Warm and charming atmosphere. Wait service could improve
The steak was really fatty & the atmosphere was pretty dim and dreary. The service excellent but overall it wasn’t a pleasant experience
Our server at brunch was superb. The food was good, timely, and reasonably priced. It’s a great little brunch spot.
Saturday night, Service quite rude and pushy. Kent spilling our drinks &water. Assumed we were leaving a 50% tip which is preposterous. Food was ok. Manager came to apologise when he sensed we werent happy.
Service was pleasant, but a bit on the slower side. Drink orders took extremely long, and yet the restaurant was hardly filled to capacity. Food was okay and a bit bland, nothing outstanding. I had their popular chicken pot pie my friend had the “paella”, both of which needed several generous shakes of salt and pepper. The beet salad with goat cheese was lacking goat cheese. The two mini dollops of goat cheese barely equaled a half teaspoon. I don’t think that it should be called “beet and goat cheese salad” if the goat cheese is going to be used as merely a garnish.
Absolutely delicious food! Excellent and attentive service!
Our reservation was not ready for over an hour. The service was poor.
We had to wait a full hour despite our reservation and the staff did nothing to make up for the inconvenience
We had a nice steak dinner. The second glass of wine we ordered was horrible, we had to send it back. Otherwise a very nice time.
My go-to spot for brunch with friends! I love their bottomless w/ entree deal, vs. other places where you have to pay for bottomless + whatever your entree ends up being. They are very generous with the refills, and even let you switch once between Mimosas and Bloodys if you can't decide. Not to mention their food is just incredible. I got the Bourbon Eggs Benedict last time which was amazing.
I wish I could recall the name of our server he was SO NICE and went above and beyond!!
Dining here since 2011 and has not been disappointing yet. Thank you Mayte for keeping the mimosas flowing.
Wonderful experience! We had the most energetic and fun waiter ever; we could tell he loved what he was doing and was very pleasant and helpful throughout our dinner.
The food was absolutely delicious from the appetizers to the main course. We loved the tasty crostini variety and the green salad too. Our steak came grilled to perfection as we had asked, flavorful and absolutely sizzling hot.
We will be back for more :)
A couple of Big Tables contributed to a high but tolerable noise level. The food was excellent. Service was fine. Good beer and wine list.
LOVE Phillip Marie. It’s our favorite date spot. Was just a little noisy and busy this one time. Still will for sure be back. The best mimosas around and has the BEST food.
Bottomless on weekdays!
Everyone and everything was perfect. I was seated right away by my hostess My server Jack introduced himself and left menus and informed me about the specials. Water was served. My appetizer as well as my main course was cooked perfectly and well presented as well. Definitely a place I will return to in the future
A nice place with attentive staff for a reasonable price.
The food is always goo at Philipe Marie and the service is always efficient and friendly. The one downside, at least during Sunday brunch, is the the convivial spirit can be a bit noisy.
Fun place to meet friends for a nice Sunday brunch. Good food and friendly staff.
Good food but way too loud; need to fix the acoustics in this place.
Good bottomless brunch situation that is timed for 75 minutes. Food is solid for the price, good portion and they are good about refilling drinks. Toast options are sourdough or a 7-grain.
I made a reservation on opentable for 11 when they open. I had to stand outside in the rain until 11:05 when someone finally unlocked the door, but they didn’t say a word so I awkwardly went inside. The waitress gave me a rude “hi, go sit down” and I chose my table. It was very awkward because it was completely silent and we were the only people in there. The waitress then yelled “you have a table!” To someone in the back who responded “okay”. I quickly called another brunch place in the village that I knew of to see if they were open. The waitress then just threw the menus on our table and didn’t say anything. We promptly left because the ambience was awkward and the waitress clearly didn’t want us there and decided to be rude in her response.
We had a great dinner - the food and the service was fantastic - we will be back
Philip Marie is always excellent and is one of the few restaurant left in the West Village where one can go where it isn’t so loud that conversations are impossible. Also, the food and service is outstanding.
Súper chuloooo para repetir!!
Fun brunch spot!! It was my friends 30th birthday. Did bottomless mimosas and they brought out a birthday cake for her! Amazing crab cakes!!
Loved the place. Went with a Groupon. The meal was delicious, but the steak had too much fat. Everything else was great
Delicious and outstanding, attentive staff with prices unheard of in the West Village. Can’t wait to go back!
The Bloody Mary was a bit over priced and over spiced. The food was a bit over spiced as well
My wife and I have been coming to Philip Marie for the past 10+ years. The food and service is always an A +.
did not know how to make an old fashioned or cook crab cakes. Beer was all frozen so couldn't be served
Service was very slow. Had a reservation and waited 25min after reservation to be seated. Had to continuously ask the waiter to refill our drinks during bottomless brunch. At no point did the waiter come to refill on their his own.
Great experience! Awesome bottomless brunch deal. Can't beat it. Delicious food too.
Love the food... always my go to brunch spot. The prices have gone up.
Great brunch in a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend the Crab Cake Benedict, the Grilled Chicken BLT Salad, & the Veggie Frittata! Very friendly staff & great service round this meal out & make it well worth the price! Just go, already!!
It was a good time!
If you love Steak then this is the place to go to. We love their surf and turf also out of this world. You can tell the love the chefs put into the meals. Good to the last bite and they also accommodate Gluten free. Will be back as always!! Danny &Hilary
Very good service. Price is not expensive and food quality is good. Good atmosphere. It was easy to get a street metered parking when I got there at 6:45pm.
Very busy for brunch. Hostess didn't want to seat us even though we were less than 15 min late from our reservation time (she relented). Server has very nice but too busy to stay on top of our unlimited mimosa deal. Food was good, just a bit to small and hectic for a totally enjoyable brunch.
