely fresh and done to perfection. My husband had when linguine with meatballs. That is his absolute favorite. You won't see it on the menu, but it's a variation of one of the dishes. So if you happen to be a fan ofmlinguine and meatballs, ask for it. We were off to a good Labor Day weekend! It is a good way to start any weekend!
Friday night dining with my husband and it was wonderful! His bruschetta was exceptional this evening! His meatballs were very light and tasty! My beet salad was scrumptious with warm beets and light lettuces and walnut dressing! The simply grilled salmon is the absolute best salmon in the world!! We highly recommend this fine dining restaurant to you!
Dinner for two while coming down from a busy vacation. While we went out to eat at some grand restaurants, only ONE matched Piccolo Arancio for quality and service and flavor!!! That was Waterfront in Sister Bay, Wisconsin!!! I highly recommend both restaurants to you!

The staff is so friendly and welcoming, the pace is relaxed, the food is fantastic on every front and in every category! From appetizer through dessert there are wonderful selections to choose from! And the wine list is extensive! So, try this restaurant if you haven't yet. I believe you will love it! We do!!!
Piccolo Arancio is a gem! Fabulous, high quality, tasty food prepared exceptionally well! A pasta lover's paradise with so many options of house made pasta varieties served with many different sauces! One of the signature dishes is raviolis with an orange sauce- talk about unique! Another signature dish is ossobocco that people rave about as being the best that they have ever had! I love their simply grilled items! There is something here for everyone to love! I recommend Piccolo Arancio highly to everyone!!
