About Piccola Bussola Ristorante - Huntington
A trip to Piccola Bussola will remind you of mama's home cooking both in quality & quantity. With oak paneling, stained glass wall sconces, tones of beige, & forest green & cinnamon carpeting that creates a comfortable ambiance. Our handsome bar is a great place to enjoy a drink before you are seated at this popular restaurant.
Chef Felix Girasaki, from Peru, started at La Bussola (our sister restaurant) in 1982. He was trained by owner Pasquale Lubrano, & is now the chef at Piccola Bussola. The wait staff is totally professional, & many of them have been with the restaurant since it opened.
All the selections on the menu are served family style on a platter rather than a plate. Desserts are as large as the entree selections! Our tiramisu is believed by many to be the best on Long Island. Wines are reasonably priced with an excellent house Chianti available.
A steady clientele of devoted regulars, & families that enjoy casual dining, make Piccola Bussola a favorite.

We went Saturday night for my dad's 80th birthday. There were 11 of us and we had a great time. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! Our server was great - he did not rush us one bit, was very friendly and personable, checked on us multiple times during the meal, before the meal...gave us ample time to order. Everyone enjoyed their meals - 4 of us had the seafood risotto and it was delicious!
It was a wonderful night - my dad was so happy (he did not know ahead of time where we were taking him) as he has eaten there before and really enjoyed it. Thank you for making his birthday dinner so special.
Worse fried calamari I ever had. Batter on it was thick and tasteless. We were a party of six. Pastas were over cook and mushy. My husband and I ordered a family style veal dish. Serving was so small we went home hungry. There was no favor to it at all. No one in our party enjoyed their meal. We will not be returning!
Fantastic Italian Restaurant
What a wonderful meal we experienced this evening as part of Long Island Restaurant Week! The menu was full of many wonderful choices. We arrived for our 6 pm reservation for 6 Adults and were promptly seated. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. I had the Fried Calamari Appetizer, The Veal Parmigiana over
Spaghetti Entree and the Tiramisu for Dessert. The portions were plentiful.The food was cooked to perfection.We will definitely be back!
The food is excellent. Italian food is comfort food! We love our waiter Victor and followed him from another restaurant. They also serve my favorite dinner drink, Lillet, which many restaurants don’t serve. Food, alcohol and great service. What more can you want?
Was a wonderful evening with friends. We arrived early and enjoyed well-made cocktails. Galileo made sure we were well-taken care of throughout the evening (as John L. had a rare night off!), and Freddy provided great service. Food was prepared perfectly. Again, a wonderifle evening!
My first time with someone who's family dined there for years...food was outstanding, George/Jorge did an excellent job of being attentive without hovering...love the family style concept...we shared a salad, 2 small entrees, dessert and a bottle of wine...portions were perfect...fine dining without spending a fortune...I was visiting LI from Kansas City for a few days, had several nice meals, Piccolo was by far the best considering the quality of food, service and ambiance....can't wait to get back!
This restaurant looks dirty. While we dined we had a fly and a fruit fly flying around our table. It was warm in the restaurant and the waiters were sweating while they were serving us our food. I got sick to my stomach shortly after leaving the restaurant Saturday night and as of today, Monday I still have a stomach ache. The eggplant parm looked like it was made with pre breaded eggplant from Costco and had no taste. The restaurant was quite busy with an over the age of 75 crowd. I will never dine here again.
As usual, a nice dinner outing. We were a party of seven. A wide range of entrees and appetizers were enjoyed by all. My sister in law asked for a special preparation of swordfish (blackened) and the chef delivered a nicely done dish. She was ecstatic. We were there Monday, and they have 50% off on wines. NICE VALUE. Special note re Freddy or waiter. His service was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Everyone went home well fed and happy !
I travelled from Scarsdale to visit my father who turned 86 last week. We've dined here before and food and service always top notch. Our party of 5 absolutely enjoyed every dish that was ordered. Plenty to choose from all delicious and plentiful. We look forward to returning soon.
