My husband and I ate dinner here on Saturday, Jan. 30. Our reservation was for 9pm. The place was basically empty. Our waitress looked tired and clearly wanted to go home, but she tolerated us. In her defense, when we ordered the lasagne, she "warned" us that they bake it in the oven and it's "crispy." Just so you know, at Petruce, "crispy" is code for "blackened." It looked and tasted like a charcoal brick. We asked the manager (presumably he was the manager) and he said oh yes, that's the way it's supposed to be. There was no offer to take it back or exchange it. The menu changes every 2-4 weeks, so hopefully they read this and take it off. I wish I could at least say our drinks were good, but they were slow to arrive and poorly mixed (one watery, one too strong). I think these guys know how to cook, but they want to reinvent/experiment with every recipe. No thanks.
