Piccola Trattoria Ratings and Reviews
A really great dining experience. I consider this restaurant to be the best of the two or three fine dining spots in SCV. Could be the best Italian dining experience in SoCal. Excellent service and delicious, true classic Italian anti pasta, salads, entrees and deserts. I felt like I was back in Italy the moment I stepped through the door. Grazie Milli!!
We took another couple - it was her birthday. As always the service and food were exceptional. We started with the Misticanza Salad, then we had the sea bass, Spaghetti alla pescatora, Mezzeluna di Crostacei, and the Capellini al Pomodoro followed by dessert - Spumoni, and brown butter blackberry tart
This was our second visit to this restaurant, and it very good. Unfortunately, the special I wanted was already gone by 7:15 pm! Everyone was very happy with their choices. I would say though the monetary rating was incorrect. It is shown as $$, where as it should be $$$ easily. We will be back for other special occasions in the future.
Family-owned restaurants are far and few between in Santa Clarita! It’s well worth the commute to spend at evening at this fine Italian establishment- the pastas are perfection and the wine list is impressive! Enjoy an old-world meal here with friends that will not break the bank but still make your Italy an grandma proud!
Was here about 8 years ago and knew that it was a place I wanted to take my mom from out of town. She is a foodie ad hates franchise restaurants. The potato, fennel, herb soup was wonderful. The shrimp and scallop ravioli was one of the best meals I have ever had. My daughters had the mussels and a ceasar salad and both said they were yummy. Our waiter Luca was fantastic. For the five of us dinner and 3 alcoholic and 3 non-alcoholic beverages it was about $130.00. Worth it!
Piccola is a real gem. Tucked away in a somewhat obsurce location, it is a real treasure that one stumbles upon with great delight. We love the food, the staff and the service. One of the best Italian restaurants in all of Los Angeles, and hands down in Santa Clarita Valley. A wonderful Italian family runs the restaurant and many of the waiters are from Sicily or other parts of Ityally. But, the real treat is the wonderful and real authentic Italian food, deserts and reasonably priced wine and overall menu. Fresh ingraidients and nice vibe. This is the real deal for people who know or want to know what great Italian food is, with great variety too. You can pay at least 50% more for a more upscale Italian place in Los Angles with maybe slight better food.
I've left enough reviews there is nothing else to say. If your looking for a quiet romantic evening out maybe not here. But if you enjoy a lively, energetic place with EXCELLENT food and service this is THE place! Oh and don't forget the desert menu. Always and outstanding experience.
As always the service and food was great - we each had a glass of wine and shared the special salad and my friend had the Linguine alle Vongole and I had the Capellini al Pomodoro. It was our birthdays and we each had Sicilian Cannolis. Always a great place to have a quiet dinner and discuss business or celebrate a special occasion.
It's a favorite of my family and quite a few friends. In fact, with the dearth of excellent restaurants in Santa Clarita, it's on the short list of excellent restaurants. Family owned and staffed by family members of the owner and friendly staff. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Plus an nice wine list.
Best Italian restaurant, best restaurant in general. We have been to Piccola's restaurant since they were a simple deli because their food is unique, authentic, and delicious; and service is outstanding. Beef carpaccio, negroni(s), buccatini with meatballs, and cannolis add up to a most flavorful, satisfying, comfort-food dinning experience.
