Picasso - Bellagio Ratings and Reviews
Food was average or slightly above average but was far too expensive for what you got. Service was spotty. At times it was good and at other times had to look around and motion for more water or the waiter. Very much overcharged for the value received. I would not recommend.
The food is excellent and the service is spotless. The wine pairing, however, was disappointing: Unlike all other places where we opted for wine pairing with the food, Picasso does not give you paired wine (or anything) with the dessert. If you want something, you order it - but that costs extra. Considering the high price of the pairing (we opted for the better, more expensive one), they should give pairing for the dessert, too. The sommelier was very nice and knowledgeable - he would definitely find good pairing for any of the desserts on the menu.
Beautiful food, beautiful service, beautiful evening. We were seated beside the window overlooking the fountains which could not have been more lovely. He had the pre fix menu w a couple of delicious Old-Fashioned. I had the Menus Degustation w the upper level wine pairings. Could not have been more pleased. If going as a couple, definitely get two different menus because there is plenty to taste and enjoy! The foie gras and roasted pear with a beautiful caramel muscat was perhaps the best thing I’ve ever eaten! If you are looking for an incredibly romantic spot surrounded by beautiful things, you cannot go wrong here.
Not an inexpensive evening out, however, at $600 all in including tip. Worth it for a very special evening.
We were very happy with this wonderful meal. My wife ordered the Pre Fixe Menu and I ordered the Menu Degustation with the wine paring. Each dish was it's own wonderful piece of the evening. The amuse bouche was a wonderful introduction to the evening. The Pan Seared U-10 Day Boat Scallop was one of the best scallops I've ever had. Foie Gras also wonderful. Main Lobster Salad pairing was a memorable in taste, but I'm afraid I forgot the name of the wine. I chose the halibut which had a nice, but slightly salty crust for my taste. The dinner was more expensive than our usual Vegas meal, but worth the extra money for a sedate evening with the Bellagio fountains in the background. Special thanks to Robert, who master who managed our meal with quiet attention to our wishes. Looking forward to our next meal at Picasso.
Picasso has slipped since the days of Wynn. Very sad. This used to be our #1 favorite in all of Vegas. Our beloved sommelier Robert is also gone. The young man filing his shoes was nice, but ignored my wife's request to avoid white wines for her dinner pairings. Picasso did give us a BEAUTIFUL table right by the window and sent out a wonderfully decorated dessert that said "Happy Anniversary". Both very nice touches. Several men from the patio area would come over and stand right in front of our fountain view to smoke cigarettes everytime the fountain went off. So, the table was great - the view of their backsides - not so much. I kept hoping the restaurant would keep them away from there. No luck. We also used to LOVE the fresh baked breads that were brought by table side throughout dinner. They did offer bread, but it has clearly lost its artisan flair. I used to really enjoy that there was a dress code at Picasso. The web site says it still exists, but the numerous tables with people in sweat suits and sloppy casual attire really made a dent in the ultra classy style that used to exist. It feels a little more like an MGM version of an upscale Chilis. I still LOVE the fountains, and the view from Picasso (minus the outside smokers) is wonderful.
We found food, service and venue worth every dollar we paid. Did not order anything from wine list, just cocktail which was perfectly fresh.
We chose to be sitted outside (they have heaters) so we enjoyed the Fontain but missed inside decor...
Another reason to come again!
