Our 2nd time at the restaurant as we were staying at a hotel in the area and wanted to be able to walk to dinner outside the hotel. We made reservations in and when we arrive our table was not ready. The hostess was pleasant but, maybe a little awkward. We were seated within 5 minutes our waitress was very pleasant. The menu had a great many offerings and we were told that all the pastas (except one or two) were made onsite. We all chose pasta meals. 2 of us had the sampler, one had the pesto and one had the papradelle. All were quite good. We also had a bruschetta for an appetizer which was really nice.
All in all, a very pleasant meal and will definitely return when in town!
Solid Italian restaurant. Quality food at reasonable prices with excellent service. Pastas are made fresh in house and you can tell. Good pizza too. They keep the restaurant looking fresh and very clean which isn’t something you can say about everyplace. Recommended!
Group of four, with two eating here for the first time. Each person ordered a different entree-Pappardelle Bolognese, Lasagna, Italian Sampler, Genovese Pesto Pasta-and we recommend all four. Salads were fresh. Rolls were delicious. The only slight concern of the meal was having the entrees show up before everyone was finished with the salads. Our friendly waitress Cassidy checked several times that our various food dishes were meeting our expectations. Two shared a slice of chocolate cake with peanut butter icing topped with chopped peanut butter cups-thumbs up.
Poor hostess service. Refused to give us a booth when we even had a mid week reservation. Dinner was not even busy. 6 empty booths while we dined!!! Erg!!!
The food was excellent, in spite of the fact that I requested pasta instead of risotto and did not get pasta. Rolls were hot and delicious, chicken marsala with fresh asparagus was really good. Glasses were constantly refilled without having to ask. Desserts were yummy too.
The wait time to order was a bit excessive but expected since the restaurant was busy.
The menu had a good variety of options. Pizza and chicken picatta were wonderful. Attentive server.
The meal portions were a little small for the price and it was extremely cold in the restaurant
I had the sausage cannelloni and it was super good. I would definitely get it again. The service was friendly, accommodating, and attentive. I took my 2 year old grandson and it was fine.
It was okay. The waitress was obviously new. She needs more experience.
Read the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to try it out with my husband and young granddaughters on our recent stay at Hershey Lodge. Great find! Great food, fair prices and excellent service! Highly recommended!
Always an amazing dinner every time we come here! The food, atmosphere and staff are always so great! Thanks for another great meal!!!
Great place for gluten free! Staff very knowledgeable and accommodating for gluten free.
My sister and I were visiting Hershey to attend a concert at the Hershey Theater. Trip Advisor rated this restaurant highly and we found the positive reviews to be spot on! We were seated promptly per our reservation, service was friendly, and the quality of our meals was authentic and excellent. We had the chicken parmigiana with pasta, and chicken piccata with risotto. The only negative was the very high noise level (the place was packed). But we would definitely go back for the food the next time we’re in the area. Reservations recommended.
We were seated in the 'extra' area off of the main dining room...which was fine until half way through our meal (about 8:00) when the room was re-arranged to make room for a soccer team and their parents or an ice hockey group or some large group...the re-arranging was not pleasant and the group who came in were loud and we were anxious to leave.
Enjoyed our dinner very much. We were seated in the sun room, at our request, and it was perfect for conversation and privacy. Will return soon.
Our service was poor as was the server’s knowledge of soup ingredients.
My soup was so salty I had to add water from my glass to make it edible.
The gf Caesar was lacking.
The restaurant has good Italian food, which is hard to find in Central PA. The gluten-free options are exceptional. The service this time was not good at first, very slow. Another server noticed and chipped in to help so the service improved significantly.
Phenomenal! I live in a town with a lot of great Italian restaurants and Piazza surpasses them all by miles. Celiac safe
Excellent gluten free options!! Excellent waitress- so attentive and thoughtful. Casual place. We went back the next day for lunch
Here for a conference and am so tired of only having salad as a gluten free choice. Today I am so happy. I haven’t had pizza in over 10 years because of my celiac diagnosis. Piazza Sorrento made my dreams come true. It totally wowed me. James, our server, was delightful. I had a lovely evening and enjoyed every morsel of my meal. I highly recommend the pizza but don’t stop there. The ravioli is to die for as well. This place is the answer to a Celiac’s prayers. Thank you.
Was in town to visit the Hershey Theater and booked a reservation at Piazza Sorento. I was very pleased with the food and service. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely fantastic! The Shrimp crostini were to die for! If you are in the area, I highly recommend this restaurant, but strongly encourage a reservation!
Food was fabulous and wait staff was outstanding. The dining room was a little too noisy to hold a conversation. Was amazed at the Gluten-free options and the genuine care that the wait staff showed to my Gluten-free needs. We will be back!
We are from South Jersey but were in town to see a show at the Hershey Theater. We almost missed the restaurant as it is attached to a Turkey Hill convenience store (which I was thrilled since I love Turkey Hill iced tea and we don't have TK convenience stores in Jersey). The place was pretty busy for 5pm on a Saturday and we were seated right away. The place is very cute. There are plenty of choices on the menu and apparently there are specials but our waiter never told us them (or the people who sat behind us later so I guess he didn't feel the need). Would have liked to have known them as they are not printed out and given with the menu. Overall we were pleased with the food and would go back again if we are ever in the area.
The food is consistently good. Have gone here several times over the past year. The service was outstanding.
Great food; a bit noisy around us with 2 large groups.
All food items were delicious and served at appropriate temperatures. One minor glitch - when our waiter cleared the salad plates, I reminded him that we did not have the rolls yet. He apologized and immediately brought them to our table.
Pizza is super good. Pasta is good but think it’s a little over priced for what it is.
The place was amazing. My only complaint was the Bruschetta was not that good.
The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, all the pasta was hand made as with the desserts.
Will go again if I'm in the area again.
We continue to frequent Piazza Sorrento for the authentic Italian food and awesome, cozy atmosphere. The food is incredible and has never let us down. This is by far our favorite place to visit in Hershey!
It was delicious as usual. Love the food here!
Highly recommend. I am regular Italian and gluten free and they have a dedicated gluten free kitchen! Food is fantastic
We went there on valentines Day. Excellent food! Excellent service! No long wait. And it was very busy. We will be returning there often.
My wife and I came for Valentines Day dinner. Piazza Sorento’s was where we had our first date. We’ve returned on several occasions to celebrate our anniversary. There was a menu with specials. I got the crab cakes and my wife got the salmon. Both were really good. Our server was excellent. Highly recommend dining here.
Have a lot of great gluten free options. The waitress was very kind and attentive to our needs. Great service.
Delicious food. highly recommend the grilled gnocchi. Think the restaurant is a little overpriced.
We drive an hour for their amazing gluten free options!!! Totally worth the drive!
Great food and amazing service!
One of our go to places for a consistently delicious meal, quality service and reasonable prices.
