Food was subpar relative to the cost, one cut above fast food.
Best Crab Cakes I've ever had. Service was fantastic. Can't wait to go back to Baltimore and bring my family there.
I heard a lot of good things about Phillips and wanted to get a firsthand experience. From walking in the restaurant looked at warn and in need of an upkeep. I ordered a froze cocktail which was pretty good. And then ordered a crab cake and Cesar salad. The dressing was very tart which made the salad less enjoyable. The crab cake was also rather underwhelming. In summation the overall experience was okay but definitely did not live up to all of the hype.
The waiter was very friendly and the food was delicious!
Great food, friendly service, food came out fast and was great
The food was incredible and the staff were super friendly!! Can’t wait to go back!
The food was ok just not a lot. Also my bf ordered a Caesar salad as an appetizer and asked for extra dressing and extra croutons, whch did not come out as he asked. Then it took the water forever to bring it out. I wont be going back only because its better food in the surrounding area.
Excellent service and food on a cold night. Much appreciated.
Really nice and peaceful
Love this place, the food and the service. I definitely recommend it.
Good food, great service and decent atmosphere. The crab cakes were good but not all it was cracked up to be in my opinion, not worth the $32.
I went for my birthday but the ran out of some appetizer I wanted and a drink my son wanted. Our reservation was at 5:30 pm on a Saturday so I was shocked that they ran out of some of the food items.
Our server was excellent. I think it was a limited menu due to COVID reopening so will look forward to trying again in the future
We ordered the crab dip, broiled seafood trio, and Ultimate burger. Overall, really delicious. The server was excellent really friendly. Would definitely going back again if in the area. I would consider myself to be fluffy, the chairs weren't super comfortable. They are oddly shaped and the arms on the chair kind of cut into my hips. But, it wasn't unmanageable. If I go back I will ask for a booth.
The fish & chips is the best I have had in a long time.
Some of the dishes were just "ok" but our server Start was phenomenal, very attentive and nice!!
Service and food are always excellent! A true taste of Maryland!
The service was fast and friendly even during covid.
Went for Saturday brunch. Service was decent. Food was underwhelming. Cream of Crab Soup was absymal. I won’t be returning.
Love everything about it this restaurant. I visit every year.
The food was good. But I expected Amazing. It wasn’t that
Crab cakes are exceptional. Drinks are creative. Yes it’s a touristy type spot but I’m so glad we checked it out. Very quiet on a Friday afternoon so not much action, so we were able to easily get seated right away.
Blah food, unattentive waitress, Never saw a manager, filthy bathrooms and expensive for what we recieved.
I was very disappointed in the price for steamed crabs that were small and without meat, lightweight.
Vic is always a wonderful server. I will visit again when I am back in town.
My cream of crab soup was sent out with a dirty spoon and my wine glass took. However, my waiter VIC was extremely kind and professional and made my dining experience exceptional. I will definitely return to Phillips soon.
everything was excellent the food was excellent the service was excellent it was my 54th anniversary and everything turned out great
Tiara was a great server. She made our experience very pleasant.
I don’t know if the horrible experience is due to the coronavirus or what, but the food was and service was just unbelievable. We were seated for about 10-15 minutes before our waitress got to us. The food was just...a mess. My crab cake fell apart upon sticking my fork into it. The potatoes tasted like boxed potatoes. My shrimp was rubbery. My husband ordered the seafood Alfredo and the side was runny and nasty.
I planned a trip for myself, my husband, my sister and her husband to visit Baltimore from CHICAGO for the first time to try the talked about crab cakes and seafood. We literally did a turn around. We decided to come to Phillips since it’s a pillar in Baltimore. The customer service did not live up to this hype. First, our waitress Lashay seemed all over the place. She took our drink orders and apps (1 Chesapeake fries, Clam Chowder and Chesapeake crab dip) without writing them down. We figured she knew her Job well enough to remember everything. Well, that was not the case...20 minutes later, no drinks. She came back and blamed the bar for the drink delay. Once the drinks came, we proceeded with our regular orders (but still have not received our apps nor an update). We ordered 2 Chesapeake Chickens, 1 crab steam bucket, and a rib-eye steak well done. We received everything instead of the rib eye...they sent out 2 crab steamed buckets! 30 minutes later (already a hour in the restaurant) our food comes out...STILL NO APPS! So we let the person who bought our food out know that we didn’t want the apps since our main course has arrived and asked to speak with a manager. Lashay comes out and says “I’m sorry I think I forgot to put the apps in”. It’s sad because we really wanted to taste what we’ve ordered. The manager on duty that evening (Saturday Oct. 17, 2020 between 4:30pm and 6:30pm) came and was very nonchalant and blew us off with unnecessary apologizes! My husband had to wait almost another 30 minutes for the steak to be made well done in which everyone else finished eating and the steak was still was not done! We had to ask assistance from Anthony (another table waiter) to assist us. Lashay never came back over to resolve the issue nor acted as if she cared about her table. Anthony was a big help with grabbing the manager and silverware! Thanks Anthony!
Ehh it was okay the crab was really good
Seafood pasta dish had cold crab meat and hot pasta with shrimp. Manager Jason Epps went out of his way to replace the food and offer some starters while waiting for the food. Thank you Jason for your service.
Good outside seating and crab cakes are awesome. Service was great too
We got the. cream of crab soup and the broiled seafood platter. Everything was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
Was really looking forward to a good seafood dinner. Thought this place and the food was mediocre. Not bad, but not very good and certainly not worth almost $40 per entree. I’d def pass.
The food was just okay. We ordered crab cheese fries and we didn't see any crab meat. I wouldn't recommend it.
Does not live up to the hype. I was expecting excellent seafood but it was subpar.
I was celebrating my 21st wedding anniversary.
Very small food portion for the price charged, also food was nasty
The food was okay at best. It’s rated as a four star restaurant but more like two or three stars. I drove two hours to eat at Phillips and could have saved the time, gas, and money. I will not visit again.
I ordered cream of crab soup and returned it, changed it for lobster bisque, which was not good either. Entree was ultimate crab cake, lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes tasted like boxed spuds, and asparagus was overcooked. Also, ordered the steam bucket of snow crabs and shrimp, both were overcooked and dry.
