We were seated in a small room downstairs and it was quiet and cozy and perfect for conversation. There was another group in the room and that was it. I will definitely request that room the next time I eat there with a group

This was one of the worst brunches I've had in ages. The crab cakes we mushy mess with crab 'flavor', the bacon side was cold, fat, poorest quality bacon I've ever seen. The scrambled eggs were well cooked though so at least there was that. This is one step down from a diner. And I expected so much more from a french place in the west village. Next!

Known for having the most romantic table in the city, you don't have to lock yourself in the wine cellar to enjoy a good meal at a fair price. I've never had a bad meal here and enjoy taking new people to this one of a kind restaurant in the West Village. Known for some of the game foods they prepare, my favorite night to come is Sunday for the BBQ dinner. It's good food at a reasonable price and a lovely setting.

Got there and sat at the bar for an hour . We were then seated for dinner. Food was well prepared. Would definitely be back when we're not doing the oyster bar thing.

Philip Marie offers a great ambiance which is spoiled by mediocre food. The "crispy" calamari was soggy and greasy. The pulled pork was disappointing. Too bad, because I really wanted to like this place.

Philip Marie was lovely! I had my birthday brunch here for 12 people and the staff was so accommodating and nice! The food was amazing, and so were the mimosas. Will absolutely be returning!

The reason for docking a star overall is because we had to wait for more than ten minutes after we arrived at the restaurant and notified the Maître d'. What's the point of making a reservation if you have to wait!

Always fun inviting and cozy. Best staff ever, makes me feel like I'm at home. Great manager Oscar, always checking on us and everyone to make sure things are okay. Friendly and attentive wait staff Desmond and Norberto, sweet hostess Karen who always greets everyone with a smile. I've always had a great time at Philip Marie the food is very good, but what keeps me coming back is people who work there.

Dined out here because they had a special pumpkin spiced food and wine pairing. We love pumpkin and have eaten at this restaurant before and it's always been excellent. Tonight's dinner was no exception. Food, wine, service and ambiance were all outstanding. All 3 of us ( myself, husband and daughter- )really enjoyed it! I give it 5 pumpkins!👍🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

Staff was helpful when we thought we were going to be late (we were only 2 minutes late). There were three steps into the restaurant, but as my wife's arthritis is what it is it was an issue getting in and out.

Sparkling rose wine was not immediately available, but wait staff kept us abreast of the status as it chilled.

There were some misunderstandings on items requested, but they did get ironed out. My wife and i asked to view two deserts and wait staff had to go through management/chef. Itb may have been that they thought we wanated a taste, but we just wanted to view them. It took more explanation than we thought it should.

Also part of one guest's desert was to be taken home. As it was being wrapped and delivered back to the table it was dropped onto the floor, but nothing was mentioned.

It is a nice place, atmosphere wise. It has restrooms in the basement and a steep narrow staircase going down. That part is not handicap friendly. In fact some might think it is handicap challenged.

Conversation is much easier on a weekday night than for weekend brunch, when it gets really crazy. Fish tacos are terrific, as is everything else. Deservedly busy place and love those freebie wine tickets, thank you.

Everything great but avoid busy times if you really want to talk to someone without shouting.
The stairway to the bathrooms is a little steep, may be a problem for those with walking or balance issues.

Very charming space with lots of options menu-wise for whatever you're craving. The bartender was great, but the service was horrible. Friendly, but awful. Our four apps turned into a three hour dinner. We had to ask food runners throughout to get our waiter to fill our waters and put in our order. Would recommend with better service for sure.

Food was good and it's a great place . The brunch was a bit disappointing because we had mimosas that tasted more like club soda because they where watered down . To make matters worse we actually saw the bartender put in the club soda when mimosas are just supposed to be sparkling and orange juice. Guess you get what you pay for

I went for brunch. The food portion was smaller than expected but tastey. The waitress was unfriendly and we had to look for her a few times but it was crowded and as we were sitting outside I don't know how many, if any, tables she was responsible for inside.
I would go back but next time for dinner.

Third or fourth visit to this restaurant. Sat outside at our request. Good food and wine and plenty of it. The staff who looked after us were very friendly and attentive. A group on the next table were rather loud which spoiled any chance of having a quiet meal. However all in all an enjoyable occasion (once the group had left).

Great value for the neighborhood. I came here for brunch to meet up with a friend and found the noise level to be high enough where it didn't feel like everyone could hear our conversation but low enough where we weren't yelling. Very pretty restaurant, outdoor seating looked great but since they didn't have any outdoor tables left we got a beautiful window seat right in the front. The waiters are fast and friendly. We did the all you could drink and they were always filling up our drinks (both water and alcoholic). Food was good, pretty standard brunch and they don't pressure you to leave. Overall great find for the value!
