chose this restaurant since we we seeing a show at Treasure Island. Our server was lethargic.
Cocktail service was slow. Ordered a special, filet and shrimp, I originally went with a english style prime rib. PRime rib selection is poor, either get a lot or little. I changed the order after hearing that brassini or mediterranean sea bass was a special. I learned after hearing another waiter explain the specials. Chee our server only told us of one.
The filet was undercooked, and not tender, the Brassini was barely visible on the plate. about the size of a slice of bacon cut in two. Brassini is a small fish and in the past served whole. This entree was overshadowed by the polenta.
Also she ordered the Filet and asked for a baked potato instead of mashed, but when i made my original order with the prime rib, the baked potato was a $3.00 upcharge. As i have learned over the years, if the name Mastro's or Ruth Chris is not preceding the name steak, your getting mediocre.
My wife, daughter and I had dinner at Phil's before a show and loved it. It was recommended by a Las Vegas local and did not disappoint. I had arguably the best bone in rib eye steak that I have ever had. Very tender, cooked right and flavorful. We had a great time and the service is very good too. Highly recommend Phil and will be back next time we're in Vegas.
Mediocre food with high end prices. The best thing about this place was the waiter. Very friendly and attentive service. Peter Luger prices and Outback quality. You don't mind paying a little more for high quality meats and steaks, but Phil's just isn't that place. Espresso was good though.

My wife had the crab cake-good but she has had better
I had chicken marsalla which was good, large portion, but not outstanding
I did not like the bread-but that is my personal preference. All in all- OK
The pre fixed menu was absolutely delicious. The lobster corn chowder and Caesar salad were very good, the filet mignon was cooked perfectly, and the cappuccino creme brulee was the best I've had. My husband and I will eat here again the next time we're in Vegas.
Kind of disappointed in the food. For the prices we expected some amazing food, but it was mediocre at best. The bread was great, but the pasta was drowning in a poorly made red sauce that made me long for some Chef Boy Ardee. My fault, I knew that there were very limited dining options at the TI. Live and learn!
I tend to get the same special because it's so good, and such a good value. But anything I've had here is delicious, made to my specifications and served in a timely way without making me feel rushed. Beef is delicious, well seasoned and served at the perfect temperature. Sides and homemade bread are delicious. Staff is courteous and efficient.
The service was top noche, the food was incredible. We were there to celebrate my birthday prior to a Cirque Du Soleil show, and to take my parents for a great visit.
The prime rib was amazing melting in our mouth, the staff went out of there way to prepare a dish not offered on the menu for our young son.
We will return again, for other special occasions!
We reserved at Phil's because it was close to Mystere in Treasure Island. The food was mediocre at best and very expensive to boot. They do have a nice wine list and our party of six had two bottles of Robert Mondavi chardonnay that was excellent. I cannot recommend Phil's for steaks - both that we ordered were flavorless and dry. The lamb chops were excellent. The fish was overcooked and flavorless. The lobster tails were overcooked and tough. The "whole" lobster came in pieces and was mushy and watery because of overcooking. Overall this was a disappointing experience.
Fine dining prices with less than Outback quality and service. Ordered the "Fresh"Sea Bass at market price...clearly it was previously frozen, very OVER cooked, super dry. Prepared with a rice that had a sauce that tasted like mayo and undercooked basically raw broccoli. TERRIBLE! Date got Prime Rib. This whole thing was a big piece of fat with no flavor. Server didn't know the specials and didn't offer us a cheaper special they were running. Didn't find out about it until we saw a coupon in our room. Didn't ask us if we wanted an entrée or salad. We had to flag him down to order. After that he was pretty non-existent. Had to request our bill from a busser. We paid cash, left it on the table and left. Not 1 person greeted us on the way out. Bill was just shy of $200.00. NEVER will I go back or recommend this place.
For the price of the food, I do not think it was worth what i spent. The food was sort of tasteless and I've paid a fraction of the cost for more flavorable dining in the past. Probably wouldn't go again. Atmosphere is definitely nice. Servers are prompt. Just the food is whatever
My review was posted on my Facebook page as one of my Restaurant Week Las Vegas updates. Tonight's date was at Phil's Italian Steakhouse in the Treasure Island. And it was FANTASTIC! I literally cut my filet mignon with my butter knife.
The general manager came over to our table and chatted with us. He was a very pleasant gentleman and seemed to take great pride in his place, and in being able to help out #ThreeSquare by taking part in Restaurant Week.
Restaurant Week is an annual thing where a hundred or so great Vegas restaurants each put up a price fixe menu, with some of the price going to ThreeSquare, which is a charity that help feed people.
Our table was ready when we arrived at our reservation time. The hostess was very nice and I got the impression that she's been there a while. The cheddar and bacon bread was wonderful with an unusual flavour. And they let the butter get soft enough to spread before serving it.
My wife and I each ordered the same thing from the limited price fixe menu. Lobster and corn chowder, 8oz filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus, with a cappuccino creme brulee.
Every bite was wonderful. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked. This is a more expensive place than we usually eat at (we have twin 8 year olds) but I can certainly see us making Phil's a semi-regular place for special nights for just the 2 of us.
One word HORRIBLE!!! The service and food! Took 50 minutes to get ordered appetizers that was less than desirable. Bruschetta is suppose to be crisp not soggy. the main course that we had to ask for after an hour an 20 minutes taste like it had been dropped out of a can of soup. Funny the manager was walking around however he kept skipping our table maybe because he noticed the angry looks on our faces. Total let down not fine dining at all
The service was great with a fantastic notable exception-the server's helper Maria was outstanding! If we even looked as if we had a question or needed something she was right there. An example of this exceptional service was when we asked for a salt shaker which was supplied immediately. Maria noticed we were having some difficulty using it so she came over and stated she had noticed our challenge with it. After asking if she could have it she put a napkin on the table and tried using the salt shaker. Verifying it was not working properly she carefully folded up the napkin and replaced the salt shaker, apologizing for the inconvenience. She made use the replacement was working well before leaving the table. Outstanding!!!!
The filet mignon was perfect. I have eaten there before and the filet was tasty both times. The asparagus were delicious and the mash potatoes were tasty. Its a little pricey but worth the visit. They asked if we were celebrating anything and we said anniversary. After dinner was done they brought out a small dessert with a candle for us (nice touch). Server was on point throughout dinner.
