A trip to Piccola Bussola will remind you of mama's home cooking both in quality & quantity. With oak paneling, stained glass wall sconces, tones of beige, & forest green & cinnamon carpeting that creates a comfortable ambiance. Our handsome bar is a great place to enjoy a drink before you are seated at this popular restaurant.
Chef Felix Girasaki, from Peru, started at La Bussola (our sister restaurant) in 1982. He was trained by owner Pasquale Lubrano, & is now the chef at Piccola Bussola. The wait staff is totally professional, & many of them have been with the restaurant since it opened.
All the selections on the menu are served family style on a platter rather than a plate. Desserts are as large as the entree selections! Our tiramisu is believed by many to be the best on Long Island. Wines are reasonably priced with an excellent house Chianti available.
A steady clientele of devoted regulars, & families that enjoy casual dining, make Piccola Bussola a favorite.

This is our favorite restaurant by far. The food is consistently excellent/outstanding. Service is attentive and always accommodating. The staff will do anything to make sure you are happy . We love it.

Food and service were very good and they have a decent choice of reasonably priced wines.
Only thing that was off was on how diners were seated. Despite the restaurant being no more than 25% full during our mid-week visit, they bunched all of the diners together rather than spreading them out.

Service was slooooow,waiter forgot some of the correct order. Restaurant should stop take out orders and concentrate on the seated guests.

While the restaurant was very business, and for good reason, my group never felt rushed or ignored. The food was excellent and the owner, John, made a point of greeting not only my group but apparently all the other patrons as well. Truly a very satisfying experience.

our reservation was for 7 people at 7:15, we were not seated until 8:00 p.m. Since is was restaurant week, I'll give it a pass. The management was kind enough to take off our bar bill while we waited. Once inside the food was so delicious. Service could have been a little bit better managed. They ran out of one of the deserts we asked for too. I would give this restaurant another chance only for the fact that the food really was so delicious. It was also priced nicely, not over priced.

Waiter Henry was excellent....

Started with Baked Clams and Arugula salad

Entrees consisted of Pappardelle Bolognese & Baked Ziti both smalls. Perfect size. Go large if you want lunch for the next day. We also got a side of escarole & beans....slightly under-salted but aside from that food was excellent.

Desserts we got to go because we were stuffed. Italian Cheesecake and Tiramisu....delicious

Good restaurant, overall. Halibut was OK not great. Veal chop was very good, though I would have liked the peppers and onions chopped a little finer. They were huge chunks. Lobster ravioli was underwhelming. Ricotta cheesecake was amazing. Would go back.

Always great family style Italian food, served by knowlegeable wait staff. This visit, the only negative was waiting for a table for at least 15 minutes past our reservation time because a large table had to be vacated and the broken down into four smaller tables.

Food and service was excellent. Small family owned restaurant, John, the owner greets you and seats you. Food is not greasy. Had the sole and chicken scarp, friend calamari and fried zucchini for appetizer. Pastas are also nice and aldente.

It was a busy New Year's Eve night, yet we were seated promptly and the service was great. The food was delicious. Everyone in our party of 8 was pleased with their meal choice and all would return to eat there again. Thank you!

We had a lovely family holiday dinner at Piccola Bussola in Huntington. There were nine of us (four generations of mothers and daughters) ranging in age from 88 to 3 and everyone had a wonderful evening. We were greeted warmly, and those who arrive early were made comfortable at the bar to wait for the stragglers. The service was impeccable; our main server was personable, knowledgable of the menu, and very helpful helping us to decide how much food to order for our group. He was spot on with his advice and pacing of our meal. The others who helped our table were excellent as well.
The menu is extensive and our food -- from salad to dessert -- was delicious and clearly made with fresh, quality ingredients.
I would recommend this restaurant for couples as well as larger groups and have already told several other family members to visit. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

We went Saturday night for my dad's 80th birthday. There were 11 of us and we had a great time. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! Our server was great - he did not rush us one bit, was very friendly and personable, checked on us multiple times during the meal, before the meal...gave us ample time to order. Everyone enjoyed their meals - 4 of us had the seafood risotto and it was delicious!
It was a wonderful night - my dad was so happy (he did not know ahead of time where we were taking him) as he has eaten there before and really enjoyed it. Thank you for making his birthday dinner so special.
