Pre-theatre and after work specials are available daily. Petterino's location is ideal for business lunches as well as a break from shopping or touring in the nearby State Street and Millennium Park venues. Pre-theatre diners have the option of leaving their car with Petterino's while they attend the show and can then pick it up after the performance is completed.
Nice place. Was disappointed with the quality of the food. I ordered a steak - it was overcooked and dry. The key lime pie, however, was delicious.
Excellent service and good food. Only wish valet opened earlier
The waiter was super busy and not able to take a beverage order as quickly as we would have liked, BUT we were seated earlier than our reservation and once the waiter got to us he was terrific! Always one of my favorite places!
Service was very poor. Waiter took order and we did not see him again until it was time to pay. Meal was warm, not hot. I wanted a refill on my Diet Coke. Asked the bus boy 3 times, each time he said he would get the server who never came:( You would think spending $100.00 on a meal would get some level of service.
Food and service we’re excellent as always. This is a great place to go before a show.
Guest dinner delivered cold. She was given credit for the dinner. Thank you
Good meal right next to the Goodman, and they're used to serving people with theater tickets.
My only issue Saturday was that they sat us right by the bathroom and my husband's chair was in the way and people kept kicking his chair or using his shoulders to get around him. Made him very uncomfortable.
Everything else was very good
This was a very convenient spot to eat close to the theater. Our server was very efficient and made some really nice suggestions.
The service was exceptional, both friendly and efficient. We will return often.
Loved it, first time there! Will definitely recommend to friends.
The food was great and our waiter was wonderful! We will be back soon.
Fish always good
Thank you for not rushing us!!!
Such good food and wine. Started with the good bread. Whitefish and five cheese ravioli with some garlic spinach. Used the valet for show parking.
Pre-theatre dinner; first question from our server was what time our theatre started. He kept us on time! John was great!!
Greeted pleasantly at the door. Sat immediately, which was surprising because the place was very busy. Service was spot on...food was fantastic!
Great food, great service, just slightly noisy not unbearable. Would return anytime.
Our bus had trouble getting us unloaded at restaurant
Everyone was so helpful getting everyone seated and served in time for the play
My friends and I like to have lunch at Petterino's prior to a matinee at the Goodman. The food is good and the service is usually excellent. The menu is fine and tends to stay the same. It would be nice to have some new additions.
Good food at reasonable prices; excellent service by helpful staff.
It was a very busy night and only 1 waitress for 8 tables (1 tables of 6). She put in the orders , the problem was food coming out of the kitchen and nobody knew where anything went. Another table got our appetizer, table next to us complained of cold food and other table wasn’t served when they were the first to be seated! Our appetizer was comped since it came after our meal! Since we had theater tickets it was a stressful meal.
Our go-to spot before we hit up our Broadway show!
Wonderful food but our server seemed beyond miserable and that he wanted nothing to do with us. It was my first time dining here so that was quite disappointing, and frustrating. He just seemed on edge and not happy
In fairness, the restaurant was very busy. However, despite being told a table was being prepared, we were seated 20 minutes late and after people who didn't appear to have a reservation were seated. We had theatre tickets so the delay made for a rushed dinner. The food which is normally reliably good was mediocre. A pasta dish arrived cold and gummy - there was no time to ask for a replacement. We've been going to Petterino's for over 15 years, but this was a very disappointing experience.
The wait for the valet parking was ridiculous. the food was good but not great for the price
Luckily the food is good, our server was terrible. Super distracted, rude and abrupt, super embarrassing because I had my friend’s 80 yr old mom who needed a few extra minutes.
I probably go to Petterino’s every couple months and I would just as soon go across the street to McDonald’s than have this server ever again.
I had a few extra minutes when I was waiting for my car so I was able to share it with the manager, we’ll see what happens next. Sorry Petterinos, I thought we were cool.
Our waitress made it a very good experience, after we waited on Dearborn for 40 minutes to valet! I had to leave the valet line and park in the garage across the street ($55.00 and no validation possible at restaurant) which was itself a nightmare, as they charged me twice (which I'm still disputing). It seems that if Petterinos cannot valet in a timely fashion, then they need to have an agreement with the garage, as do the other restaurants in the area!
Otherwise, they are an outstanding operation that does a very good job of getting you to your show on-time. The food is also very good.
We were seated right at our reservation time. Our waitress made sure that we were served in a timely manner since we were going to a concert right after.
Love Petterino's for dinner before or after the Broadway shows in the area. Be sure and make a reservation as always crowned. They do a great job getting you in and out quickly without feeling rushed. Delicious food and drink.
Our server and bus-boy were both excellent. Thoughtful, courteous, and very gracious.
Brunch before the theater! Great food great service!
Lunch with friends before an afternoon theatre show. First time our friends had been there & they all enjoyed it. Great food & great service. Will go again & recommend to others.
14 years celebrating Valentines Day in the same booth with my hubby and we Lobe it more every year
Petterino’s is a fantastic pre show dinner spot. The ambiance has a Broadway vibe with fantastic celebrity caricatures covering the walls. Their presence will sure to spark lots of great conversations and nostalgia. We loved that they did not rush you. The food was fantastic. I loved the 5 cheese ravioli. Good wine selection. I highly recommend the tiramisu for desert. 5 stars.
Valentine’s Day. The atmosphere was very nice and the food was tasteful. Server was attentive.
Excellent! had dinner before seeing Donna Summer show.
Pre Goodman dining. The food is consistently very good... not gourmet. The menu has a dish for just about every kind of eater. The service is very fast, sometimes too fast. The wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. What could be improved... the coffee. Portions are quite ample and the entrees are interesting with the come withs. All in all a very nice place to eat pre theatre. Nice parking arrangement with the restaurant too.
Great service and the roasted brussel sprouts are to die for!
