Food was great as always.
Overly priced and the food is not good at all. There are tons of other "Mexican" restaurants in Los Angeles so take your money elsewhere.
We were four friends letting the waitress choose for us what to eat. Beautiful well tasting dishes. Fast service and the Michelada was great too
Good location. Great food. Awesome margaritas! Fun environment.
Great atmosphere, food is amazing, love the octopus tacos, and friendly staff 👍🏽
The potato tacos were very good and a great bargain at $5.00. I was a little upset, however, when I was barely 3/4 through my first one and taking a little rest. The bus person asked if they could take my small plate with the quarter. Really?, but that was pretty typical of the oblivious staff.
I was also appalled by the $5 per diet coke charge. Ironic that it was the same cost as 3 tacos. I also thought $14 for guacamole was a little high.
Biggest annoyance was a 4% surcharge for the restaurant to supply health insurance to its employees. Should be part of the cost of doing business and frankly, for the most part their prices seem high enough to be able to cover it.
Food and drinks were amazing, however very overpriced for what you get. It's worth the splurging.. but a $6 mini taco and $15 mini margarita can get very expensive very fast.
Highly recommend making a reservation when planning to go - around 7PM the restaurant gets crowded.
Overall, service and food were very good. Highly recommend the pork belly taco and the blood orange cocktail.
Great food! Small portions but it allows you to try multiple things. But it adds up.
Very child friendly and accommodating host. We showed up with a 5 month old, a 9 month old and a 16 month old and everyone was very welcoming.
Came for Friday evening happy hour and it was perfect.
The happy hour menu is definitely a great deal!
The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The only problem I had was that I didn't know that everything was fried in peanut oil so my allergic kids could not eat the chips. Not allergy friendly, but other than that, we were able to find them some tacos which were amazing. I didn't like that they sat a group of men at the same table as us, without any prior knowledge that it was "communal" seating.
Margarita was delicious. Our second time dining here. We had the nachos and Brussels dishes, we found them both disappointing, flavor a bit off-balance. We enjoyed our first visit and can’t explain the underwhelming second experience.
The best drinks.
Totally fun -
Meeting some friends from out of town they wanted Mexican. This was my second time here and the tacos are great that you looked great kind of loud but other than that I it's cool place
Petty Cash has the best food, drinks and service! It’s like a second home!
Great food. Busy atmosphere. We love the cauliflower nachos!
Good food...a little on the expensive side with guac at $14.
Great vibe and delicious food. The Cauliflower nachos are a must. Expensive even for upscale Mexican
Love this place! Recommend the al pastor tacos and the machaca quesadilla. The spicy margarita is pretty good too.
Open late!! Great tacos, especially the duck!! Margarita’s get the spicy one!!
Centrally located near Hollywood, Petty Cash was a good place to connect with friends. The drinks were decent , though they weren’t terribly open to customizing them. There were some inventive items on the menu (octopus tacos!) and the majority of our party was quite pleased with their meal. The guacamole was delish, a must have for any taqueria. We’d do it again.
Love it everything here is amazing. Great good and great staff
Great place, wonderful wipe. Lovely mex
First time to dine in and the food is great and the place is excellent to chill out with friends !!!
this is my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles! Also I have to shout out Jess the most amazing server and former hostess! She has made several experiences there completely amazing (i.e. family-in-law in town!)
The food at Petty Cash is always EPIC. Just incredible. From the guac to the nachos to the durados to ALL of the tacos ... PERFECTION.
Cauliflower nachos are amazing and the music rocks!
Great short rib quesadilla and guacamole. Good atmosphere for a date or to meet friends.
The space is very simple and comfortable. The service was top notch from start to finish. We had several cocktails that were well made. The food was very good with good portion sizes. We ordered so that we could share and try several dishes. Overall was worth coming back for.
Good food. Service was ok
Always good and fun! The nachos are the best and mandatory.
Great food & service!
Ok food, but overpriced for what it was. $7 for 1 taco!
Severs were very friendly, but actual service only so-so. Took a while to clear plates, nobody came to refill water etc.
Decent, convenient and fun atmosphere, but nothing to write home about.
One in our party has peanut allergies and EVERYTHING is cooked in peanut oil. Really?! I've never heard of such a thing. Tacos are good, but over priced. The chips COOKED IN PEANUT OIL weren't very good. And, our server had to be asked twice to bring our drinks.
The atmosphere was awesome.
We decided after going to petty cash for the past 3 years that it's time to say goodbye... $100 not including tip for 4 tacos, 3 drinks and guacamole is just too expensive.
Everything we ate was delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try more tacos and the cauliflower nachos!
New Years Day. Very busy and very loud. Great nachos and tacos. Did I mention it was incredibly loud? Not a fan of being placed at a communal table when we had a reservation.
We just moved to L.A. a few days before New Year's Eve and were looking for a tasty, fun place to grab a bite to eat before hitting the local watering holes. Petty Cash was hosting a late night NYE event and had plenty of open reservations so we thought we would take a chance! The service was spot-on throughout the whole evening, and the food was delicious! While I thought the food was delicious and creative, it's definitely more unconventional and we had some more selective eaters in our group who weren't as jazzed about some of the flavors used, so I'd encourage others to view the menu before visiting, but definitely take a chance on Petty Cash sometime soon!
