A wonderful alternative Creative entree presentations. Breakfast pizza w/eggs was very good. The Punjab bowl was nourishing ,filling & flavorful. The cheesecake of the day was worth having after the meal. Super quiet. Just right for conversation. Art exhibits are a bonus.
I had never been and the woman who took my order was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. Highly recommend for a healthy meal!

Pharm Table is a wonderful option for a healthy, organic, freshly prepared lunch in the downtown area. The restaurant has a small parking lot, which is a super plus for the location. The interior is warm, calm and welcoming (and surprisingly spacious with ample, spread out seating!). The young lady taking my order at the counter and manager were most patient as they answered my many questions about menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, etc...The collard tacos were served with a variety of fresh, vibrant vegetables and interesting vegetable based spreads. My least favorite was the "beet hummus" because I found the flavor to be a bit too earthy/muddy. I added chicken to the tacos which was very moist and wells seasoned but I felt that the portion was a bit skimpy for the upcharge amount (and the meat was placed in a separate bowl and not added to the vegetable based tacos making it a 'diy' addition). I also ordered an entree salad (I can't remember the specific name) which was another compilation of colorful, fresh, organic produce that featured hearty greens, beet noodles, red cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli and a mound of pureed sweet potatoes that came with a bright, mustard like tumeric chia dressing . I enjoyed the tacos and salad but my favorite tastes from Pharm Table came from the desserts. The spirulina truffles would please any dark chocolate lover's sweet tooth and they have a surprising, warming, slightly spicy end kick (from cinnamon and chili pepper, I believe?). I was lucky enough to nab one of the last slices of the seasonal kabocha squash vegan cheesecake, made super creamy with coconut, sweetened just enough with maple syrup and lucuma and featuring a lovely pumpkin, cinnamon flavor, all resting on a crunchy crust made of nuts and dates. All of the above was gluten free (and vegan, with the exception of the chicken that I added to the tacos) making Pharm Table a great choice for those who adhere to those food lifestyles.

We had seen very complimentary reviews of Pharm Table and have been eager to give it a try. Our lunchtime visit was a delightful introduction to the creative menu. We shared the Tunisian salad and Huarache, quenching our thirst with refreshing melon fresca. We will certainly return to this unique and charming cafe.
I go to PharmTable often and take friends whenever I can. The choices are locally sourced and organic; preparations are innovative and flavorful. Chef Elizabeth Johnson pays attention to aryuvedic principles in all her recipes, but ads a latin sensibility resulting in wonderful combinations. Daily special ice teas and fabulous carob date truffles round out a meal and you can always bring your own bottle. Explore and enjoy!
Fantastic! We loved every bite! It is the cutest place, right by the Tobin Center. We had the lamb and tamales and a flight of anti-inflammatory shots. Wow! Finished it off with some truffles. Rich...yum. We also got to meet the chef. She was warm and wonderful. Check this place out, it's worth your while.
Neat place but AC needs to be checked, food was good and service was awesome
I loved having the option to get healthy, organic, and diet specific options. Wish there were more restaurant like this. The owner/chef was very friendly and came to our table to talk to
us and the rest of the staff was friendly and knowledgable.
We ate dinner here before a concert at the Tobin. Reservations were for 6:15. It turned out to be a disaster. After 1 hour a small appetizer plate arrived. I told the waitstaff we had to leave at 7:50 in order to get to the concert at 8:00. At 7:40 our entree arrived, so had 10 minutes to eat it. I will not go back to this place. Food was ok, nothing I would want to experience again!
Our reservation was for 6 pm, we arrived at 6:18 (had a little trouble with parking), and informed the server we were attending a performance at the nearby Tobin Center.
We each ordered an appetizer and an entree, the server admitted that the restaurant was severely understaffed.
Our appetizers were served at about 7:15 (almost one hour after we arrived) , they were very delicious . At 7:30, we informed the server that we could no longer wait as the performance was scheduled to begin at 8. She told us our entrees were ready, but it was too late -- there was just no time to enjoy them and still make the curtain. So we left. The restaurant did not charge us for the appetizers, which was nice, but it was clear that there were some issues with the timely preparation and serving of dishes.
I'd like to go back there again when these problems are resolved and I don't have to keep an eye on the time. I wish the restaurant owners good luck.
My husband and I have been wanting to try Pharm Table since we first heard of it's opening. We were thrilled to see that they've begun a weekend dinner service. We went in with an open mind and found the restaurant to be very interesting. The food is like nothing you'll find in San Antonio. We very much enjoyed the location, although, be prepared to pay for parking. The staff and Chef Elizabeth are delightful. We weren't impressed with the main course offering, but loved the soups, salads and ceviche! Definitely plan to head back to try a breakfast or lunch opportunity some weekend. Not a restaurant for the picky eater or small children. They don't serve alcohol but do allow wine to be brought in with a $15 cork fee. If you're feeling a little adventurous, give it a shot!
