My sister and I were visiting Hershey to attend a concert at the Hershey Theater. Trip Advisor rated this restaurant highly and we found the positive reviews to be spot on! We were seated promptly per our reservation, service was friendly, and the quality of our meals was authentic and excellent. We had the chicken parmigiana with pasta, and chicken piccata with risotto. The only negative was the very high noise level (the place was packed). But we would definitely go back for the food the next time we’re in the area. Reservations recommended.
We were seated in the 'extra' area off of the main dining room...which was fine until half way through our meal (about 8:00) when the room was re-arranged to make room for a soccer team and their parents or an ice hockey group or some large group...the re-arranging was not pleasant and the group who came in were loud and we were anxious to leave.
Enjoyed our dinner very much. We were seated in the sun room, at our request, and it was perfect for conversation and privacy. Will return soon.
Our service was poor as was the server’s knowledge of soup ingredients.
My soup was so salty I had to add water from my glass to make it edible.
The gf Caesar was lacking.
The restaurant has good Italian food, which is hard to find in Central PA. The gluten-free options are exceptional. The service this time was not good at first, very slow. Another server noticed and chipped in to help so the service improved significantly.
Phenomenal! I live in a town with a lot of great Italian restaurants and Piazza surpasses them all by miles. Celiac safe
Excellent gluten free options!! Excellent waitress- so attentive and thoughtful. Casual place. We went back the next day for lunch
Here for a conference and am so tired of only having salad as a gluten free choice. Today I am so happy. I haven’t had pizza in over 10 years because of my celiac diagnosis. Piazza Sorrento made my dreams come true. It totally wowed me. James, our server, was delightful. I had a lovely evening and enjoyed every morsel of my meal. I highly recommend the pizza but don’t stop there. The ravioli is to die for as well. This place is the answer to a Celiac’s prayers. Thank you.
Food was fabulous and wait staff was outstanding. The dining room was a little too noisy to hold a conversation. Was amazed at the Gluten-free options and the genuine care that the wait staff showed to my Gluten-free needs. We will be back!
Was in town to visit the Hershey Theater and booked a reservation at Piazza Sorento. I was very pleased with the food and service. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely fantastic! The Shrimp crostini were to die for! If you are in the area, I highly recommend this restaurant, but strongly encourage a reservation!
We are from South Jersey but were in town to see a show at the Hershey Theater. We almost missed the restaurant as it is attached to a Turkey Hill convenience store (which I was thrilled since I love Turkey Hill iced tea and we don't have TK convenience stores in Jersey). The place was pretty busy for 5pm on a Saturday and we were seated right away. The place is very cute. There are plenty of choices on the menu and apparently there are specials but our waiter never told us them (or the people who sat behind us later so I guess he didn't feel the need). Would have liked to have known them as they are not printed out and given with the menu. Overall we were pleased with the food and would go back again if we are ever in the area.
The food is consistently good. Have gone here several times over the past year. The service was outstanding.
Great food; a bit noisy around us with 2 large groups.
All food items were delicious and served at appropriate temperatures. One minor glitch - when our waiter cleared the salad plates, I reminded him that we did not have the rolls yet. He apologized and immediately brought them to our table.
Pizza is super good. Pasta is good but think it’s a little over priced for what it is.
The place was amazing. My only complaint was the Bruschetta was not that good.
The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, all the pasta was hand made as with the desserts.
Will go again if I'm in the area again.
We continue to frequent Piazza Sorrento for the authentic Italian food and awesome, cozy atmosphere. The food is incredible and has never let us down. This is by far our favorite place to visit in Hershey!
It was delicious as usual. Love the food here!
Highly recommend. I am regular Italian and gluten free and they have a dedicated gluten free kitchen! Food is fantastic
We went there on valentines Day. Excellent food! Excellent service! No long wait. And it was very busy. We will be returning there often.
My wife and I came for Valentines Day dinner. Piazza Sorento’s was where we had our first date. We’ve returned on several occasions to celebrate our anniversary. There was a menu with specials. I got the crab cakes and my wife got the salmon. Both were really good. Our server was excellent. Highly recommend dining here.
Have a lot of great gluten free options. The waitress was very kind and attentive to our needs. Great service.
Delicious food. highly recommend the grilled gnocchi. Think the restaurant is a little overpriced.
We drive an hour for their amazing gluten free options!!! Totally worth the drive!
Great food and amazing service!
One of our go to places for a consistently delicious meal, quality service and reasonable prices.
My husband told me after we left his cheese ravioli was dry on ends.
This is one of our favorite restaurants! The worst part of the meal is deciding what to choose.
This is our favorite spot for Italian food. Love everything about it!!
Great food and extensive gluten free options that are very tasty. I've been here on three separate occasions and have not been disappointed other than them not having the GF tiramisu any of those times. I drive 45 minutes to dine here and will call next time to make sure they have the tiramisu! The seating is a little tight and the noise level is a bit loud, but the food makes up for it. My non-GF friends really enjoyed their food as well.
Everything was delicious, service was awesome!
They have a really nice GF menu including GF Pizzas!
First impressions mean a lot: this restaurant is physically attached to a gas station. I nearly kept driving when I saw it, but we had reservations. I was looking for a pre-theater dinner option for my mom's 60th birthday. Piazza Sorrento is ranked as the #1 restaurant in Hershey on TripAdvisor. I have only ever visited Hershey for the theme park or the medical center, so I had to trust online recommendations. If this is the #1 restaurant in Hershey, I don't want to see what the others look like.
The food was acceptable but not worth the price. It was no more impressive than Olive Garden but with worse salad and bread. The separate dining areas are trying to be a fine Italian restaurant but it is really a bar and take out pizza place.
Our server was attentive and new the menu and wine list well. He also handled the busy dinner crowed with ease, despite narrow passage between tables.
The price just does not match the food quality or ambiance of the restaurant.
I am gluten free and it was so nice to be able to order dinner with no complex explanations. The bread was delicious, my pasta was delicious, and the dessert I took home was excellent also! We will definitely be returning!
Great food and great service!
The service was excellent and the atmosphere was good. The lasagna was way overcooked and was mushy. But other than that the experience was good. Great bread.
The food and service is always excellent! We love the owner and he always comes out to check up on us :)
Wonderful food, friendly and knowledgeable service, great selection. So many things on the menu look tempting that it's hard to decide! Butternut squash-filled ravioli and carbonara both exceeded expectations and far surpassed similar dishes we've sampled elsewhere. Excellent tiramisu.
We had a great meal. Food is homemade and delicious.
Prices are very reasonable for such high quality food.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
