I have been going to this restaurant since it opened and have never had a less than great meal there!
I don’t know how it took us so long to discover this little gem. Really creative and excellent food.
Ate at the bar by choice. Loved my food and service was good.
Delicious, best mussel special appetizer ever
Everything was divine!
We enjoyed our meal very much.
One of my favorite restaurants in New Jersey! Service is impeccable and the food is A++.
This was our first time dining here as we were in the area for a conference. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, service, and quality of food. It is one thing to read the reviews and another thing entirely to experience it for yourself. Definitely going to make this a return trip next time we are in the area.
Amazing recommendations given by waiter. Everything was amazing
I have been here for dinner numerous times with family and friends and it never disappoints. Fresh, creative, authentic Italian and the pasta dishes are exceptional. Chef Brian takes the time to come to your table during your meal to check in and ensure everything is to your satisfaction. Service is exceptional and the Wine List has a good variety to suit everyone's taste. My friends live in Asbury and were delighted to find this gem for future visits!
Everything about our night together was perfect!
The food, settings, and John our server!
This is why Piccola Italia is our favorite!
Food is always delicious!!! Service is great. Piccolo Italia is set back in the corner of the Cobblestone Village Plaza, this is the best kept secret in Ocean Twp.
Food was delicious- service was extremely slow, we had to continually wave our server over. It took 20 mins just to get a menu and a drink. Went out to dinner to have a relaxing evening with friends but was aggravated most Of the time instead. We will not go back to Piccolo- very expensive restaurant to be begging for service for two hours.
Heard so many great things about this restaurant so we were really thrilled to finally try. It didn’t disappoint - great ambiance, creative food, great wine selection. and good service
We have frequented several times over last few months. Food and service was good. However, an updating on the menu would be helpful
Drinks were good main courses were all good .The Caesar salad was terrible, the service was very good.
Second time there. Very good. Service was a bit off and very slow albeit very friendly.
Just an amazing place...a hidden gem of Monmouth county
Piccola Italia never disappoints. When we are looking for an elegant meal in a casual setting, we always go to Piccola Italia and sit at the bar...or in the bar area. There are no better restaurants around IMO...anywhere.
I have never eaten here before. I was looking for a quiet place to have a business lunch. I appreciate good food and service. Our lunch was at 1:30 so it was later than most lunches. Piccola Italia is in an out of the way shopping mall. This makes it potentially difficult to find.
The food and service were astonishingly good. We shared the delicious calamari that was beautifully presented and exquisitely prepared. Both of us had the venison medium rare over garlic mashed potatoes garnished with a potpourri of vegetables. I cannot describe how good the venison was.
There was little or no noise. We were able to converse and hear each other. The only noise was the sounds of our rapid fire knives and forks.
Unfortunately it was not a great experience. I booked through Open Table but the restaurant had no note of my booking. When I showed them my confirmation I was told that the manager doesn't bother with open table as they prefer bookings to be made by telephone. However they found us a table. The special lunch menu shown on your site was not available, so we ordered from the main menu. We ordered the same starter, garlic mushrooms, but they only brought one. Said they didn't realise we wanted two. As there were two of us at the table surely they should have questioned that at the time. By the time the second starter was served the first one was already finished! We were very disappointed. It was a special lunch to get Christmas off to a good start! We will not be going again. Thank You.
In a word, fabulous. We were a party of six and everyone loved the entire meal. The food is of the highest quality, and there were plenty of options on the menu to choose from. Service was very professional and unobtrusive. Kudos to the chef and staff for a wonderful meal and evening!
It takes a long time to get aCocktail
Fantastic as always. The people are great and the food is even better. We came for a date night in December, and they remembered us from when we had our Baptism gathering here way back in April. I had the best sirloin I have ever tasted, and my wife had the scallops. Both were done to perfection. I would gladly return for all of my special occasions and then some.
Excellent, creative cuisine. Absolutely delicious. A true, neighborhood gem.
We were visiting the area and came upon this restaurant through Open Table. We were very pleasantly surprised. We dined very early and were met with a warm welcome and a tasty amuse bouche. It got even better from there! The food is imaginative, flavorful and made with local ingredients. Our favorites were the “loaded” potato soup, the house special seared scallops and the Nutella crepe brûlée. The staff is professional and courteous. The dining room is tastefully decorated with colorful artwork.
The entire dining experience was enjoyable. We’ll definitely be going back.
The Sea Bass special was outstanding. We split the Ortolano Salad; the Goat Cheese and Walnut Vinaigrette was delicious. Braised Veal Ragout was good. Robin, our server did a great job and I highly recommend this restaurant.
We will be back! The service was fantastic ...we were treated with 1st class service. The food had creative combinations and was delicious!
Food was gourmet quality, as were prices ($$)
Popularity would increase if the menu prices decreased. Over priced for a neighborhood restaurant.
I've been dining at Piccola for many years. The original chef, Brian, became the owner several years ago, and expanded and it got even better. Wonderful, creative food, great service, everything one could want.
Delicious one of the best meals I ever had. A little pricey, so I need to go only on special occasions.
Celebrating my husband’s birthday at Piccola Italia was a wonderful experience. It was our first time here. Our server, Robin was attentive and personal. Starting g with appetizers through the main course and dessert, each was a culinary delight. The chef came out to introduce himself and offered us a complimentary white port wine after dinner drink. We highly recommend Piccola for your dining pleasure.
Excellent meals. We had the pork chop Milanese, shrimp scampi, sea scallops, and duck. Loved it. Wine was also very nice. Had apple crumb and gelato desserts-- great. Everyone very attentive, although our waiter seemed a little inexperienced.
Great dinner-love amuse bouche! Nice touch! Excellent local option.
The food was amazing. The scallops and the fig salad and buratta ravioli were so delicious. We can't wait to go back!
The food was just outstanding. Two of us had the rigatoni entree which was amazing and the other two in our party had the pork chop and buratta ravioli. The service was fast and attentive. We can't wait to go back! Definitely a spot I would bring family or friends for a special occasion.
Piccolo Italia is one of the finer Italian restaurants in the state. The food is prepared with great care by a very talented chef. I started my meal with the homemade burrata which was incredible. My main course was Veal Ragout with homemade pasta. Both were enjoyable. Looking forward to my next visit to try another dish on the menu.
six of us got together for dinner, I had the Claims Claims Claims its several different types of claims in a lite butter sauce over pasta. The claims are super clean and fresh. This dish was so good 3 of the 6 of us had the same dinner. My wife had the Tuna special and it was very good. The chef comes out to check on how you are doing, The staff is very good, they are there to help you and see that you have everything you want with out hanging around . Looking forward to going back soon.
