About Piccola Cucina - Miami
Piccola Cucina is coming to Miami with Philip Guardione’s Cusine. After working in lauded restaurants across Europe, and Piccola Cucina New York, Guardione chose Miami Beach, in Espanola Way to open an intimate restaurant inspired by his homeland of Sicily. Walking into the restaurant is like stepping into a jewel box. The subtle, elegant décor lets the vibrant tastes and colors of the food and wi...ne shimmer and shine.
After a few years focused entirely on traditional lunch and dinner menus, the native Italian team at Piccola Cucina has expanded their hours, converted from a restaurant into an osteria, and refocused their menu. Rather than stop by every so often for a robust meal, the small-plates, seafood focused menu allows for more frequent tastes and sips.
Piccola Cucina is more than a dining destination; it’s a trip to Sicily.

Piccola Cucina - Miami Ratings and Reviews
Unfortunately, we were expecting a delicious Italian food, but the vegetarian risotto taste so bad with no flavor on it and the fish of the day was just plain without any special taste. The side dish was quinoa and also was with no flavor at all!!!
We chose it because we liked the menu, but now we know it was a bad option.
And last the price to pay was very high for such a bad meal!!!
Disappointing food and service relative to the NYC restaurant. This location on a very touristy street does not help, either. Cheesy music being played loudly is a major turnoff, as is the staff member out front who is soliciting those that walk by. Just a far cry from my expectations, having dined in NYC multiple times
We just happened to stumble across Espanola Way and was intrigued at it's charm.
We let our waiter, Nicholas, suggest a wine and ordered the calamari appetizer. The wine (A nice Sicilian red) was perfect, and the calamari ensalade was amazing. We ordered their specials - lasagna and seafood pasta. Both were a culinary delight. Best lasagna I have ever had! (Sorry mom). Their tiramisu and creme brûlée were quite yummy, too.
Both our hostess, Elena, and waiter were so personable and genuine.
I recommend this wonderful place to anyone seeking a true slice of Italy. And allow them to make suggestions for you. You will not be disappointed. I just wish they would open a place in LA!!
With so many options for dinner in Miami Beach, this was a nice find. There are lots of Italian restaurants in the area, but this one served more authentic cuisine. The food was good, but not great. It was nice to sit at the outdoor table on a cool evening and watching the people walk by on Espaniola Way.
