Phillips Seafood Ratings and Reviews
The five of us were less than enthused by all aspects. We did get in on time, however. No vegetarian options other than side salad. Told waiter I am vegetarian and ordered Brussels. They were filled with bacon, which weren't mentioned on menu and waiter said nothing about.
OK and very expensive. I'm not sure why I had high expectations but I did. I ordered the 2nd cheapest thing on the entree menu, a salad and a glass of regular wine and still ended up with $50 for one person. While fine, the $10 wedge salad was small, the Shrimp, while cooked well, tasted just like the fries, and the by the glass wine list was totally pedestrian and included exactly the same wines I'd find at Applebe's. Phillips should be better than that. My server was excellent and working hard.
Went because they had a gluten free crab cake, which they do, and they seem knowledgeable about gluten allergies. However, our crab cakes had a lot of shell (one gluten free, one regular), and the roast potatoes were undercooked. The mash potatoes were really good, and the creme brûlée was good too. We also had the deviled eggs as an appetizer, and they were great. All in all, we expected more from a famous restaurant like this.
My Food was delicious but I'm not sure the price matched it . My waiter seemed like he didn't want to be there so that didn't make the experience that any better.
Also I'm not sure if this was this particular restaurant but I've been to many seafood places in I've never had as many shells in my crab cakes or dip like I did at this at this restaurant.
I'll go back if I'm ever in Baltimore but my expectations will be much lower
I WAS COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS VISIT TO PHILLIPS. I HAD EATEN THERE PREVIOUSLY AND HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE IN 2015 WHICH PROMPTED MY COMING BACK THIS TIME. THE WAITRESS WAS VERY NICE AND BROUGHT THE FOOD OUT IN A TIMELY MANNER. HOWEVER, MY STEAK WAS ORDERED MEDIUM WELL AND AT BEST WAS RARE WITH BURNT EXTERIOR. THIS WAS BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE MANAGER .
I was visiting from Florida - Reserved a table but had to wait anyway. Once at table, waiters weren't sure who had our table so they were very slow. When my order finally arrived 20 minutes after my husbands, my dinner was wrong but I did eat the crab cakes. The waiter came over to see if everything was alright about 20 minutes after my meal was delivered because he noticed all the food on my plate. He offered me other food items and I finally agreed to crab soup (it was delicious) Don't think I would go back if I get to this area again.
Been coming to Phillips the past 15 years. Love this place. After Ravens game! Drinks with buddies and a bucket of crab....don’t get any better then that. Cost a bit more but definitely worth it. Inner Harbor is my favorite. Going to miss this place (again) when I move.
This was a special trip to the Inner Harbour for my family and I. I went to Phillips as a child with my parents when we visited the Inner Harbour many moons ago and it was big deal then for our family. I am a single mom so I saved a while for this trip so my boys could have the same great
experience that I did when I was little. I never forgot the special dinner from when I was a child and was so happy we had a beautiful night there eating outdoors and a friendly server. I thank you for a great evening and making more memories.
Overpriced. Waiter did not offer bread until we asked. After we said we need to look at menu a bit more he disappeared for 15 minutes. Served luke warm coffee . Food was overpriced and under portioned.
In the end, waiter never offered dessert...so we paid and went to cheesecake factory.
First time in a few years dining at Phillips. Their signature crab cakes were ok. They were mushy and didn’t taste fresh
We waited a long time for our appetizer and entrees. Our waiter was noticeably absent. When my daughter spilled her soda, I asked someone to help, but he never came back. I had to get up and interrupt another waitress to ask for some napkins. She was very helpful. A disappointment.
Typical “tourist” stop that you go to just because. Was really surprised at the lack of fresh seafood dishes. Food was average and overpriced -we spend 280 for 4 on a few apps, two entrees and an entree salad. The crab cakes - which they claim to be 50/50 unless you get the $47 version - were average and small. Overall was pretty disappointed we spent so much on the meal.
We enjoyed our time at Phillips. I noted on my reservation that we were dining to celebrate our wedding anniversary and I was a little surprised no one mentioned it. At the end of the meal, our server did not offer us the dessert menu even though we watched other servers bringing the platter of desserts to their guests to select an option. Not sure why we weren't offered the same. Otherwise the food was good.
This was my second time coming to this location. When my fiancée went to the ladies room. I advised the waiter that I was celebrating my fiancée birthday. I asked if I could buy a cake and have them place a candle on it for me. He said he’ll take care of it after dinner. However, after dinner the waiter did not bring out anything. I believe he honestly forgot but I wish he didn’t. It would have made the night that much more special. I still left a 20% tip and plan on coming back again next time I’m in Baltimore. But probably not on her birthday.
Had an early reservation on a Saturday night. Somehow our order must have gotten lost. Others came and went as we waited for our food. Waiter was very apologetic. Visited our table twice to say food was on the way...maybe time to try another restaurant at Inner Harbor.
I took my boyfriend there for his birthday. The food was pretty good, i ordered a dozen of oysters, they were pretty good. For the entree, i got the clam bake for 2, it was pretty good, except the lobsters were kinda small and there was a huge plate at the bottom of the pot, so it wasn't really worth the money for me. Although we did have a good time.
