Kona was great. Crab crunch roll seemed a little off but everything else was excellent including the drinks, Bama Roll, and Wave Roll. I’ve been a few times and expected the noise and the DJ always has great mixes. Service is usually friendly and helpful.
Once again, a wonderful dining experience. Going on a Tuesday, Chef Esther hit the nail on the head as that's when the restaurant receives their weekly fish inventory.
A restaurant that can be visited casually or for a more formal event.
This was the best sushi experience I’ve ever had. My friend enjoyed their birthday celebration and mentioned several times throughout the meal that many of the bites took them on a journey. From the moment we walked in we were immersed and transfixed by the atmosphere and attention to detail.
The pictures we took did not do justice to the overall experience that we talked about well into the evening. We look forward to another visit and journey of the senses.
We are fortunate to have such an amazing experience available here in the desert.
Thank you for an unforgettable evening.
We celebrated my birthday with a perfect meal at King's Fish House. We usually dine at King's in Laguna Hills, California. We both irdered halibut. I ordered the Macadamia nut crusted halibut with orange, ginger glaze that was cooked to perfection. My friend also ordered halibut but the grilled. His also was perfectly grilled, not overcooked. We both ordered the bake potato that is always a winner. Our server was very attentive but never overly so. The only negative is the noise level in both locations. It's more pleasant eating outside, but it was too hot in Phoenix.
Tiny venue, so reservations are HIGHLY recommended. We got sat at the bar which was like having dinner and a show. We were able to watch the bartenders making (strong) drinks and the guy at the other end making the sushi rolls.
Staff was pleasant and food was good.
