Delicious food and great service
My Grilled salmon was overcooked, dry, even crispy, Neither the server nor manager, although informed, did not offer to rectify. I left a 17% tip, I should have left less. $170, including tip, was a high price to pay for an unappealing entre. Entre’s for others in the party were enjoyed.
Restaurant had an excellent gluten free menu and the food was wonderful. Service was not so good and it was very noisy. We were a party of 4 & could hardly hear each other. I would try the restaurant again because the food was so good.
We are Hershey locals haven't eaten here for a long time. We decided to give it a try again. Don't know why we waited so long to come back. EXCELLENT food and service. We will be back for sure. This is going on our frequent visit list. Great job Piazza Sorrento!!!
Very happy with the selections. Nice variety. Will be back!
Food was delicious. Great place to go for any occasion.
Always tasty! We love the pizza shop and the restaurant too! Service is great!
It was very cold in the restaurant as we sat by the windows. Otherwise the service was great and the food was amazing (as always).
Our favorite Italian restaurant in Hershey. Great standard menu and weekly specials, generous portions, good selection of Italian wines by the glass or bottle.
We have passed the restaurant for a long time but never stopped in. When searching for a new Open Table restaurant that had a menu with gluten free options we were pleasantly surprised to find they had extensive number of GF options. Gave it a shot and loved the food and ambiance. Will be bringing the kids back next time.
Good food, but overpriced. Lobster Ravioli was disappointing as it was muted with excessive onion and shrimp in the sauce - detracted from the lobster. Cannaloni was OK, good taste and texture, but overpriced for what was provided. Been coming here for years - food is always acceptable and service is great, but feel it has lost its edge as the “go to place” for special occasions. $100 for three people for dinner and desert, no drinks.
Food was exquisite! Service wonderful! I love that my best friend has so many gluten free options.
We dined at Piazza Sorrento on 12/30/17. Immediately upon entering, we knew we had picked the right place. It smelled so good inside. We checked in with the hostess who was super friendly. They were ready for our reservation and we were seated quickly. It was cozy inside. We enjoyed a corner booth for our group of 5. The calamari appetizer was great as was the warm bread. The kids enjoyed the burger and pasta/meatballs. The adults enjoyed the Lobster Ravioli (2 orders) and Chicken Marsala. All tasted fresh and was delicious. We will definitely recommend this to friends and will return when in the area again.
Our waiter was not well trained. He didn't bring the bread until he brought the main course. I ordered penne pasta for my six year old son and he brought spaghetti and still charged us for it. Another patron was arguing with the owner about leaving a curtain closed to block the cold air. They had to take the argument away from the other patrons! No manager circled though to ask how we were doing! My lobster ravioli was great though!
Always good! Already have our next reservations. Love the variety.
Food was good. The chef accidentally forgot to put cheese on my salad but that was easily remedied. We couldn't get a large pizza in the dining room area. That was disappointing. Pizza was good but not great. Salad was very good.
Return visit. Solid experience. Crab cakes were amazing; large and meaty. Squash ravioli in sage butter sauce was good bit a bit bland. Needed some brown sugar/nutmeg or cinnamon. Thought prices a bit high for Italian.
Very nice dinner and experience. Our waiter was attentive. We enjoyed a few appetizers and then dinners and coffee. Food was plentiful and flavorful. Each meal comes with choice of salad or soup. Everyone was pleased with their meals. Good value and very pleasant evening.
Really really delicious. I enjoyed everything. Prices are steep for the portion size. But the food was absolutely delicious. Asked about which sangria was best and they said “we have a white and red sangria” but the menu showed multiple others... kinda odd. But red sangria was yummy.
We were in town for a concert and decided to give Piazza Sorrento a try . So glad we did...excellent food, good service. A real find. We will go again if we're up that way.
Excellent place for lunch. Good food and good wine. Server was busy but attentive. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was very good.
Incredible food, good wine and excellent service. Jillian was an outstanding server and added to the evening. Can’t wait to go back.
Service and food were great! A bit pricey but delicious either way.
The food and service were outstanding. We love coming here. One of our favorite places to eat.
We dined at this restaurant a year ago when we were in Hershey and had to come back. Jillian was an outstanding waitress, food was amazing, and would definitely come back. It was hard to choose from their menu, along with their nightly specials, but we should make an effort to return more often to sample more of their menu! Outstanding, and their reviews don't do the food justice!
Piazza Sorento is one of our go to places. The food is always good, and reasonably priced. Cocktails are very good too. We often get seafood there, which I did this time. I had a very nice sized portion and nice presentation of halibut. I like risotto which is often available. Definitely recommend.
OUr first time here was 5 years ago. We couldn't wait to come back! We went on Friday before the TSO Concert and it was everything we had remembered! I ordered the same thing I had the last time we went and it was just as good!
Our party was warmly greeted and then seated promptly. The server was professional, very friendly and interactive. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The food order was accurate and nicely presented. The salad was refreshing and the pizza was very good---crispy and covered nicely with toppings. Beverage was refilled appropriately. This was not my first visit and I plan to return to try other menu choices.
It is THE restaurant for gluten free. Otherwise, just ok. Very convenient to the Hershey Med Center.
Our monthly dinner was, once again, perfect from start to finish. Sharon, our server, was delightful, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was conducive to conversation at a normal voice level. We have already made our reservations for January!
Excellent food. Always a great experience.
We decided to try Piazza Sorrento for date night after the Italian restaurant we originally planned to go was booked and we’re thrilled we did! Amazing food, great wine list, we had a really nice server too (Alyssa). Would highly recommend!
Food and service was good not excellent, waited 40 minutes to be seated with a reservation.
Excellent food and service. A full gluten free menu which helped our friend who has gluten allergies. Appetizers and entrees were superb. Customer service is great! The gluten free options tasted wonderful. Highly recommend.
We make a trip to Hershey every year for the holidays and make Piazza Sorrento part of the tradition. It’s a local gem (not a chain) that takes pride in their food and service. Their gravy is some of the best I’ve ever had. The crustini is the best appetizer on the menu to get started. I would also suggest the House red. All around great food!!
10 of us ate at Piazza Sorrento before a recent show at Hershey Theater. We all enjoyed our food - pizzas, eggplant parmigiana, lobster ravioli, fettucine alfredo, etc. Our waiter Ben was great, and handled the large crowd without a slip up! We sat in a long table in the back which was cozy without feeling cramped
Enjoyable dinner before a show. Server got us in and out on time. The salmon was delicious.
The gluten free options were what got us in the door. After having a meal we are both hooked. As we left we discussed the entrees we would like to try in future visits. We live over an hour away.........its WELL worth the drive.
Service was great. Gluten-free options were plentiful & tasty. We were not rushed & it seemed to be kid-friendly. Highly recommended for gluten-free options.
